We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott in Nusa Dua, Bali 4 nights, and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, housekeeping, concierge, and all staff at the Momo Restaurant did their best to make our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed. Thank you and well done to Adi and Ulan at Momo restaurant. Their friendly and welcoming attitude made we feel comfortable during our stay. We booked a king room with a swimming pool view and the room was very spacious, modern, comfortable and quiet. We were upgraded to a premium room with a spa in the room. The swimming pool is the best in this hotel. Since Courtyard by Marriott is sharing the facilities with Marriott Garden, the guests can utilise both swimming pools and restaurants at both hotels. The breakfast was excellent at Courtyard by Marriott, where there are variety of food to choose from and the quality is above average. I like the Asian section of the breakfast the most where you can get freshly cooked noodles soup. The hotel is located 10 mins walk to Bali collection where you can find plenty of restaurants, ranges from Western, Italian, Indonesian, Burmese, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. We will certainly stay at Courtyard by Marriott if we visit Bali again.

No matter what kind of traveler you are, this place is perfect for relaxation. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel their thoughtful service. All the art and sculptures are truly inspiring. I highly recommend unwinding at the lowest pool — it’s incredibly relaxing to be surrounded by lush greenery next to a beautiful and clean pool. An amazing resort that has everything you need, with attentive and thoughtful service.

Jimbaran Bali|14.95km from city center
InterContinental Jimbaran is truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The location on Jimbaran Beach is amazing — a beautiful, clean beach perfect for swimming, and the resort offers a wide range of activities. The room, the grounds, and the staff were all excellent. The hotel is stunning, with multiple pools and beautifully maintained gardens. Breakfast was delicious, but the only downside is that there are often queues in the morning. Another issue is the common problem with sun loungers: many guests “reserve” them early in the morning with towels and then disappear for half a day. Unfortunately, the staff doesn’t remove these towels, so it can be difficult to find a shaded spot even when loungers are actually unused. I really hope more hotels, including this one, will adopt the policy that prevents guests from reserving loungers this way — many five-star resorts are already doing it, and it makes such a difference. Apart from this, everything else was simply wonderful. It’s a beautiful, luxurious resort that I would definitely recommend.

Facilities: This was the third hotel on our trip, and the facilities felt relatively new. We booked a Deluxe King room, which is their most basic category. The king bed was 1.8 meters wide, perfectly sufficient for us and our child. The room wasn't particularly large and didn't have a sofa or table, so we mostly had to sit on the bed. However, the Renaissance Uluwatu clearly prioritized the bathroom, featuring double sinks and a large bathtub. The balcony also had a table and chairs, which was convenient for drying swimwear after a dip. I've always loved the scent of their toiletries. [Highlight 1] The Kids' Club offers a wide array of activities and is very well-equipped. Children can do crafts, play games, watch movies, and even feed the hotel's resident owls. The Club features foosball, a kids' pool table, and three PlayStations (mostly offering child-friendly games). It's a perfect place for kids to freely explore and enjoy themselves. [Highlight 2] Strictly speaking, the hotel has three restaurants: Clay, Ikat, and Roosterfish (the Renaissance's 'enclave' restaurant at Pandawa Beach). Roosterfish is highly recommended. The ingredients are fresh, the seasoning is excellent, and the portions are generous. It requires a shuttle ride to get there, but you're rewarded with fantastic sea views. Next, I'd recommend Ikat, located within the main hotel complex, right by the large infinity pool. It serves Indonesian cuisine, a blend of traditional and modern flavors. While the portions are average, the taste, ingredients, service, and ambiance are all excellent. [Highlight 3] The hotel's design language evokes a grand sense of embracing nature. Built into the hillside, the lobby is situated on the highest floor. Multiple curved buildings are oriented in the same direction, staggered left and right to form a wing-like extension. Each individual building is typically only 5 to 6 stories tall, which provides a good sense of space. Different wings are connected by skywalks on various levels, and functional areas (restaurants, pools, gym, kids' club, banquet halls, etc.) are distributed across these different wings. First-time guests might find it complex, almost like a maze, while others might appreciate its unique charm. Hygiene: The room had no noticeable dust traps or unclean corners. Public areas of the hotel were kept clean and well-maintained in a timely manner. Environment: The main characteristic is the hotel's hillside location. To go out for meals or shopping, you either need a taxi or the shuttle bus. It's not like the Indigo Seminyak where you can easily walk out to explore and dine. However, the hotel's shuttle bus provides direct access to their Roosterfish Beach Club, located near the beach along the cliffside road, which somewhat compensates for not being directly on the beach. If you're comfortable with this, you'll likely appreciate the hotel's unique offerings. Service: Excellent. Among the three hotels we stayed at in Bali, the staff's attitude was consistently great. When Pram at the front desk learned we had an early 6 AM flight the next day, he arranged a generous breakfast box (featuring special fried noodles, croissants, fried eggs, fruit, coffee, juice, etc.) and ensured it was delivered punctually at checkout. I really enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance and will definitely consider their properties in other locations in the future.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this beachfront hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, ensuring a smooth check-in and a comfortable experience throughout. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from a beautiful, clean beach with stunning views, especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully furnished, with a comfortable bed and a balcony that offered a fantastic sea view. I appreciated the modern amenities and the cleanliness of both the room and the common areas. The hotel also offers easy access to nearby restaurants, cafes, and shops, which made exploring the area very convenient.

Ah, ”Eden Hotel” in Bali! It seems you're likely referring to one of the Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, specifically Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak or Grandmas Plus Hotel Airport. They are popular budget-friendly options in Bali. To give you a good review, I can summarize what people generally say about them, but if you stayed at a specific Grandmas Plus Hotel, let me know which one (e.g., Seminyak, Airport, Legian), and I can tailor the review even more. Here's a general overview of what people often say about Grandmas Plus Hotels in Bali, combining common feedback: Grandmas Plus Hotels, Bali (General Review) Overall Impression: Generally, Grandmas Plus Hotels are well-regarded as excellent value-for-money options, especially for budget travelers, solo travelers, and those looking for a convenient location. They often receive high ratings for their service and cleanliness. What people like most: * Excellent Location: This is a consistent highlight. * Seminyak: Very close to Seminyak Beach (often cited as a 5-minute walk) and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. This makes it ideal for those wanting to explore the vibrant Seminyak area. * Airport: Convenient for early flights or quick stopovers due to its proximity to the airport. * Friendly and Helpful Staff: Many guests praise the staff for being amicable, attentive, and going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. They often mention the staff's smiles and willingness to help. * Cleanliness: The rooms and common areas are consistently described as sparkling clean and well-maintained. * Value for Money: Guests frequently mention that the price paid for the amenities and location is a great deal. * Breakfast: Often receives positive remarks for being good, and sometimes even offering a ”different gourmet food selection” daily. * Amenities: While generally basic, they offer essential amenities. Some locations have a pool, and many have a connected restaurant/bar. In-house spas are also mentioned as a plus. * Comfort Rooms (after checkout): Some hotels in the chain offer a ”comfort room” which is a nice touch for guests with later flights. What people like least (or areas for improvement): * Room Size: A very common comment is that the rooms can be ”compact,” ”small,” or ”cramped,” especially for families. While well-designed and clean, they might feel a bit tight for some. * Noise: Depending on the room location, street noise, music, or bar noises can be audible, especially in Seminyak, which is a lively area. * Bathroom Ventilation/Issues: Some reviews mention a lack of exhaust fans in bathrooms, or occasional issues like drainage smells or spots on tiles. * Pool Size/Quality: For the Seminyak location, the pool is sometimes described as ”tiny” or ”very poor” and can get crowded. * Limited Amenities: While good for the price, some guests might miss certain features like mini-fridges or electric kettles in the rooms (though free mineral water is usually provided). Would I recommend this hotel? Based on common reviews, yes, I would recommend Grandmas Plus Hotels, especially if you are: * A budget-conscious traveler. * Looking for a hotel with an excellent, central location (Seminyak) or close to the airport. * Prioritizing friendly service and cleanliness over spacious rooms or extensive luxury amenities. * Traveling solo or as a couple (larger groups or families might find rooms a bit small). They are often described as a great base for exploring Bali, offering a comfortable and practical stay without a hefty price tag.

Having stayed here many times, it's my ”go to” near the airport and close to Kuta. The breakfasts are great, restaurant food good and available most of the time, pool fantastic and refreshing. I have never found it to be crowded. The only issue I experienced on this visit was that it took too long for my luggage to be brought to my room, despite a call to Reception. I finally physically returned to Reception to identify it. On this occasion, I booked the room at a very reasonable price simply before my evening flight after having been elsewhere in Bali. The machines in the hallway that dispense drinking water are very handy. One isn't limited. Drinking water is available at all times. I will return. Thank you.

It is a cosy hotel with good food at Harrissimo. Luckily our room was not road facing, so it was quieter. The walls are thin so you can hear people talking from neighbouring rooms. The staff service is excellent though. The cleanliness of the curtains and bedsheets etc, not that great. But it was still a comfortable stay and they have free buggy services to the beach twice a day! The massage in Inelsya Spa opposite was great and value-for-money. There are convenience stores nearby.

The room had excellent soundproofing and was spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly friendly. My Ctrip booking included two breakfasts, and the hotel also offers two complimentary breakfasts for children under 16, which meant our two adults and two children all had breakfast. It was genuinely delicious too! A bicycle tour through the rice paddies is offered daily at 5 PM and can be booked in advance. I stayed at Aksari Resort from April 30 to May 2 with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We had such a memorable experience that I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation. From the moment we arrived, Ms. Ayu Diah assisted us with great professionalism and warmth. She kindly guided us through everything during our stay—from check-in to check-out. Although the resort was fully booked and we weren’t able to receive an upgrade, she was incredibly responsive and helpful with all our requests, including spa and restaurant reservations. Her service made a big difference in our overall experience. The resort itself is stunning, the breakfast was excellent, and we were also impressed by Ms. Lovi at the restaurant, whose friendly attitude and warm smile added to our positive memories. If we have the chance to visit Bali again, we will definitely choose Aksari Resort without hesitation. Thank you for making our special occasion even more special, especially thanks to both, Ms. Ayu Diah and Ms. Lovi!

Started well at this nice hideaway. Very nice staff was a great plus. A lot of things were good with the pool and villa being cleaned etc but a broken bathtub, ants and a cockroach or two didn’t help. The staff helped when they could but were slow to reply via their QR code. The foot massages were amazing!🙂 Quite a bit away from central Ubud with a shuttle bus on hand running four or five times to relieve the burden of taxis or bikes as a way of transport. The breakfast wasn’t great. Didn’t take advantage of the 3 course meal included in our package, after the breakfast, so we thought they’d include a quesadilla and two drinks we bought on the first day instead, but unfortunately not. At the same time, with all the other issues above, we thought they would have. Overall, not worth the money paid.

Check in was smooth. Staffs were friendly. Hotel is huge, they have 3 blocks. I got the far end of the block which was a little bit away from the reception and the restaurants and the open space for smoking. In 2 circumstances, i walked up to the room and the door card could not work. This happened in 2 different nights. I had to walk down and got it reset, but the staffs didnt bother to apologise for this. The first time it happened I was okay, but the second time it happened, I got pissed off, because it was a long walk from the room to the reception. If you order food delivery, it will be a long walk to take your food at the reception. If you got the rooms at the reception level, I'm sure it will be a great experience like the first time I was there in the Junior Suite, but this time it was not as pleasant. Thumbs up though for the housekeeping, as the found out I had many shirts lying on the sofa, they brought a small clothes rack and hung my shirts.

Overall, a great experience. The breakfast was good. The front desk staff were friendly, thorough, and patient during check-in. It's a shame I didn't get to try the pool or gym. The coin-operated self-service laundry was convenient, but unfortunately, there were only two machines, and one was out of order, leading to long queues. There are many dining options nearby. The only thing I found unpleasant was the sewer smell. You could smell it even in the hotel lobby, and it was the same in the room. I took matters into my own hands and blocked the sink drain with a shower cap, as shown in photos 4, 5, and 6. As a result, the smell in the room was significantly reduced.

The room is super spacious, full room amenities, and we have partial view of the pool. The toiletries is their in-house brand and VERY good for my coloured hair. I’m impressed by their products! So tempted to buy it back home! There is also a complimentary afternoon tea and cakes! The staffs are ALL very friendly, always greeting us and strike a small chats. The housekeeper is so good that sometimes they clean up the room twice a day! Also because my flight was really late at 11:25pm, we stored our luggage at the hotel and had the complimentary afternoon tea there. After which I went for massage and came back to the resort to use their bathroom. They are so kind enough to provide me with bath towels etc to clean up! The location is very centralized of Ubud. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. It is not a hotel for the immobile as it’s slightly far from the beach and my party relied on Grab bikes to get around but the hotel did provide a shuttle service to the local beaches and mall which we didn’t use. That is the only potential downside. The pool was immaculate it was very cosy, rooms were of great quality with a safe and satellite TV provided with tea and coffee facilities. I recently checked in for what was supposed to be a quick one-night escape, but honestly? It felt like I’d accidentally booked a lifetime subscription to bliss. From the moment I arrived, every detail screamed “luxury”. And the staff? They’re the unsung heroes who turn a hotel stay into a heartfelt hug from a long-lost friend. From the security up front, check-in staff, room service up, swimming pool, buggy, restaurant, up to the valet staff are professional and full of smile. My room was a sprawling sanctuary that could easily host a small family reunion. High ceilings, plush king beds, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathrooms? In Uluwatu, surfing is a big deal. The waves are great, often topped with white caps, and the water is warm almost year-round. Depending on where you are along the coast, you might catch different tides and waves, perfect for all kinds of water sports. 🏄‍♂️

  • Nyang-Nyang Beach stretches over a kilometer of white sand bordered by dramatic cliffs. It's a bit of a hike to get down there, which means fewer people and more chill vibes for your beach day. 🏖️ For white sand and stunning cliff backdrops, Uluwatu's beaches are the place to be. Nyang-Nyang Beach is best place to soak up the sun and catch some waves in Bali.
  • Suluban Beach is unique with its accessible caves and rugged cliffs. Perfect for exploring or just watching skilled surfers catch some serious waves. 🌊
  • Bingin Beach is a surfer’s haven with amazing views of the Indian Ocean. The waves here are strong, drawing surfers who are serious about their sport. The white sand against the rough cliffs makes it a dramatic spot to catch waves or just soak in the sun. 🌊
