Paspor dan visa adalah dua dokumen penting yang dibutuhkan oleh orang yang ingin melakukan perjalanan ke luar negeri. Meskipun sama-sama penting, kedua dokumen ini memiliki fungsi dan peranan yang berbeda.
Paspor adalah dokumen resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh negara asal yang menyatakan identitas dan kewarganegaraan pemegangnya. Paspor berfungsi sebagai bukti diri bagi pemegangnya saat bepergian ke luar negeri. Paspor juga diperlukan untuk masuk dan keluar dari negara tujuan.
Sementara itu, visa adalah izin masuk yang diberikan oleh negara tujuan kepada orang asing untuk memasuki dan tinggal di wilayahnya selama jangka waktu tertentu. Panduan Mendapatkan Visa untuk Destinasi Impian
Jika negara impian Anda belum termasuk bebas visa Indonesia, Anda bisa melakukan pengajuan visa dengan cara berikut:
1. Tentukan jenis visa yang diperlukan

- KTP dan fotokopi: Siapkan KTP yang masih berlaku.

Saat ini, proses pembuatan visa semakin mudah dengan bantuan teknologi online. Situs web resmi kedutaan besar (kedubes) dan organisasi yang ditunjuk menjadi gerbang utama untuk mendapatkan informasi terbaru, mengunduh dokumen, dan melakukan pendaftaran.
Anda hanya perlu mengunjungi situs web kedubes negara tujuan untuk mencari informasi terbaru tentang persyaratan visa dan dokumen yang diperlukan. Unduh formulir aplikasi visa dan dokumen pendukung lainnya.
Selanjutnya, akses situs web organisasi yang ditunjuk oleh kedubes untuk proses pendaftaran visa. Buat akun dan isi data diri Anda dengan lengkap dan akurat. Pilih tanggal dan waktu yang sesuai untuk verifikasi/wawancara dokumen. Perhatikan jam operasional dan kuota yang tersedia.

Anda harus selalu mengikuti instruksi dari kedutaan besar atau organisasi yang ditunjuk. Dengan persiapan yang matang dan dokumen yang lengkap, proses penyerahan dokumen dan wawancara akan berjalan lancar.
5. Pengambilan visa
Setelah proses penyerahan dokumen dan wawancara selesai, Anda tidak bisa langsung mengambil visa di hari yang sama. Biasanya, Anda harus menunggu minimal 4 hari kerja, tergantung pada jumlah pemohon.
Anda akan mendapatkan update melalui SMS atau email mengenai perkembangan proses pengajuan aplikasi visa Anda. Perlu diingat bahwa untuk jenis visa yang ditempel di paspor, paspor asli tidak dapat dibawa pulang selama proses pengajuan. Hal ini berarti Anda tidak dapat melakukan perjalanan ke negara lain, meskipun negara tersebut bebas visa.
