If you're considering a stay at this hotel, it's essential to know that it isn't the latest five-star marvel – but perhaps that's part of its charm. The location, however, is a true gem. Set along a lively street brimming with delightful bistros, cozy bars, and handy supermarkets, it feels like living in the heart of a vibrant community. A leisurely 15-minute walk will lead you to Bali Collection, a delightful marketplace of dining and shopping options, like a colorful carnival waiting to be explored. Our room, located on the ground floor, was just a few steps away from crystal-clear pools that beckoned us to jump right in. There's nothing quite like the morning sun’s embrace as you enjoy breakfast poolside, surrounded by the soothing sounds of splashing water and laughter. Spending Christmas in this hotel was an experience filled with warmth and joy, albeit it was a full house! Breakfast became a bustling event, with throngs of visitors filling every available spot. “Tap, clatter, shuffle!” – the sounds of eager guests navigating through the dining area as the staff worked tirelessly to accommodate everyone. While more tables were added to manage the crowd, it did create a bit of a maze that sometimes felt restricted, but the festive atmosphere overshadowed the minor inconveniences. The most heartwarming moment came from the delightful hotel staff, who surprised us with Christmas stockings overflowing with baked treats and sweets, an unexpected and delightful gesture that made our stay feel truly special. These small touches made the holiday unforgettable, filling our hearts with cheer and warmth. In this hotel, every corner tells a story, and though it may not shine with newness, its spirit and community make it a wonderful place to stay. If you’re looking for a cozy retreat that thrives on genuine hospitality and the magic of the festive season, this hotel might just be the perfect fit for you. I left with a heart full of gratitude and fond memories, reminding me that sometimes the most beautiful experiences come from the simplest places.

First time experience to be in this resort rather than the hotels ever stayed. This hotel is quite old but gold. Everything here were just very fine. The staffs are so very nice, the whole service are near perfect! The hotel's room is big enough for us that travelled with infant, the bed is comfort & the bathroom is big enough with separated bathtub & shower. This hotel is tourist's favorite, with direct beach view area, three big resto, a lot of facilities & amusement centers. And mostly European tourists stayed in this hotel rather than locals. The acces to this hotel is also strategic. We were enjoy this hotel overall...

You can only get here by bike or taxi, there is no entertainment in the hotel itself, only for a couple of nights, I would not recommend taking it for many days! There is nowhere to walk around the territory, although according to the description and reviews it seems that there is) The building itself is a little outdated, the room seems clean, but there is a smell of dampness, I was stuffy and uncomfortable sleeping there! At 6 or 7 p.m the staff wanted to break into our room with cleaning, and the staff opened the door while we were in the room, it is very strange! In the evening the monkeys come, close the balcony, we liked them, no complaints) The coolest thing is the hotel restaurant, the view and staff are 100% perfect!

This is not an hotel, this is village!  It’s gigantic! we get lost many times!!  Staff, service and amenities were amazing ( the departure room , huge pool, next to the beach, amazing breakfast) but the room was a disappointment.  It was damp, musty. The pillows and bedsheets smell. The room felt humid. i couldn’t sleep, i had an headache and i have tried everything. i ask them to change for new pillows and bedsheets, i hung them outside on the balcony to get a bit of sunlight, i switched off the AC and open the door to game some fresh air but none worked.  I guess this side of the hotel wings 6000 never gets sunlight.  My daughter has asthma, i informed the hotel beforehand about to avoid this kind of issue.  As for the beach, it was plastics everywhere but i guess this was not the hotel matters since it’s a private beach but still.

Sanur Bali|7.01km from city center
I traveled with my 84 year old grandmother and 4 year old daughter. The front gate was under renovation, but that didn't detract from the beautiful driveway and reception. It felt very palatial. The check-in process was easy, and our rooms were ready by 230pm. We had two superior rooms, and they were on the smaller side but had everything you needed and was well laid out. The tirta restaurant service was quite slow and the food was fine. The woodfire pizza was a hit with my daughter. The grounds are beautifully maintained. My only criticisms would be that there was no kids menu advertised anywhere or even mentioned to us until I asked why they didn't have one at check out and was told they did. The kids club is really only suitable for toddlers they way it's equipped. The bikes for hire are also quite expensive considering the condition they are in, and my biggest issue was the appearance of the kids' waterside area. I was under the impression there was a renovation on it, but it is really quite run down. In saying that it didn't stop my child and the little friends she made from having a ball. The location was further south, and then we have stayed before but there is still easy access to everything sanur has to offer and right on the beach.

1) Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to the main Kuta Beach walking area and close to many good restaurants and spa / massage places. You don't need to travel very far. 2) The hotel itself is very old and really in need of refurbishment. I stayed there 4 nights and I had to call them in twice. Once for a non-working fridge and the second time because the knob cover in my shower fell off. The pool in the hotel would have been really nice 20-30 years ago. It really needs updating and refurbishment. It was probably 5 stars 30 years ago. Now, maybe a 3 stars max... The room itself is quite a good size so it can easily fit a family. 3) The services of the staff were pretty decent. They were helpful and polite. 4) Breakfast was a decent buffet spread with some variation each day. 5) Cleanliness was normal.

Hotel Review: 2/5 I stayed at this hotel for six days. While the location is excellent and convenient for exploring the area, the service quality was disappointing. During breakfast, most staff members appeared unfriendly and rarely smiled, particularly two ladies who seemed to be supervisors. The security team also seemed to prioritize greeting foreign guests over locals, which felt unfair and unwelcoming. The food was another major drawback. There were no traditional Balinese desserts, and the only fruit options provided throughout my stay were papaya and watermelon. The bakery selection was extremely limited, which made the dining experience monotonous and unappealing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the poor service and uninspiring food. I definitely won’t return, this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed 👎🏼

Five star service! Quick check in and out. The friendly and outgoing staff made sure you are looked after. Can provide airport transfer services if arranged in advance. Location in Kuta/Legian is very close to the beach and shops but the street is very narrow and can confuse some taxi drivers. The rooftop pool and bar offer a great view of the beach and surrounding area. The restaurant downstairs has a good lunch and dinner menu and has buffet breakfasts for reasonable prices. During our stay, my child fell ill (digestive issue) and I was deeply grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the receptionist and Service Express staff, particularly Safitri. She consistently followed up on my child's well-being, showing genuine care and attentiveness (from doctor recommendation, daily follow up, to complimentary plain porridge suited to my child's needs). Lovina Bali|59.68km from city center
The location was in a very scenic spot, it was quiet, and didn't get much rain while the rest of Bali got more rain, so I was very happy. The only problem is that its a 2-3 hour drive from the airport with a lot of winding around corners and going up and down hills - true torture for someone like me that gets carsick. People just need to be prepared for the drive, but it's worth it. If you're the type of traveler that wants nightlife and partying, then stick close to the airport in Denpasar instead. If you want a relaxing beach vacation like me (still plenty of alcohol at the beach bar), then this is your place. The food was absolutely superb for lunch and dinner! The breakfast was average, more western style, but maybe I'm biased because I'm not a breakfast person anyways. You can always just sleep in and go for lunch. The pizzeria's pizza was perfection, and all other menu foods I tried, I loved. The service was great, everyone was very kind and helpful. On my last night when I was feeling too ill to eat, the restaurant staff made a free pot of tea for me and I was so grateful. The resort also called a doctor for me, which I didn't even know was an option, and I was so grateful. Lastly, the resort was stunning! Everything made of stone felt so safe and clean, everything was family friendly, there's two beautiful pools, and the beach was unparalleled. The beach bar & restaurant was perfectly situated so you can watch both the sunset and the sunrise and you can relax while your kids or friends play. Lots of outdoor space to relax, and the resort provided a free shuttle service to nearby places. There was even a gift shop that also sold sunscreen and aloe vera. And the accommodations! The bed was wonderful, the room was spacious, all amenities provided, and the shower was wonderful.

It was very good. I stayed at the Bay View. The room was a little big even for one person. There is only one hot spring, but if you change the time you can have it all to yourself. The water is lukewarm, so you can stay in it as long as you like. The facilities are a little old, but it's great for enjoying rural Bali. Breakfast is a la carte, but they will accommodate you to a certain extent. The staff are simple and nice. There is no TV in the room, but the water pressure and quantity of the shower are sufficient. The minibar sometimes doesn't cool, so be careful, and they will replace it if you ask. Menjagan is in the countryside, but I think it's good there. Make sure you have a means of transportation during your stay. I think walking is difficult.

Convenient location about a 5-10min drive to and from airport depending on traffic, provides free pickup and drop off from airport as well. Breakfast provided has the basics - coffee machine, egg station, fruits and salad, bread and pastries. Breakfast timing also ends later at 10:30am instead of 10am for most other hotels which is good for those who wakes up later. Has an outdoor sitting area but beware of occasional passing showers in June as some where trapped in the rain while eating breakfast. Very nice rooftop pool overlooking the ocean but the water is still cold at around 11am. Did see umbrellas at the front counter but did not ask to borrow during the stay.

Had a great staycation at Discovery Kartika Plaza. Even though the hotel shows its age, it was pretty well maintained due to the recent renovation. The hotel facilities are quite extensive and the prices (room and food) are affordable for a 5 star hotel. There’s a pedestrian access directly to the Discovery Mall next door and Kuta Beach. While this hotel does not currently have a private beach, one is currently being built with completion due in 1 year. Some suggestions from me for further improvements: even though I’m of an average height, I found the twin bed to be a tad too small (my feet went beyond the edge). I also think that smart tv in every room should be a standard nowadays, especially if this hotel is marketing itself to be family friendly. Please also check that the room amenities are in good condition (the shower tap in my room was broken), and lastly, while the breakfast is pretty good, I think the varieties could be extended more (e.g. Indomie bar, made-to-order food/drink bar)

We decided to stay at Kenran for 1 night after reading a mix of negative and positive reviews about this hotel. Our rooms are very spacious and nice with a lovely jungle view. Our a la carte breakfast was good. The staff are very nice and friendly. Surrounding views were amazing and truly authentic to Ubud nature. For our stay purpose and the price we paid, it's value for money. The hotel should have been rated a 5-star review for our stay if the following did not happen. First, in one of our parents' rooms, one body pillow was very smelly, which indicates it has not been washed or changed from previous guests. This unhygiene is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. Second, on check-out date, we must walk up the 45 degree hill from our room to reception due to all 3 buggy cars running out of battery at 10am !?. Luckily, our old parents were able to use the last battery juice to get to the reception, while half of us weren't. This situation was truly embarrassing for such a hotel to let their guests, especially if they were children and the elderly to walk in an unsafe, wet, slippery, and high slope driveway. Staff was apologetic for the incident, but the situation could have been avoided if they had made sure all buggy cars were fully charged during the night before. We would like to stay at this place if the situations above were addressed properly.

The lovely lady at the reception immediately picked up on my state upon arrival. I appreciated her inquiring about what was wrong and her sympathy. The hotel also offered me complimentary ginger, turmeric, honey & lemon tea several times for the issue with my stomach. I found a gecko in my room. They tried to get it out but failed. They instead upgraded my room and moved me to a gecko free room. I really appreciated that gesture. The spa was equally amazing. I was met with friendly smiling staff all day long around the hotel.
