Quite a basic hotel. We chose based on location and for that it was perfect. In the heart of the main square, walking distance to bars and restaurants and the Menin Gate. Breakfast was ok (bacon, eggs and continental) and beds comfortable. Sounds a bit picky but there’s a weird unpleasant smell and mentioning here, so the management might change it as I think it’s from the cleaning which is done. Wouldn’t stay again as it is a bit too basic.

Have looked at this several times prior to booking. As I was taking a couple for their first visit I thought after looking at the hotel pictures the rooms has views of the cloth hall. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case, if you look closely at some of the pictures further down there are rooms with a solid wall and small window (view facing a wall) the room is so small the bathroom door only half opens before hitting the bed. It was ok for one night as only sleeping and showering. Breakfast had a nice selection.

Stayed for one night only having stayed previously before revamp. This time we had a room overlooking the fire escape, which was cramped unlike before. Had to wait for breakfast to be replenished by a quite "cold" manager / manageress, infact the only smile we had was from the cleaning lady...thankyou. We will not be returning.

We were grateful for this lovely clean, comfortable hotel after a long drive. The breakfast was more than sufficient, with good coffee. Our room was spacious for the 4 of us, the kids had their own room, which was amazing after our journey for everyone to have a bit of space.

Overpriced but the shortage of accommodation in Ypres means they get away with it. The woman (? owner) who sits at reception and is in the breakfast room has no personality and didn’t even greet us at breakfast. The towels are a disgrace and should be thrown out, I wouldn’t use them to wash the floor, they are patched or torn. The lighting in the hall is not on permanently it has a sensor and doesn’t come on immediately so it’s dangerous.

Great position for the ceremony as the ( Menin ) gate a short walk away, also my favourite bar/restaurant Les Halles 4 doors away 😋. Rooms spotless and breakfast plentiful for continental. Staff very friendly as always. Situated opposite the cathedral so with rooms facing it makes for a great view, likewise all amenities are right on the doorstep.

Have stayed here before a few years ago, it has been revamped and I was really impressed. Rooms were really nice, bed was so comfy shower was great. The rooms were really clean and the breakfast was really good. The location is brilliant we found parking about 10 minutes walk away but you can park out the front for 30 minutes so plenty of time to unload the car.

Pleasant enough staff. Lift. Terrible view over rooftops. Bed comfy. Shower good. Open window resulted in aircon noise all night. If we had closed it would have been the same inside so no win whatever we chose. Breakfast included and very good. Very well located right on the square.

This was a really pleasant stay. Excellent location, really comfy bed, good customer service. No parking on site but there is public pay parking (not from Fri 10 til sat late due to market though) on the square opposite. You can use an app called easy park for this. A smallish outfit but professionally done. It is a smart and clean room with gorgeous bathroom (even for budget rooms like us at the back). No real view out of the window, you pay the big money for that but we didn't care. Breakfast was continental with some hot (sausage, bacon, egg, tomato, mushroom), all buffet. A nice variety. Don't forget to go and see the last post at the Menin gate at 8pm daily!
