Medplaya Hotel Regente

The hotel is well placed for the Benidorm palace and the beach. The hotel has good facilities . There is a good choice for breakfast. There was entertainment in the evening. Although it is only about 100m form the road it is very quiet.

Very pleasant man on the reception when we checked in. Hotel had parking and was clean and perfect for our 1 night stay. I had the unfortunate mishap of being robbed on my way back to the hotel and the night staff were very helpful. They called the police for me and helped find telephone numbers to cancel my bank cards. Will definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Benidorm.

We booked 4 nights via easyJet holidays. 1hr 20 transfer from Alicante, 15-20 min stroll to the beach. We had 2 rooms(1 double & single each). Hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. The food was good and restaurant staff extremely hard working. The evening entertainment was good enough. Have zero complaints about our experience and would definitely consider staying there again.

3rd stay here, hotel is good, but we noticed a few little things that have changed, especially in the restaurant. The staff work very hard, but there just doesn't seem to be enough of them to do everything they need in the dining room. Food is fine, you can always find something to eat, a couple of of points that need to be addressed, are that the eggs go cold very quickly due to plates being cold at breakfast, when you enter dining room to give your room number, the staff member can often be seen running around cleaning tables as well as trying to greet guests in, we received drinks service to our table for the 1st couple of nights, but after that you had to go to the dining room bar to get your own. They ran out of bottled water, then put the price up for water from the dispenser. These things are mandatory for a 4 star hotel, this is not a complaint about the the dining staff, you just need to employ more, instead of cutbacks.Bar staff are wonderful, all pleasant and hardworking, made to feel very welcome, I will not single out any one in particular, they are all lovely. Then we come to the entertainment, Nacio the entertainment organiser is amazing, always trying to make sure everyone is having a fabulous holiday. Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, cleaned every day. Overall review, we will return again, made to feel welcome and looked after. Hopefully small improvements will be met. Came down with sickness and diarrhoea bug on day 2 of my holiday. Never known sickness like it. Absolutely ruined my holiday. Only managed to sit at pool and go out on last day of holiday. Maid was kind enough to change our bedding when we asked so thank you. Room is small with no drawers. Shower is great. Can't comment on food as only ate on day 1. Had a few cereal breakfasts later in week. Cannot adjust sunbeds. Staff are friendly though was over charged for bottles of water at the bar by some staff. Spent most of holiday in room or on balcony. We were above main entrance and cannot say noise was any problem at all. I know this bug is not solely at this hotel. Been home a few days and still ill. It's very unfortunate 😕

There was 7adults and 3 children and we all came down with sickness and diarrhoea for most of the holiday. I've never experienced anything like it, holiday was ruined and staff were very unapproachable especially the ignorant man on reception. My husband went to cleaners cart to get some toilet paper and she came running down corridor shouting. Room was not clean needs attention to detail cleanliness was a disgrace. Had to buy a couple of mugs couldn't drink from the dirty one's left in room . I've been going to benidorm for over 30 years a d never experienced a hotel like that one.🤮🤮
