"This has got to be hands down the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune of staying at. Its a loud party hotel designed for teens to get drunk and fight. On 3 occasions we seen staff break up fights in the bar area and one man was beating another with one of the snooker ques. The food is awful and a member of our family suffered badly with bed bug bites. The lifts were always broken meaning we had to carry everything up 7 flights of stairs. Please please don't book this hotel."

"Arrived and checked in with no problem the rooms are basic but adequate for our needs bare in mind this is a Budget appointment!! We had access to the pool every day with no fighting for sun beds we found it a little to far out for us as it's a good half hour walk fori to the old town and an hour to the New town. For us in our 60s Taxi back was around €14 got a little expensive by the end of the holiday. Hotel reception were very helpful in lots of ways € 200 deposit but was never actually taken off my card only if you break something or cause problems but thats the norm in lots of places now all in if you love laying in the sun all day either bat the pool or the gorgeous beech and a nice meal at night you've cracked it here !!!"

"I expected better for a 4-star hotel. The room was cramped for us and our teenager. Full board included food that was more like a school cafeteria, with all the noise from the retirees talking very loudly during meals. The staff service was perfect, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Ruben at reception was very pleasant and professional. The cleaning staff was excellent."

"Hotel Iris Benidorm Lovely quiet hotel 1048490528 Booked this hotel for 5 nights over Christmas because I like the area,I was not sure what to except after I read the reviews I was greeted by brother and sister who run it and a younger sister who was visiting , I checked in and paid a 50€ deposit which surprised me as I’m in my 60’s I was told a few rules but when I thought about them they are not rules really only what you would expect in your own home my case was taken to my room which was basic but had all you needed for a comfortable stay,I didn’t need my room made up every day, there is a a key for room which you leave at reception it did not matter what time I came back or went out there was always someone there to chat and make sure everything was ok I came back early ish a couple of nights where you can get a drink in the residents bar where there was another person on their own so I sat and chatted for a while along with the owners which was nice I think they should make it a public bar I will be calling in next time I’m in Benidorm hopefully for a drink, don’t hesitate to book this hotel there was no problem getting my deposit back and they said they didn’t need to check my room."

"Nice apartment, very clean but a bit dated. It was very well equipped with a washing machine. The beds were comfy. Located in quite a noisy part of town, and if you’re a light steeper or had young children you could struggle to get to sleep as the noise did carry. Aircon was only in the lounge, ceiling fan in the bedroom. Full size oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and pod coffee machine. Secured gated entry and only accessible via entry card. Be aware that there is no maid service. But overall it was a good place. And would stay there again"

"The hotel’s location is great, and the room is quite comfortable. However, upon checking in, I was assigned a room with a malfunctioning air conditioning unit. I promptly requested maintenance, but they didn’t send a technician. After multiple calls to the receptionist, they finally agreed to change my room, but their attitude was quite unpleasant. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options."

"Wow! What a fabulous hotel. Arrived half 10 in the morning sat in the sunshine for an hour whilst they got our room ready. The hotel front bar is a fantastic sun trap, much so that other people come and drink there with great music playing in The background. Hubby and I like the buckets of corona to share 10 euros for five cold bottles with slice of lime lovely ! Next the food , probably the best food we have ever had in the whole of Benidorm and we have been here loads of times, the roast beef and yorkshires were amazing , salads lovely show cooking fab ! I don’t eat desserts but my hubby said they were great ! Lovely restaurant proper table clothes napkins adults only hotel so lovely and relaxing to dine . The best were the staff they could see one day I needed a knife I didnt even have to ask they gave me a knife and a napkin they were so attentive. My hubby and I said the staff were like a family so happy and respectful to us especially the lovely waiter Eyler , he knew I was trying to learn Spanish and he helped me by speaking in simple sentences in Spanish and telling me what they meant . He was so lovely and funny and very very pleasant . Room was spotless, beds comfy , great walk in rain shower very powerful, missing it already. We stayed in room 307 our maid was lovely she always waited for us to come out to clean, was never knocking the door cleaned every day , clean towels every day too . Food was so good we only ate out once an that was at the Indian restaurant Kathmandu which was very nice . Also watched greatest showman at the Philippines club underneath the Presidente hotel which is just around the corner. Saw the Beatles tribute at the palladium they were great ! Location of this hotel is great. Central to Morgan’s and the ambassador hotel. But don’t need to move really as they have their own wonderful relaxing entertainment club downstairs ,which in my opinion is better than anywhere else . Get waited on and watch act after act its a great room. Great atmosphere and great acts. So basically this hotel has everything . Plenty of live entertainment everywhere. We can’t wait to return to the riviera beach big shout to your fab staff at this great hotel missing you already !"

"We were looking forward to a well earned break at a beautiful hotel, having stayed at previous Meliá properties the expectations were high but this fell seriously short. The positives! The Botanic buffet restaurant at the Level had some great food. Restaurant Lima was very good. A handful of staff have great service such as Ximo, Jeyson and Miguel, all from Papamambo. The not so good! We had booked an all inclusive premium room through Jet 2. On arrival after pulling your cases across cobbled paving you find reception closed and to go to the Level reception. We arrived there and were told, we don't have any premium rooms available, you have been upgraded to a junior suite. Great we thought, until we saw the room. Dark, dingy, grass bank infront of us, definitely not an upgrade. Back to reception wanting the room we had booked and paid for. We can show you two more junior suites, one with a sea view! Both were better, one with a large terrace - SO WHY WERE WE NOT SHOWN THESE WHEN WE FIRST CHECKED IN?? By the morning we needed to change rooms due to the smell, a drainage or sewer smell, not very pleasant. We enquired about upgrading to the Level and were told that only the Royal Suite was available. We don't have all inclusive in the Level but you can keep it on this occasion. Great we had paid for this anyway! We would receive a phone call shortly to view the room. Waited and waited, went to reception - did no one call you? NO. Room looks very large and spacious with two balconies, one with sun most of the day. We paid the difference and took the room. Initial thoughts were wow, large lounge area, large bedroom, walk in wardrobe, separate toilet and large bathroom. Dig deeper and there are loads of issues. For a Royal Suite, their second best room, you would expect it to be faultless. Very, very dated not touched in the 20 years the hotel has been open. Door architrave falling off or buckling, lights hanging down, plug sockets not fitting properly, the terrace doors not closing fully and loose cord tiles on the balcony floor - actually dangerous. When you then look further at the Level, the 5* part, it is also very run down. The pool surround flooring has a lot of missing stones, walls have food splatterings on them and when we turned up for breakfast the griddle at the omlete and egg station still had the residue from the previous night meat on it, it has not been cleaned properly. The tables in the square were the entertainment was held, had but had the tables wiped in days. We used a wet wipe from the restaurant to wipe the table and it was black after. Staff, other than those mentioned were not great in their service to down right rude not just to us but also other guests. Presently it is school holidays in Spain and the hotel was about 90% Spanish. The service is definitely better and quicker if you are Spanish. "I had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I asked for a room with a sea view, and they kindly upgraded me to a room on the 35th floor with a stunning panoramic view of both the sea and the entire city. During a city-wide power outage that lasted the whole day, the hotel continued to operate as usual with full electricity, while other hotels were left completely in the dark. I was truly impressed and very satisfied with my stay!"

"This little hotel is in the heart of the old town which is very beautiful. Small and friendly with none of your usual benidorm holiday makers .we stayed in April and found no street noise at night . The staff are so helpful and polite and can not do enough for you .This hotel is spotlessly clean they changed our towels and bedding every day, and the beds OMG they are so big and comfy id of loved to take mine home . We had room 407 with a terrace and could hear and see the sea it was so calming and peaceful. Excellent stay , Excellent staff, Excellent location, Excellent hotel would highly recommend. "We stayed at this beautiful hotel over the weekend for my nieces hen. The rooms were lovely, clean and cool. I had a city view room which was a bit smaller but didnt spend a lot of time in there so not a problem. The pool/bar area was outstanding. The staff were a delight and couldn't help enough. We were able to book a late check out at short notice which was much appreciated Our booking came with breakfast which was varied and plentiful. The omelette station was delicious!! Thank you for a very memorable stay - will definitely be returning for a longer stay"

"Everything is great in the hotel, including the road to the beach, and for me it is the best in Benidorm. The beach is 2 minutes away. Clean, cozy, modern, shower gel, shampoo and hand gel - Dove, not from the same can) A simple good breakfast, the ability to take a shower after check-out, they even give you a towel. The room is small, but this is enough for a stay at the sea. The only negative is that the water in the shower drained very slowly and poorly. For this, the rating is 4 for convenience. And the second point, rather Trip.com. It says that there is a sea view, but there was none, no matter how hard you try. And the employee told me that they do not have single rooms with a view of the water, only large rooms. I ask Trip.com to correct this in their description, this is not true, the view is of the street on the neighboring house. It is normal, you just need to write as is and maybe for someone it is important."
