"Although this is possibly the most beautiful hotel I have seen with beautiful bedrooms, pools, food & charming staff there is one thing I cannot fathom. Why is there no music in the evening ? Every night I had to leave the hotel after dinner (when I didn't want to leave the hotel) to find some entertainment. I know the ethos is zen but if children screaming can pierce the tranquility then surely a classy singer in a corner of the site would only enhance the stay. Also the hotel shut for a conference while I was there cutting our trip short, very frustrating. That said an almost perfect hotel let down by the dull evenings where only one bar on the massive site opened & no music/ents were an option"

"Hotel room was basic but spotless, the aircon was excellent and left on all day for us, room cleaned everyday with fresh towels. All staff were helpful and pleasant called us taxis whenever we needed them and they were there within minutes. Big chest freezer full of ice bags perfect for balcony drinks the lady even gave us glasses and straws to take up. Location was perfect out of the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of everything. We were 2 girls celebrating my birthday. Walk to the beach just down the hill, lots of shops across the road and a proper super market. The centre of the old town is about a 10 min walk and into new town I’d say 20. We walked to the strip on our last night and glad we did lots of lovely cocktail bars on the way. Would recommend and stay here again."

They gave me a number to contact people who could resolve it, but they didn't answer the phone. They gave me another number, and it belonged to a private individual. They were very unhelpful and unsympathetic, since as the hotel where I booked, they should have a way to contact people to resolve these problems and not wash their hands of them so easily."

"Terrible stay. The noise levels were impossible to cope with. Fully aware it was new years eve but when the hotel bar is blasting music outside at 3 o'clock in the afternoon with obviously no consideration for the rooms directly above. The only reaction from reception was a shrug of the shoulders. Late night revellers is one thing but this establishment needs to decide whether they are actually a hotel or disco tech. We left a day early."

"I had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I asked for a room with a sea view, and they kindly upgraded me to a room on the 35th floor with a stunning panoramic view of both the sea and the entire city. During a city-wide power outage that lasted the whole day, the hotel continued to operate as usual with full electricity, while other hotels were left completely in the dark. I was truly impressed and very satisfied with my stay!"

"Firstly I would say the positive of this place and that is the manager Miguel in any place I’ve stayed he is one of the nicest guys ever and could not do enough for us really really nice guy. Now a honest review. This place is really a Hostel it’s very dirty we ended up with bunk beds had to ask for toilet roll no clean towels air conditioning was broken however they did give us a unit which was no trouble for them! Bathroom was disgusting no little shower gels or little touches windows were so dirty you could hardly see out of them! Hubby found a cardigan under bed which wasn’t ours which means room wasn’t cleaned properly after last guests. I am no way stuck up but general expectation of cleanliness is expected. Music around the pool was amazing but pool I don’t think was cleaned as water level reduces by the day god knows what ends up in there honestly! We were given the extension of the room free by the lovely Miguel however received a lovely 7am wake up call to check out after a late last night can say hubby was not happy. Drinks are expensive in the bar pizza was nice this about 11 euros for a small pizza not cheap but thankfully edible. Would I return - not even if it was free think I should have been paid it is right what they say you pay for what you get it was cheap and I stayed cheap. Hotel is on a great hill tiles walking down are lethal my knee will tell you"

"I stayed here with my partner for three nights at the end of May. The entire resort is stunning, beautiful grounds, beautiful views and every area is spotlessly clean. The staff work hard to maintain this. The level lounge is great for drinks and snacks. The rooms are gorgeous, very comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. The room was advertised as having views of the Mediterranean however I had views of trees only which was very disappointing (photograph attached). I found the entire layout of the resort to be quite strange. If sitting at the main level pool, there was nowhere to order a drink to enjoy on your sun lounger. The only option would be to go up to the level lounge in the main lobby to have a drink which you were not allowed to take out of the lounge. There was no other bar open to serve cocktails or soft drinks beside the pool which I have never experienced before at any resort. My partner and I were full board and found the breakfast and dinner to be below the standard expected. Food was frequently cold with not too much choice at the buffet. We had lunch every day in Papamambos which was absolutely delicious. The queues at reception were ridiculously long at all times of day and night and the check in process seemed to be unnecessarily long so o think this could also do with improvements. Overall, the hotel grounds are stunning but due to the lack of options to enjoy a drink by the pool and the quality of the food, I would t return."

"The location was excellent for me. The dining room... we were on full board. It was an absolute disgrace from beginning to end. It's tiny, the tables are incredibly close together, and it's ridiculously difficult to get to the buffet and back to your assigned table. I think all the guests who had booked a special meal plan have never apologized as many times in their entire lives as they did there in just one day. Because you're literally constantly bumping into people, whether you're sitting down or getting up to get something from the buffet. The dining room was disgustingly clean; not picking anything up is a real miracle. You eat under immense stress. And if you want to eat (what food... that's another story... going to the burger place on any corner is even better)... going at 1:00 or 1:30 pm and dinner at 8:00 or 8:30 pm... is a real nightmare. It's truly the worst I've ever seen in terms of dining room, dining room staff, and food. And I'm not picky at all. If I were to return to that place...which is not going to be the case, it would only be as accommodation."

"Came as a group of 8 to Benidorm for a couple of days and booked into the Hotel Olympus for my 50th. What can I say, whoever has given bad reviews to this hotel is obviously annoyed with life in general. I was apprehensive staying as the reviews were quite worrying but I needn’t have bothered. I often find that some people are never pleased, in any situation. The hotel is lovely and the staff on reception, even better. So helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Henal. She was professional, helpful and always cheerful and happy. There was another guy on reception with glasses that was also really helpful but I didn’t get his name. Breakfast was plentiful with loads of variety something to suit all. Beds lovely, firm and comfortable. Hotel was clean and rooms spotless. They organised to have a bottle of fizz in the room for my birthday and helped my friends organise balloons. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. 10/10!! Thank you."

"This stay completely ruined our holiday. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was in an appalling state. There was absolutely no heating, and the room was freezing cold day and night. When we tried to raise the issue, the staff were rude, unhelpful and showed zero concern for our comfort or wellbeing. On top of that, the balcony doors didn’t even lock properly and kept opening on their own, which made us feel unsafe for the entire stay. We also couldn’t use the water properly on the first day, so even basic necessities weren’t available. The accommodation itself was filthy, with cockroaches actually running around the bedroom – completely unacceptable and a major hygiene concern. The whole place felt neglected and uncared for. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into a stressful and miserable experience. We spent our time dealing with problems instead of enjoying our break. I would never stay here again and I strongly warn others to avoid this place."

"I stayed in the Level in a grand suite. Room was amazing ,views lovely and heated pool perfect ! Colleagues are super nice and helpful . What has disappointed myself is initial response to ants in my room , on bed and along walls eventually it was dealt with however I did have to chase . No ants since it was resolved which is great. Service in the Level lounge is inconsistent not sure it is good value for money . I highlighted that evening tapas run out quickly this happened every evening even after raising it with a manager . Today no cheese as I was told they didnt have any however I have just been given a plate of cheese from the lovely lady in the lounge . The colleagues are doing their best , maybe the senior managers need to review the processes to support them ? Also I was told it is out of season however that should not impact your experience and is not an acceptable reason for a reduced experience for guests . I am returning next weekend with my grandsons as the resort is amazing in terms of location and facilities hopefully I will have an improved experience ! Thank you to all the super lovely colleagues who have helped its much appreciated xx"

"Returning guests having found the hotel ideal for our needs . Yes it’s very Spanish Oriented and yes it’s largely visited by the over 50 age group . (I don’t think that’s a bad mixture given you know what to expect at that age. ) I have yet to come across any miserable staff, Only friendly ones who I would imagine deal with the odd miserable guests. The Hotel has good size rooms that are clean and spacious . Location is perfectly situated on the border of Old Benidorm . So if you want to just relax or alternatively venture out to sample the sights and lights It’s an easy 10mins walk either way to be in the centre of bright light city or old town tapas . Hotel food is of a descent quality & varied with lovely fresh fish served daily. The Soup is not the best with room for improvement. At peak times the restaurant can be very noisy but there’s never any long wait times for anything , the staff do a tremendous job looking after the guests when the pressure is on so I will be returning.😄"

"Was at the time they cheapest hotel in Benidorm. It cost 8 EUR to get into town by taxi so if you are looking at cost,, cost that in. Its above the Benidorm bus station so good for the bus back to Alicante 8EUR Rooms are clean, good AC, no food gym was a box tick, the pool was OK, but had the greasy brigade on the sun loungers...... You've above the bus station FFS!"

"Visually stunning, superb rooms and dining facilities. Somewhat mystified by lack of amenities though. No Hair Salon, no on site shop and no evening entertainment at all. Navigating around the different blocks and many pathways took a little getting used to and the signage was a little vague. Would return but only for a complete disconnect which I guess supports the very Peaceful Zen vibe."

"Absolutely awful experience at Sol Pelicanos Ocas, Benidorm. I was travelling on my own and had originally booked a family room, but asked to downgrade, fully understanding I wouldn’t receive any money back. What I was given was terrible. The room was in a poor state — just one plug socket, three beds squeezed in with a cot, and barely a proper window. It felt more like a storage room than a hotel room. The air conditioning didn’t work, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. On top of that, there were groups of people drinking and making noise around 4am, so getting any sleep was impossible. When I went to reception, the girl on the desk was polite and helpful, but the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional when he came over. You’d expect much better from someone in that position. Most of the staff seemed miserable, which says a lot about the management. I would rate this hotel as 2-star at best. The rooms are very basic, and based on my experience, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again — and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, whether travelling alone or with family. If you’re after a quiet, decent place to stay, avoid. If you want a noisy party hotel, then this might suit you."

"It’s basically a stag and hen party hotel - very basic with virtually no facilities. I came on a stag party and the room allocation was pure chaos. Some rooms had 5 people some had just two - it all went wrong! The room I was in was full of very small ants and I got a massive bite on my head from some creature! And no it wasn’t one of the other guys! The bathroom floor was always wet because the shower didn’t drain properly because the floor was too flat. The bar staff were nice people, hardly saw anybody else. It was ok for a stag in a good location but there is no way I could stay here for more than 2 nights that was my limit here. Rooms were quiet - could not hear the other rooms inhabitants. Not sure how this is a 4 Star it felt more like a hostel and of course no balconies. It wasn’t cheap either, not good value for money. It’s on a hill too so for people who would struggle with the walk we named “Angina Hill” I would choose somewhere flat!"

"I have stayed here previously on numerous occasions I always book The Level for the comfort of the Level lounge on my last visit we noticed that it is now open to families with very young children and they have completely taken over the Lounge, instead of a cool, calm ambience it has become a children's playground, the floor was dirty with spilt food and drinks, the seats were wet through and at certain times of day there was not enough seats to sit on, needless to day I won't be returning"

"Hotel in a quiet area 800 meters from the sea, large room, but needs renovation, it only has a small window that only opens half and overlooks a very small tube gallery. The guests generally complained of excessive heat since the air conditioning did not work The bathroom was very old and the bathtub was very high The elevators frequently broke down and you had to wait in lines The food was very fair, the salads were good, little variation, but it is acceptable The best was the animation, very interesting and the entertainer Ángel gave dance classes every afternoon, and entertained the nights"
