Hotel Spa di Shanghai

The hotel receptionist and online agents are not very helpful.. also the laundry provided are limited with only 4 dryers and 4 washing machines shared with all hotel tenants. And you had to wait for hours until your turn. Also, the hotel had 3 scheduled electricity cut off during our two nights stay in the midnight. Cleaners also entered our room when we are still sleeping. Overall the stay was not bad but there are much more to improve on.

Hotel comes with a good view of Shanghai skyline, room is very clean with daily housekeeping, friendly and supportive staffs. Reasonable price, good location - walkable to the Bund and Nanjing east station. Only one small minor point is the aircon system - heater working very good, even though we have tried to adjust the temperature down, but it was still too warm inside the room.

Hotel location is the best of best. Bus stop is just in front of the hotel gate and visitors spots are very near, we satisfied with environment. All staff are so kind even they used translation apps to communicate with non-chinese speakers. One thing that we can't say excellent is weak cigarette smell is really faint whole room. I guess it's coming by bathroom ventilation.. however if we have another chance to visit Shanghai, we will book this hotel again!

Front Office Service was great! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile and promptly checked us in. They were very attentive to our needs, providing useful information about the hotel facilities and local attractions. Love this hotel! We are from Malaysia and did DIY travel ourselves. Free and easy. This hotel location is 100% perfect - just across the metro station (Laoximen) and walk up 800m you will find a mosque (for muslims). So halal food is also nearby. If you are up to people watching, walk up further you can find Yuyuan Garden! This hotel is the perfect location for us! The check in staff, despite not speaking English well were great and Yi Mo and friends definitely tried very best to make our stay enjoyable. Kudos Demores Hotel. Will recommend you guys definitely!

The hotel and service are top-notch; the only disappointment was that the lounge closed early, by 10 p.m., so it was difficult to have meetings until late. Besides that, I prefer to rotate the breakfast menu instead of the same daily menu.

My friends in China recommended this hotel and told me that she loves it because it’s relatively inexpensive compared to similar hotels in the area. She also stressed that it is a native Chinese brand hotel that it is easier for her to order food and just anything she needs. I was pleasantly surprised by its decor, service, cleanliness and modern amenities. Our room had a nice big tub, huge shower and toilet with bidet. It’s been a while since I visited Japan and I forgot how nice to have a bidet. The breakfast was a nice addition to our stay since it is included. It served both Chinese and American breakfast with some nice local dishes. The decor is modern Chinese Jiangnan style featuring paintings, Calligraphy, and 3-D animation of gold fishes. I enjoyed working out at the gym as well. Super clean and all equipment are easy to use. There is a Pilate room as well. I didn’t have time to enjoy it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Not to mention that I asked for a power cord, it was delivered by a robot. Five star experience! .

Was okay, nothing special. I did appreciate they served noddles until 12am as I got in quite late from my flight. Also, the reception was polite and patient with my requests on getting my delivery packages. The place was clean and livable, but nothing luxurous or fancy. It is fine if you just need a place to stay at Shanghai city center but don't have huge expectations.

The room is big and spacious, but the bathroom is a little tiny. Can’t change clothes inside the bathroom after shower. It is located almost a km from the nearest subway station but still walkable. Breakfast is provided for all guests, food generally quite good. One complaint is the breakfast ends at 9.30am, which is really too early for travellers who want to relax and enjoy their sleep. If can extend it to 10.30am or even 10am, it would be great.
