Salt @ South West Rocks

So lovely to stay at Salt. Lovely view from our cabin. Everything we needed. Clean and comfortable. Will stay there again!! Enjoyed the complimentary use of the bicycles that we rode up the breakwall.

Liked the accommodation and the location the staff were very helpful and friendly 😀 👍 looking forward going next year it was very peaceful and like the nature around us 😀 I would recommend the location the accommodation was clean

We were totally impressed by the beautiful villa at Salt. From the moment you open the door, you can tell these villas are very well cared for. The location is also fantastic, opposite the river and surrounded by wildlife. My only wish is that there were 2 bed/2 bathroom villas but that’s a minor gripe. Great place to stay to break up the trip north from Sydney.

We couldn’t have wished for better accommodation on our family holiday and our first trip to South West Rocks. Everything was so aesthetically calming, we have never stayed in such a truely beautiful place. The villas have so much space, and have absolutely everything you will need. The pool and pool area were so beautiful and our eldest son loved hanging out there the most, especially in the afternoons checking out all the kangaroos having an afternoon feed just outside of the pool fence. The beds were super comfy, I think we all agreed it was the best nights sleep we have had ever on a weekend away. We will definitely be back, especially and more specifically because of the beautiful customer service we received. Such a credit to you guys, for having such a truely beautiful space.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights to break up our road trip back from Byron to Sydney. I cannot recommend Salt highly enough. The apar**ent was lovely, beautifully furnished and very well equipped with everything you could need. The sofa and the bed were extremely comfortable and the location is wonderful with views from the deck straight onto the river with beautiful sunsets on both nights,. The grounds are lovely and the visiting kangaroos were an added bonus. The site is very quiet and peaceful despite being near the Riverside Inn. Our stay here exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again.

We love SWR and have stayed with salt last summer and had a lovley experience. The friendliness from Gail was appreciated. However this time we were really disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. When we arrived the floor was covered in long hair and sand inside the unit. We informed the owners who kindly cleaned the floor. The dishwasher was full of rotten food. The washing machine and drier was full of sand from previous guests. All our washing was full of sand from the dirty appliances meaning my husband had to clean both appliances before use. The outdoor furniture was dirty and there was food left on the floor from the previous guests on the outdoor area floor under the table. The door handle to the Villa was broken and there was a smeared bug on the wall in the hallway entry. The pool area wasn’t cleaned well or at all during our stay, the floor and outdoor table was dirty and so was the pool fencing. We were really disappointed and unfortunately it created so much additional cleaning that we were hoping to avoid on holidays- and for the money we spent it should have at least been clean.

We loved our 2 bedroom villa overlooking the water. It was a lovely spot to spend a night even when the cold wind and constant drizzle kept us from making the most of the spot. I wish I had brought my swimmers to try out the heated magnesium pool. It looked very tempting. A short stroll to the tavern next door under the brolly ensured a tasty pub meal before a good night’s sleep in the very comfy beds. My mother insists it was the best night’s sleep she has had in months. Overall a great place to stay that could be even better with a few additions which I would expect for the price - somewhere to hang the hand towel in the bathroom as well as a few extra hooks or another towel rail, bath sheets instead of the small towels supplied, shower caps (like a good hotel), a door mat so you don’t traipse dirt into the beautifully styled villa and finally an outdoor heater so the deck can be enjoyed even in winter while you take in the view.
