The staff was friendly and overall attentive. The property is located in a safe area. The property requires touch ups and cleanliness should be increased. I went to 3 different hotel rooms & the showers in each room had visible mold. The food was not good. All meats (steak, fish, and chicken) were overcooked. We realized this is because meat is cooked and then re-heated so it doesn’t taste. Apart from this, there was not much authentic culture rich foods on property. The food was mediocre at best. The pillows were firm and not very comfortable linens. Also the air conditioning wasn’t working properly during two nights so we needed a technician to come at 3am to help fix the issue, which wasn’t really fixed. We resorted to turning on the air ceiling fan. I would not return to this property again.

We had a great stay at Ambar. We spent lots of time by the beautiful pool and the Entertainment staff were fabulous! (Madeline, King Kong, and Julio)…we had wonderful food and especially enjoyed MEAT and the bartenders at Limbo. Ricardo and Emmanuel made great drinks and put on a little show! It was a great time all around!

first night we did not get the room we payed for which was a Jr. suite with walk up pool. They gave us discounts at shops and spas but we did not use them. The staff were wonderful throughout the whole stay. Absolutely beautiful Resort. We will definately be back!!

Service from employees over the top , We flew done for a quick 5 days over Valentines and weather was great, food great, room and entire hotel was so clean unlike some others in Cancun. I would suggest this in place of Mexico anytime

Entertainment was lackluster. Not much to do without leaving resort. Brought our own salsa and creamer because the food isnt very impressive for what you would expect. Had a great butler, which helped a bit. Staff friendly. Beautiful ocean, water stunning. But it is rocky so not fun to swim in. Limbo has amazing bartenders! Went 2nd time just for Emmanuel at Limbo.
