Old Pier House

Terrible experience. Owner was outraged I turned up by bicycle. Very hostile and unwelcoming. No secure parking outside and wouldn’t let me bring bike in. I forfeited my fee and went somewhere else rather than risk losing my bike. (Had two pinched in the same area over the last ten years)

In an excellent location with a short walk to Plymouth Hoe the Old Pier House is a great place to stay. Wendy the landlady was Incredible. She was so welcoming and accommodating we were put at ease straightaway. The room was comfortable with a nice modern bathroom, good shower and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent with cereal, juices and fruit to complement a full English, vegetarian and egg on toast options.. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend a stay at Old Pier House if you need accommodation in Plymouth.

Wendy was one of the nicest landladies we've met for many a year. The breakfast was nearly as good as she was as well.

I didn't dislike any aspect of the property, the host Wendy was absolutely fantastic, would happily recommend the property to anybody and if visiting Plymouth again will look for any vacancies here

Booked overnight stay as close to Plymouth pavilions and me were going to see loose women live tour, place was perfect for what we needed! 🥰 Lovely comfortable a**osphere, owner very welcoming. Rooms clean and with everything needed I.e towels, tea coffee facilities hairdryer shower and toiletries. Breakfast is all cooked fresh and was lovely including choice of cereals yoghurts fruits etc. would definitely book to stay again when going out In Plymouth for the evening 😍 Thank you Wendy for a lovely breakfast and overnight stay ☺️☺️

Amazing value for money.The lady is lovely and makes you feel so welcome.Rooms comfortable with everything you need.Breakfast is a choice and the best .I would highly recommend this place.The hoe and barbacan within walking distance.

Fabulously comfortable bed, Wendy was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Decor a little dated but had that old worldly charm and was spotlessly clean. Within walking distance to town centre and seafront and a very reasonably priced car park just around the corner.

If you're looking for a value for money stay in Plymouth then this is the place. Do not stay here if you're expecting the Ritz! However. Do stay here if you want value for money & the biggest & best breakfast you could ever get. Wendy, the owner runs this place practically single handed, including cooking your breakfast to order. The rooms are a bit dated but cosy & spotlessly clean. It's location is a 20 miute stroll to the barbican & just a stones throw from the waterfront with several bars & restaurants. A big thank you to Wendy for her hospitality & we can't wait to return.
