The boss was very enthusiastic and changed the room to a room with a view of the snow-capped mountains
Facilities: It should be a newly built hotel, with smart whole house, new furniture, and oxygen floor heating.
Sanitation: Clean and tidy, very good
Environment: You can see the snow-capped mountains directly, and you can also see the golden mountain in the sun from the roof. There is a small balcony where you can drink tea and watch the snow-capped mountains
Service: The boss was very enthusiastic and changed the room to a room with a view of the snow-capped mountains, and sent hot milk in the evening.

This was such a lovely hotel! The wooden carving was so beautiful and the rooms were lovely and cosy. We initially booked one of the rooms in the main lobby area and they were fantastic. The shower was hot and dependable and there was a nice view out the window. The price point is also great, as it definitely feels like one of Yubengs higher and hotels in a great location, but without a huge price tag. There are many cool restaurants surrounding the hotel, and in my opinion, lower Yubeng is the better village to stay at, especially if you are trekking in from ninong. For our final night we upgraded to the mountain view suite. Yes, you can see the mountain better but the room is actually worse than the downstairs rooms, as well as being more expensive. I think the downstairs rooms are far superior. The boss was also nice and helpful, as well as going out of her way to lend us hiking gear. Great hotel.

I paid the price difference and upgraded to a view room, where I could quietly admire the roaring Jinsha River from the balcony. You can also taste fruits from Zashijia for free. Although the road in is narrow, there is a unique ******* atmosphere when you enter, and you feel happy. The ceiling lights in the corridors and aisles of the room are voice-activated. They light up at night when there is any movement when you get up or turn over during sleep. It is recommended to switch the lights on and off. The overall experience was great and I will come again if I have the chance.

We stayed at the Wake Up Mountain Hotel in June 2024 for a week. The Hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room environment is very good. It should be the most cost-effective hotel nearby. The facilities are also very new. They helped us upgrade the room for free. The large French window is outside the snow-capped mountains. The hotel has its own courtyard. The hotel staff will have a dinner around the campfire at night. They also enthusiastically invited us to roast the fire together and gave us a few cans of beer. When I checked out, I left something in the room. The staff also helped me take it to Deqin County to mail it. I was very touched! If I come to see the snow-capped mountains next time, I will choose this hotel again. The picture was taken on the terrace on the third floor of this hotel, with the golden mountain and the starry sky in the sun.

When I first arrived, the boss was selling coffee at the door, which was very cool! It's a two-story loft with a very large room. The floor is concrete, so I thought it would be cold, but the room has air conditioning, heater, and electric blanket. It's not cold when sleeping at night. The shower water in the bathroom is very hot. The most important thing is that the location is very good šš» There is an observation deck right outside. There are also two tripods in the room, and Coke and water are free.

The Inn is located at the top of the upper Yubeng village. The good point is that you can have a very good unblock view. The downside for now is that you need to climb up from the lower Yubeng or call a car to send you up. But this will not be an issue after the authority completes road construction from Xidang village.
The Inn has its own resturant. My wife and I enjoy the food they serve. It's really one of the better ones in the village.
Part of the Inn is still under construction. It will become nicer after they complete it.
The room price is on a higher end but we enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserThis room is very large, with windows on both sides, including the toilet and bathroom. You can see Shangyubeng and the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain from the window. Pictures 3 and 4 were taken in the room. Because the room has such a good view, I didn't get up early to get a spot outside to take pictures.
The boss was very enthusiastic. I was exhausted on the first day after entering the village. After showing me the room, he didn't let me go downstairs and helped me carry my luggage upstairs. I am really grateful. When we left, we were given two extra bottles of water and reminded to fill them with hot water. He was a very nice B&B owner. If you need to live in Xiayubeng, you can choose this one!

GGuest UserThe environment of the homestay is very clean. It is the first time I came here. The location is also very good. The car can be driven directly to the door. There is a parking lot. The proprietress is very warm and friendly. The most important thing is that the hotel has breakfast. I asked you what time to get up and make breakfast for you. It was delicious. In the morning, I went to hike Antarctica. It was too comfortable to have a cup of hot milk and some rice noodles. The proprietress also found a guide and carpool. Very reliable, Antarctica is so beautiful! ! ! rush!

And ask the homestay owner to arrange the share van(local people use it) for my back trip.You will feel more comfort for altitude sickness problem here.

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as āMountain Viewā but in fact youāre in a covered area so wonāt really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international travelerās that donāt speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. Weāve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasnāt there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers donāt do a good job when he is not around. The workers didnāt advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at āmeets meili snow mountainā for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didnāt look in good condition and werenāt tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If youāre an international traveller and donāt speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, thereās many more options at āmeets meili snow mountainā.

The room is very clean, spacious, with heated floor, heating mattress, oxygen supply (if needed), furnishing is 5-star quality.
The owner is very helpful giving us accurate info on how to observe Meili Snow Mountain sunrise, and helped to buy the coach bus tickets back to Shangri-la. The restaurant at second floor can observe BaiMa Snow Mountain (sunset) and Meili Snow Mountain (sunrise) if you don't want to go outdoor. Highly recommended for anyone coming to FeiLaiShi.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ļ¼3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThere are more than 10 parking spaces in front of the hotel building. The owner will park for guests personally. The rooms are spacious and bright. The Rizhao Jinshan Observation Deck is less than 100 meters from the window. You can see the whole view of the snow-capped mountains from the room window. The rooftop terrace on the 4th floor of the hotel is the best place to view the Rizhao Jinshan from all directions.

GGuest UserThe cheapest standard room I could find in Yubeng Village, I stayed there for two nights. The location of the inn is right on the halfway up the road to Yubeng, and you can see the snow-capped mountains directly from the room. The proprietress is very welcoming, the inn has its own restaurant, and the food cooked by the aunt is super delicious.

GGuest UserI saw a recommendation from a review on Xiaohongshu, saying that the view here is particularly good. The first picture is a photo taken by a friend on the balcony. After taking it, he went back to sleep. The second picture is a photo I got up and went to the observation deck to take... If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have gone downstairs. We stayed in Room 202, a view room. The hotel is in the middle of the uphill slope. Itās not a far walk. If you have any luggage, you can ask the boss to help pick it up. There are heating stoves and electric blankets in the hotel. The hardware and hygiene are OK. The hot water is also solar-powered. The water may not be too hot at night, but we didnāt dare to take a shower for fear of altitude sickness. The hotel provides free oxygen and disposable medical respirators. Tube, very clean. The restaurant on the first floor is also very delicious. You can order yak meat and ******* pork barbecue. There is a hidden menu of stir-fried potato pancakes. Friends will still miss them after eating~

GGuest UserI traveled alone and lived in Yubeng for four days, and I especially like this place. Waking up in the arms of Meili Snow Mountain every morning, when I look up at night, the sky is full of stars, I really donāt want to leave here. The owner's family is low-key and quiet, and they are very nice. Their food is authentic, but few people know about it. Eat a bowl of tomato and egg noodles (rice noodles) in the morning and then go to Shenpu, super satisfied~
