I highly recommend this inn. I was exhausted after hiking from Ninong. When I arrived, the owner and the sister of the inn warmly entertained me by warming the fire and serving tea. They also helped me to bring my heavy bag to the room. The view from the inn room is invincible. Every morning when I get up and open the curtains, I can see the golden mountain in the sun. The food in the inn is also super delicious. You can eat authentic Cantonese and Hunan cuisine. My partner had altitude sickness on the last night. The owner cared about providing medicine and hot water in the middle of the night. Thank you very much! Come again next time!

The hotel is at a high point in Feilai Temple. It is relatively simple to drive up, but it will be a bit tired if you walk up. We stayed in the hotel room on the leftmost side of the 4th floor. The room environment and window sill viewing angle are shown in the picture. Overall, it is quite satisfactory. Basically, you can meet the snowy mountains in the room. Kawaborg Peak needs to stand on the side of the balcony to see. Also bad is that the floor has floor heating, but the floor will creak at night because of the heat and cold. Because the hotel elevator is being repaired, the Badger can walk up to the 5th floor, but the front desk has refilled two breakfast coupons.

The Inn is located at the top of the upper Yubeng village. The good point is that you can have a very good unblock view. The downside for now is that you need to climb up from the lower Yubeng or call a car to send you up. But this will not be an issue after the authority completes road construction from Xidang village.
The Inn has its own resturant. My wife and I enjoy the food they serve. It's really one of the better ones in the village.
Part of the Inn is still under construction. It will become nicer after they complete it.
The room price is on a higher end but we enjoyed our stay.

It was beyond my expectation. The room faced the snow-capped mountains and I could lie down and enjoy the view. The room was very spacious and had floor heating throughout the house. It was also equipped with electric blankets and electric heaters. I stayed here for one night before leaving the village and recovered fully before going down the mountain.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and new. It not only has air conditioning but also an electric blanket which is very warm! ! The air conditioner is powered 24 hours a day and has two lines with the room lights.
I have to praise the boss for being very enthusiastic, not to mention helping with small things like carrying our luggage. The restaurant he recommended to us on the first day was very delicious! And they will drive you wherever you want to go. In the morning, they will remind you what time the sun shines on the Golden Mountain and drive you directly to the viewing platform ~ It's great! !

It felt like I was back in my own country. The quilt was a little heavy, but we slept well.
The restaurant downstairs is delicious and suits our taste very well. We ate there for 2 nights in a row and it was raining after we finished eating.
The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the lady boss is very nice. Regarding the Coke I brought, I just asked if I got it here or if I brought it myself. There was no ill intention at all. I thought it was strictly forbidden to bring your own food.
The inn also has 12 cats, which are so cute. They have cat toys and electric blankets, which is really great in the countryside.
Will recommend it to friends who want to live in Shangyubeng

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as “Mountain View” but in fact you’re in a covered area so won’t really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international traveler’s that don’t speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. We’ve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasn’t there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers don’t do a good job when he is not around. The workers didn’t advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at “meets meili snow mountain” for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didn’t look in good condition and weren’t tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If you’re an international traveller and don’t speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, there’s many more options at “meets meili snow mountain”.

AAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!

The people who run the place are very very nice. The lady at breakfast offered me more food several times and was just generally a very good host. They insisted carrying my heavy luggage up the stairs for me. Also, they had a terrace to watch the sunrise from.
I paid about 200RMB for the room and thought it was good value. I'd stay again, if not for the room, then for the people!

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThe cheapest standard room I could find in Yubeng Village, I stayed there for two nights. The location of the inn is right on the halfway up the road to Yubeng, and you can see the snow-capped mountains directly from the room. The proprietress is very welcoming, the inn has its own restaurant, and the food cooked by the aunt is super delicious.

GGuest UserI saw a recommendation from a review on Xiaohongshu, saying that the view here is particularly good. The first picture is a photo taken by a friend on the balcony. After taking it, he went back to sleep. The second picture is a photo I got up and went to the observation deck to take... If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have gone downstairs. We stayed in Room 202, a view room. The hotel is in the middle of the uphill slope. It’s not a far walk. If you have any luggage, you can ask the boss to help pick it up. There are heating stoves and electric blankets in the hotel. The hardware and hygiene are OK. The hot water is also solar-powered. The water may not be too hot at night, but we didn’t dare to take a shower for fear of altitude sickness. The hotel provides free oxygen and disposable medical respirators. Tube, very clean. The restaurant on the first floor is also very delicious. You can order yak meat and ******* pork barbecue. There is a hidden menu of stir-fried potato pancakes. Friends will still miss them after eating~

DDevThis is a hostel setup, in a mountain area of upper Yubeng. Surprisingly well maintained. Bed sheets pillow covers are clean. They ate washed and dried everyday. Plenty of hot water for shower.
The staff are polite and friendly.
There is a little mother dog with her three puppies that lives downstairs. She tries quite hard to protect and feed her puppies just like any other mother would do. I bought boiled eggs and fed her a few times. Please look for her and feed her if you can. She is a good mother dog, she needs god food and energy to take care of her puppies.

GGuest UserI traveled alone and lived in Yubeng for four days, and I especially like this place. Waking up in the arms of Meili Snow Mountain every morning, when I look up at night, the sky is full of stars, I really don’t want to leave here. The owner's family is low-key and quiet, and they are very nice. Their food is authentic, but few people know about it. Eat a bowl of tomato and egg noodles (rice noodles) in the morning and then go to Shenpu, super satisfied~
