We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room and hallway were very clean. The price was very fair. What made us happy was the breakfast on the top floor. The floor rotated while eating. We had a great view of the whole of Kyoto. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto

Location is perfect, within train station. There are 2 locations that connect from the train station to the hotel. Breakfast was very good with wide range of Japanese food unfortunately very limited selection of international food. The view from our room 👍.Overall we have a very comfortable stay.

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory. Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem. Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else

It provided easy access to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, ensuring that I could explore the beauty of Kyoto with utmost convenience. Whether it was the majestic Kinkaku-ji Temple or the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, everything was within reach, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the city's rich heritage. The hotel's architecture and interior design were a true reflection of Kyoto's aesthetic beauty. The moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and harmony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with traditional Japanese elements seamlessly integrated into the contemporary design. It's beautiful hotel which has own shuttle buses to Kyoto station. They pay attention to every detail and every aspect. Service is superb. hotel staffs are very friendly and so polite. They welcome you from the beginning outside hotel. Greeting every time they see you. Shuttle buses drives are extremely helpful and friendly.! Breakfast are always great. Morning chef is amazing and kind. Thank you. And please give my best regards to him. Me and my parents had lovely time during stay. And if not because we booked hotel another week at Osaka, we sure would love to stay another week. My father still talk about the trip at your hotel while we stay at Imperial Hotel Osaka. Hotel was super nice! I loved almost everything. The room was very big for Japanese standards and the staff was very professional and fluent in English. Location couldn’t be better, right next to Kyoto Station and a lot of options for shopping and dining. The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast. They divide it in a western and japanese breakfast. But the western breakfast didn’t really have much western choices. And the coffee was not good. This could be improved. Otherwise it was a perfect stay and I would recommend it. :-)

I booked a premier twin with city view guest room in this Banyee Tree Group Hotel at Kyoto Sanjo district. The hotel location is very good and just slightly off Kyoto City shopping centres within a 5-10 mins walking distance, which is good for my family since we can do some walking exercise and looking for good japanese food everyday when we are going out without wasting time to find transportation and yet there is a sub-way train Sanjo station just right next to the hotel for linking up to other scene spots and even to Osaka and other places as you wish. The quality of hospitality service is good and some staff are hands-on and can communicate via english. The room interior is warm and comfort to my family and I like its comfy bed and sufficient hot-water rain-shower and both my family and myself had a good sleep there. The Wi-Fi speed is acceptable and the room cleaning service is also above average.

Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was ok and they offered both japanese and continental options. The standard rooms on the 2nd floor had no view as there was a large wall in front of the window so i would definitely not recommend this option. The premium rooms are on higher floors and offer better view, if that is what you are going after. Overall it was a comfortable and clean place to stay for a few nights

Facilities: The restaurant is not as good as before. The management is quite chaotic and the food is not delicious. Hygiene: Overall it is clean and tidy, which is basically the standard in Japan. Environment: Very beautiful Japanese garden style, the hotel is not high, but very quiet. Service: I really have to complain about this, it’s really not as good as before. Even if I checked in on my birthday, the hotel didn't even have a card, candy or cake. There is a small cake even on the plane, and the bank even knows to send a blessing message. This is my second stay, but I will probably stay at another hotel in the future. Because at this price, the food is not as good as before and the service is not as good as before. I feel it is not worth it.

I highly recommend having breakfast at this hotel. There is an all-you-can-eat drinks bar on the first floor, and an ice cube machine is also available. However, there were no towels in the public bath, which was inconvenient for me. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at this hotel.
