We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room and hallway were very clean. The price was very fair. What made us happy was the breakfast on the top floor. The floor rotated while eating. We had a great view of the whole of Kyoto. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto

If I had to point out a slightly unsatisfactory aspect, it would be the inefficiency of the front desk service. When I asked for a recommendation for the nearest laundry service, they didn’t provide any suggestions at all and were quite perfunctory. Due to being in a hurry, I asked the front desk to call a taxi to the bus station for me. Instead of taking action, they kept saying that the roads were closed today and that taxis might be delayed, along with a lot of unhelpful comments. This wasted a few minutes. It would have been much better if they had simply gone downstairs to call a taxi and helped solve the problem. Overall, I felt their service lacked enthusiasm, which was something I was very dissatisfied with. As for location wise, this hotel’s location is UNBEATABLE. I would stay again for the location and nothing else

Nestled in the heart of Kyoto, the hotel's location was simply perfect. It provided easy access to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions, ensuring that I could explore the beauty of Kyoto with utmost convenience. Whether it was the majestic Kinkaku-ji Temple or the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, everything was within reach, allowing me to immerse myself fully in the city's rich heritage. The hotel's architecture and interior design were a true reflection of Kyoto's aesthetic beauty. The moment I entered the lobby, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and harmony. The attention to detail was impeccable, with traditional Japanese elements seamlessly integrated into the contemporary design. It's beautiful hotel which has own shuttle buses to Kyoto station. They pay attention to every detail and every aspect. Service is superb. hotel staffs are very friendly and so polite. They welcome you from the beginning outside hotel. Greeting every time they see you. Shuttle buses drives are extremely helpful and friendly.! Breakfast are always great. Morning chef is amazing and kind. Thank you. And please give my best regards to him. Me and my parents had lovely time during stay. And if not because we booked hotel another week at Osaka, we sure would love to stay another week. My father still talk about the trip at your hotel while we stay at Imperial Hotel Osaka. Easily the best hotel that we've stayed in Japan so far. Location is great as what everyone says. Right smack in a shopping district with full of eateries. Too bad I only booked 2 nights in Kyoto. Should have stayed longer. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Guided me through their self check in system which is user friendly as well. Will definitely come back to this hotel again.

I booked a premier twin with city view guest room in this Banyee Tree Group Hotel at Kyoto Sanjo district. The hotel location is very good and just slightly off Kyoto City shopping centres within a 5-10 mins walking distance, which is good for my family since we can do some walking exercise and looking for good japanese food everyday when we are going out without wasting time to find transportation and yet there is a sub-way train Sanjo station just right next to the hotel for linking up to other scene spots and even to Osaka and other places as you wish. The quality of hospitality service is good and some staff are hands-on and can communicate via english. The room interior is warm and comfort to my family and I like its comfy bed and sufficient hot-water rain-shower and both my family and myself had a good sleep there. The Wi-Fi speed is acceptable and the room cleaning service is also above average.

The hotel was nice but the location was a bit far from where the downtown area was. Also the windows were tinted with a plastic film, could not see outside. Finally the AC was not stable that was a bit problematic but all and all it was a nice place.

Superb location in Sino Kwaramachi, near elegant department stores like BAL and Takashimaya, Right next door to the hotel is a popular bulengerie and in walking distance any number of convenience stores. I'd like to recommend the hotel makes avaible English language news programmes in the TV in each room. Also, would it be possible to extend the breakfast period to 10:30 am as one tends when on holiday to not enjoy getting up early to meet the ”last service” of 9:30 am. his hotel is located at a perfect location in Kyoto, with the Kyoto Station being 2-5 minutes away depending on walking speed. There are many eateries and restaurants around the area, and the availability of various malls such as Aeon enhanced the experience we had staying in Miyako Hotel. Self check-in kiosks were used, and payment for foreign tax can be done seamlessly there. They have 2 different buildings in which the rooms are situated, which was unfortunate for my family as we were assigned rooms in each of the different buildings. However, the rooms were big and comfortable, and I was happy with the stay. While mineral water was not given for each day, they had a water dispenser in each level of the rooms, which made it convenient to obtain water. Vending machines are also available for those who prefer to get their own bottle of drink/mineral water. The staff were very friendly with any questions or requests and were fast with assistance for baggage storage. The only downside could be the lack of coin washing machines in the hotel itself, and the next nearest available public coin washing machine was located about 5-7 minutes away from the hotel itself. It is not easy to find and can be quite a hassle to actually do any sort of laundry unless you are willing to pay for the in-house laundry service. Overall, it is definitely recommended to choose Miyako.

Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was ok and they offered both japanese and continental options. The standard rooms on the 2nd floor had no view as there was a large wall in front of the window so i would definitely not recommend this option. The premium rooms are on higher floors and offer better view, if that is what you are going after. Overall it was a comfortable and clean place to stay for a few nights
