Amazing hotel stay experience! Highly strategic location with convenient access to Kyoto station. Friendly service from service staff. Top-notch cleanliness. Toiletries and other amenities are available at front desk. The gender-segregated public bath was safe and relaxing. Breakfast buffet variety was great too. In the early morning of my second day staying here, both the hot and cold water supplies were unavailable, but the hotel management fixed the issue promptly and resumed the water supplies within a few hours' time.

All my expectations were exceeded. It's difficult to express in words how amazing our stay was. The staff are the best - genuinely friendly and went out of their ways to help us with a luggage issue. The rooms are well appointed, cosy and elegant and the location is perfect. We were so in love with the hotel that we cut short our Tokyo trip to come back here! Couldn't recommend this more!

Comfortable stay with an impressive terrace on roof top where you can chill out with the view of Kyoto while soaking your feet, so comfy! Bar time in the evening at the terrace. Small hot bath area yet peaceful ambience. Small room but well equipped. They suggest to store the luggage under the bed but personally found that it isn't practical for big luggage. Otherwise the mattress is comfortable and the provided amenities are all fine for the stay. Good location even department stores, shops, restaurants, public transportation, attractions, Gion and etc are in walking distance but still silent enough and I had a good stay here. Also taxi stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance. Luggage can be store after check out but please check with the time for picking up with the staff.

Here’s a possible review for your stay: I had a fantastic stay at this accommodation! The space was immaculately clean, and the bathroom was incredibly well-equipped, allowing for a personal onsen experience – such a treat! The added feature of being able to dry clothes in the bathroom was a great bonus. The mini kitchen was also a highlight, providing everything needed to prepare a simple hot meal with fresh items from the supermarket. Overall, a wonderfully convenient and comfortable experience. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been to Kyoto many times and stayed in various luxury hotels, but the Kyoto Bettei at the Sora-niwa Terrace this time is definitely our favorite and most satisfying one! Although the room rate is nearly 6,000 per night, it is worth the money. If it weren’t for the fact that the bed was a little too soft and not elastic enough, it would almost be a full score💯 The hotel is in an extremely advantageous location, with subways and trains nearby, small rivers and large rivers within easy reach, and beautiful scenery; The room has a private hot spring in Shijo Kawaramachi, which is extremely rare in a hotel in the city center, and the hot spring water quality is excellent. After taking a bath every day, I feel that my skin and body are in great condition; The service is first-class, the front desk guy is handsome and gentle, not only carefully and thoughtfully explaining all the details, but also recommending several particularly delicious restaurants for us (we have almost tasted them, great!) The hotel room is spacious and very comfortable, making us almost reluctant to go out... There is a warm outdoor terrace overlooking Kiyomizu Temple, a TV that can be projected, and a refrigerator full of snacks and various drinks for free... What surprised us most is that the hotel has a ”secret exit” only for guests. From here, you don't need to go through the front desk and go directly to the nearby streets. Every time you walk, you feel like you are on a ”Roman Holiday”. I strongly recommend friends who come to Kyoto to stay here. We will definitely choose this place again next time we come.

Highly recommended! The environment is pleasant, the service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and approachable. I am especially grateful to a Chinese counter staff member who helped us when my daughter experienced severe nose bleeding that lasted more than 45 minutes. We were extremely worried and reached out to the counter for assistance. She responded immediately, activated the ambulance, and stayed attentive throughout. The ambulance arrived quickly, and the medical staff were both kind and knowledgeable, guiding us on how to stop the bleeding. Thankfully, the bleeding stopped, and there was no need to visit the hospital. Additionally, the breakfast was a delightful experience, featuring special traditional dishes served in a private cubicle for each room. The hot spring was also unique, offering private rooms for a more intimate and relaxing experience.

Location is very good just in front of Nijio station which is just 2 stops from Kyoto station . Staff are helpful n excellent services . Room are bright with Big window facing station . In the lobby they provide all day coffee n tea free of charge . There is also A public bath provided , nice hotel Will come again

I had an excellent stay at Fauchon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The hotel staff were also incredibly attentive and polite throughout our stay. My room was small but comfortable, featuring modern and luxurious amenities that were stylishly pink in colour and comfortable bedding. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, with thoughtful touches including a whole array of complimentary cookies and cake. Breakfast was served as a set menu and selection was limited and basic but expertly prepared and presented. The hotel's location was also perfect for me because it is situated right in the heart of Kyoto yet away from the crowded spots with excellent access to public transportation. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, the nearest train station is about 10 mins walk and the hotel is approx 15 mins walk to Kawaramachi Street (shopping area). Just behind our hotel is the river and all the restaurants. Our room has the mountain view.

Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto.
