“+” Good location, 5 minutes walk till the tram and Grand Bazaar. After our first night room was changed - the TRUE Standard Suite was perfect, but those who order Standard Suite - beware of fraud from the hotel’s side, they can easily provide you with room 101, which by any criteria advertised at Booking is NOT Standard Suite. We had the wedding anniversary short city escape to Istanbul and the holiday was a bit ruined by this first night. “-“ We booked Standard Suite room. We were provided with room 101 and said that “this is also a Standard Suite!”. Horrible it was: 1) Toilet seat broken 2) No towels provided, only for the floor 3) No hot water at all 4) Safe not working 5) Bed sheet was incorrect size and did not cover the mattress - which is not hygienic. 4) Only bed sheets provided for night - not even offered some light blankets. After we asked for some blankets - they brought us a blanket without blanket cover… Standard Suite room is advertised at Booking as 35 sq m room - room 101 is some 20 in best dreams. Nothing common - 101 looks like a standardroom, but that even would not be a problem for me if addressed correctly and provided everything what the room should have contained. We turned to the reception and the answer was they will work on non-conformities tomorrow (toilet seat and water). Towels absence was noticed when already in shower - so get dried, baby, by your own clothes and run to the reception to ask for the towels! After a loud talk with some manager by phone we were said we shall be provided by another room for next 2 nights. The new provided room was exactly as on the photos, so no claims about it at all! All in all - I understand everything and always react calm if something is wrong, we are all people and human factor exists, BUT I hate when someone tries to say something is white when it is black in reality and holds you for a stupid tourist. Staff said “oh, we only 2 people here in shifts, we JUST WORK here”, general manager is “out of the country”. No supervisor, no-one to address the issues. Beware anyone who orders Standard Suite if you will be placed in 101 - just ask staff to show you room 502 as an example or any other their Standard Suite - and you will see the difference:) Compare last two my photos of beds in room 101 amd true Standard Suite ;)
