Three House Hotel

We spent two weeks in the Three House Hotel and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and featured the best parts of a hotel and apar**ent accommodation with plenty of room like an apar**ent rental and excellent housekeeping and amenities like a hotel. The rooftop pool, bar and sun deck were great and every interaction we had with their team was extraordinary, from our check in and tour of the hotel to our check out at 2:30am. We loved the location and loved everything about our stay (except for having to leave for the airport at 2:30am!).

Really happy we chose to stay at Three House Hotel. This was a great base for our week in Madeira and centrally located in the heart of Funchal yet an oasis of cool and calm amongst the hustle and bustle. The rooftop pool and bar provides one of the best panoramas in the city and serves great cocktails along with good music including DJ’s and jazz on some evenings. The apar**ents are clean with modern tasteful decoration and the facilities for self catering if desired. The free underground parking for the rent a car was an added bonus. Like other reviewers have mentioned the staff were all kind and attentive however a special shout out goes to Sidonio who provided some excellent information and who certainly knows his Funchal restaurants. All in all I recommend you stay at Three House Hotel if you are coming to Madeira - I’m already looking for an excuse to come back..!

Great apar**ent - roomy, well appointed and clean with excellent facilities. I even made some soup using veg from the local market and their blender in the kitchen. Friendly staff; great location - central and close to amenities; infinity pool up on the roof was amazing. Overall a great place to stay.

Great location in the centre of Funchal. We had a well equipped living area / kitchen and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The apar**ent did not have a balcony, but there is a large roof-top bar, loungers, and a pool for guests. The staff were excellent in all regards. Communication on my booking was very efficient and responsive when my flight was cancelled and I had to re-arrange dates.

Arrived for a 5 night stay on January 31st. Excellent pre arrival communication via the search engine I used & WhatsApp from the Hotel.👍👍. Warmly welcomed by Miquel, who after the necessary paperwork, showed us to our large & well appointed room ( 503), with the SMEG kitchen appliances a real touch of class 👍👍. It is worth noting & to the best of my knowledge, none of the rooms have a sea view. The roof terrace, bar & pool area more than make up for any lack of sea view from your room. Service throughout our stay was consistently good & always polite. This is a long overdue review, nevertheless it just had to be done. Recognition for this beautiful hotel and staff is much deserved. We stayed there in December during my birthday, the hotel staff was kind enough to leave us a bottle of champagne waiting in the room for us which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. The daily pastries left on the door every morning was what we looked forward to after waking up! The Three House Hotel in Funchal exceeded all expectations! From the charming architecture to the impeccable service, every detail was thoughtfully curated. The rooms are stylishly decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The staff's hospitality is unparalleled, making you feel genuinely welcome. Just wanted to give a shout-out to Andre and the rooftop terrace crew who took care of us during our stay. The breathtaking views of Funchal from the rooftop terrace was simply mesmerizing. The perfect place to spend the afternoons just doing nothing lying by the pool. Three House Hotel is a true gem, providing an unforgettable and indulgent escape. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique and delightful stay in Funchal! And when we return to Funchal, we would without a doubt be staying at this wonderful hotel again.

The service at Three House was exceptional. From the reception, to the Bar and Restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble. There were little extras like fresh pastries hung in string baskets on the door each morning, lovely bathrobes, car hire sorted out with nothing for me to do but make the payment i’m jump in the vehicle, brilliant restaurant recommendations. The room also was great, really spacious, lots of fancy appliances from Smeg, two huge TVs, comfortable throughout. I stayed a week and felt very much at home. The hotel has a really nice rooftop bar and small pool, but no inside bar or lounge area if the weather is not fine. Highly recommend this place.

This relatively new hotel, situated in the center of Funchal's old town, really understands how to provide maximum comfort to guests! Our lodging is spacious, offers a beautiful view of the hills, and comes with helpful amenities such as complimentary pastries in the morning and self-service water refills. Our only minor complaint is noise from the streets, but the hotel does supply ear plugs! The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. Last but not the least, the rooftop bar is worth a visit for its tasty cocktails.

Well appointed rooms designed in a minimalist style Amazing top roof terrace with a very stylish bar offering awesome cocktails, a beautiful pool and amazing views from the heights over Funchal and the ocean, I simply loved to enjoy the sunrise light early in the morning, the best possible start of the day! Very cute unexpected touches such as the fresh pieces of fruit or the freshly baked croissants hang on your door in morning Washing facilities were perfect for hiking holiday makers I did not try the restaurant but the menu sounded very appealing to me What really made the difference was the extraordinary assistance provided by Sidonio all throughout my journey: before, during and even after my stay. He is a very professional front desk manager, sharing his personal tips of any kind to help you enjoy Funchal and its gastronomy to the most. A real asset for the hotel!
