Such a well run small hotel! Every detail was outstanding and quietly delivered. Breakfast buffet delightful, with eggs always available. My wife and I had dinner once and it was much better than I anticipated. Salmon with sauce really tasty and the goulash was as good as anywhere in the country. Housekeeping thorough and beds very comfortable. As a former hotel GM in the states I’m critical. This family really runs an excellent hotel!

A super location to relax up in the mountains. Amazing views throughout the day as the light changes. We opted to pay a little more to ensure a view and we did not regret this decision. We visited hotel the first week of October and just out of season, but for this, we had a most relaxing time. The menu was limited, but the quality of everything we ordered was excellent. A great stay and a hotel I would certainly recommend.

The view is simply stunning.. it’s not a cheap hotel but the view alone is worth a stay here and the hotel is really great. Very comfortable, recently refurbished or fairly new. The staff was smiling and helpful (unlike most Germans). Our room had the stunning valley view and we made sure to have breakfast, dinner and drinks at night at their restaurant facing the valley. Breakfast was really good spread and even champagne if you into it in the morning. Highly recommended! From here we covered: Berchtesgaden, Königssee lake, Gondola ride to Jenner and hiking. We went for a morning walk to Austria, if you walk uphill frm the hotel you reach another country. It really was fascinating for me.

Wir hatten das Hotel aufgrund seiner vielen guten Bewertungen ausgewählt und insbesondere nach einem Hotel mit extra Restaurant gesucht, da wir beim Abendessen flexibel sein wollten. Leider wurden wir massiv enttäuscht. Zunächst aber zu den positiven Dingen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, der Ausblick ist grandios. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Äußerst negativ fing es schon beim Betreten des Hotels an. Es roch im Foyer sehr unangenehm nach altem Frittenöl, wie in einem Imbiss. Das erste Abendessen war dann auch sehr ernüchternd. Das original Wiener Schnitzel war wirklich mit Abstand das schlechteste, das ich je gegessen habe. Das arme Kalbfleisch wurde in billigem Öl oder einer Frittöse ausgebacken, die Pommes waren ölgetränkt und schmeckten nach billigster TK Ware. Nun war uns klar, woher der Fettgeruch im Hotel herrührte. Der außerdem bestellte Lachs war übergart und trocken, die Sauce war ebenfalls billigste Tütenware. Die Preise lagen allerdings im gehobenen Bereich. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir uns auf das angekündigte, "reichhaltige" Frühstück gefreut. Nun ja, die Auswahl war recht bescheiden. Das Frühstücksei war zwar schön weich, allerdings eiskalt und ungenießbar. Auf Nachfrage sagte man mir, die Eier würden schon Morgens um 6 Uhr gekocht und würden dann bis 8-9 Uhr in einem Korb liegen. Ein statt dessen bestelltes Rührei war ohne jeglichen Geschmack bis auf den von billigem Öl. Wie schon oben erwähnt, war die Einrichtung des Zimmers zweckmäßig, die Bestuhlung auf dem Balkon war jedoch inakzeptabel. Alte, verranzte und defekte Gartenstühle. Leider wird die grandiose Lage durch den ekeligen Fettgeruch der den ganzen Tag durch das Hotel zieht zunichte gemacht. Essen muß man außerhalb und den Tag entspannt auf dem Balkon ausklingen lassen ist nicht möglich. Schade drum.

Wir waren nur Abendessen dort. Zuerst zum Essen. Standard aber gut, nichts besonderes. Recht teuer für die Qualität. Unflexibel, da man auch als Hotelgast vorbestellen muss. Das Personal....keine Ahnung was ich da sagen sollte. Unprofessionell und nicht gastlich trifft es. Uns wurde fast 3x das Essen unterm Essen abgeräumt. Sowas geht absolut gar nicht. Nie wieder
