Hotel Dengan Airport pickup service di Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil

There was a problem with the water running out in the middle of the night. Luckily, I had already taken a shower. But we had to go without flushing the toilet. The pool is great, as is the terrace where it is located. The breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable, as was the bed, but I found the bathroom a little small and cramped. I found the service at check-in to be a bit haphazard, the employee seemed stressed, but at check-out the employee was kind and polite.

Although slightly out of the way, the views and proximity to the beach are excellent. However, the service is quite poor and way below international standards. Most staff stand around and play with their phones (even the life guard). Breakfast is basic and doesn’t change from day-to-day. Some of the restaurant’s food is frankly embarrassing for any type of food outlet. The chefs should be quite ashamed to send it out. The pool is area is nice but worn out. No one cleans it during the day and tables are dirty. The loungers have seen better days. English language is quite rare apart from the receptionists, which to be fair, they’re probably the best staff there. The potential of the hotel is there - just needs good management and training. Do better!

There are some areas for improvement: common areas need renovation, and there is better lighting in the hallways on the floors. The service is a positive point.

Points for improvement: The hotel has an inadequate pool location, with the view blocked by a film. The pool was very dirty, with dirt and cloudy water. There was no control whatsoever. The air conditioning had a broken blade and was held in place by a bag of sugar. The bathroom was not very clean. The TV was not connected to the Wi-Fi. Positive points: The room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the service was very good, the location is good despite being far from the beach, and the breakfast, although it had many gluten-free options, had several savory dishes.

I’d describe this hotel as utilitarian. No decor or warmth at all. The common areas are spacious and quite bare.Table and chairs at the restaurant are plain brown wood, The lobby is sparsely furnished with some worn , drab and very uncomfortable seats. Bathrooms are the same. Just the very bare essentials, not even a box of tissue paper ( and thin toilet paper) We travelled long hours,  arrived at 22:00 looking forward to a good shower …not to be. We were up for a bad start. There  was just a trickle of water not enough to bathe or properly brush teeth either. That could have been a whole area problem as we were told that water pressure can sometimes drop in some areas of the city. We changed rooms , water pressure  wasn’t much better the next day either, the water flow improved just a little and remained as such the whole week. We had paid for 5 nights and ended up staying as the city was packed that week . To go looking for another hotel during the G20 summit which Rio was hosting that week of November 2024 would not be an easy task.  On the positive side, staff was pleasant and accommodating, bed was comfortable and from our perspective, the breakfast buffet was the best feature of this hotel offering abundant variety of  food to meet all tastes- cereal, fruits and cheeses, cold cuts, several hot savory breakfast  dishes - incl. some Brazilian regional dishes as well, a huge selection of breads, cakes, good coffee, and more. Very satisfying. Including breakfast in the booking is highly recommended.  The good fare offered at the hotel at lunch and dinner not good at all. However, there are also three of four restaurants lined up on a small stretch within 5 min walking distance of the hotel- one of them is a very good authentic European Portuguese cuisine and wine. Aprox. US$ 52 for a meal for two. On the same cluster of shops there is a well established Brazilian cuisine restaurant with a good menu where one can eat well for anything  between US$ 12  to US$ 15 and a steak house similar to the Australian Outback steak house.  There are also other eateries snd convenience shops, a pharmacy on the same stretch ( 5 min walk ffrom the hotel) including a 24 hr laundromat where one can expect to wash and dry a load for about US$ 7.  As for location, this hotel is not close to the most well known districts of Rio - places like Copacabana, Ipanema , Leblon - but Barra da Tijuca is a special area in itself and arguably has the best beach in town. The hotel is just a 10 - 15 min taxi ride to Barra Shopping-  the largest and best shopping mall in the whole state of Rio de Janeiro where one can find anything,  including restaurants (recommend trying Jappa all you can eat Japanese food spread for US$ 26 as in Nov 2024). On the whole , when compared with the fashionable and pricey districts of Copacabana , Ipanema Leblon  this hotel is good value for money . I’d stay there again if they fixed the shower situation b’cause this feature matters for me.

For the price that you can only rent a dubious hostel for in Copacabana, I rented a room in a full-fledged excellent hotel Windsor with history and corresponding service The location in the center (although there are also a number of interesting sights near the hotel) is easily compensated by using Uber (to the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema - about 45 BRL, Jardim Botanico - 26 BRL, Barra da Tijuca - 60 BRL, from the airport GIG - 63, back - 44 That is, taxi prices in Rio are very affordable Among the undoubted advantages, I will note a varied breakfast with a large number of hot dishes, fruits, natural juices, pastries. Breakfast is enough for the whole day Among the minuses: - non-working hair dryer, safe - very noisy built-in ventilation (had to open the window at night) - next to the hotel - a large number of homeless people, the smell of corrections (but this is not the fault of the hotel, of course), therefore the area nearby is not conducive to walking

It's worthy of a five-star rating, but it's too far from the city, which is also the main reason for the low price. No problem, just go when the price is right

The hotel could check the sanitary vessel caps because in the two apartments were loose , they are of very poor quality, the air conditioning when I called started to drop down the water without stop but immediately I complained and a boy from the maintenance and saw a problem

Negative points: 1) we requested a room with a double bed when booking, but when we arrived in the room, two single beds were made available, and the situation was only resolved at night. 2) I ordered lunch via Ifood, and checked out the room. The hotel didn't let me eat my meal on the hotel's premises, and it was very uncomfortable not having a place to eat. I had to eat in the car.

Excellent accommodation for family and children. A comfortable hostel, excellent staff and with great fun for children.

I love Búzios Resort. Good place family, especially for children. I just think you need to improve a little bit the food, put more varieties. But beyond that, everything is great. I've been 2 times.

The service at the pool by the waiters, especially Danilo, deserves a round of applause. The menu has fair prices for different tastes and dishes. Everything very delicious. Don't forget to try the super filling shrimp pastry and the sun-dried meat with cassava. We didn't like the noise from the air conditioning, and the service from the reservations department, staff who were harsh in their responses. Excellent pool. Location note 1000

Great service, as well as breakfast

The car's upstairs to park is horrible and the stairs to access tbm are very tiring. The hostel is good in itself, clean and comfortable rooms.

O hotel é maravilhoso, no centro perto de tudo para ir andando, quem é de fora do país é excelente pra fazer amizades, no hotel tem um grupo de moradores e sempre tem atividades para se fazer. Eu só nao gostei muito do café da manha pois como boa brasileira eu gosto de café da manhã em buffet a vontade, e lá o café é de forma individual, você escolhe uma opção entre 5 que tem e eles te servem, tem opções para gringos e brasileiros, mas gosto mais de comer a vontade e escolher, fora isso foi tudo completamente perfeito.

I was disappointed because in the hotel description, she says that there is a covered and heated pool. When we arrived the pools were disabled. I asked the receptionist and she told that it was a good time disabled. It would be good to take the swimming pool out of the hotel as a leisure item.

Hotel with excellent location, very good service since reception, room service and cleaning service. The room with great cost benefit, but only the availability of parking vacancies (but the team was careful and arranged a vacancies for the car night). We arrived early in the city and couldn't check in yet, but the team offered breakfast, use bathrooms, saved our bags and gave advice to the beach. They offer free pipoca every day in the afternoon! Excellent, safe and full of lunch, lunch and dinner options. Super approved!
