The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. You can take the elevator down to the LL floor, turn left out the door, and you're directly at Lotte Duty Free. Myeongdong shopping street is just across the road, and subway access is very easy with multiple exits nearby. There's even a 7-Eleven conveniently located right by the entrance. However, considering the service, facilities, and overall amenities, the price is genuinely expensive and frankly, not worth it. A Westin in a major Chinese city, offering better and newer facilities in every aspect, would only cost a little over 1000 RMB. For this price point, back home (in China), you could easily stay at a Ritz-Carlton. It's definitely not good value! It really highlights how high the cost of living is in Korea!

I would like to take a moment to express my appreciation for the consistently warm and welcoming atmosphere I experience each time I visit your hotel. The staff, in particular, has always made a positive impression, offering an exceptional level of service that truly enhances my stay. However, I would like to bring to attention a concern that I encountered during my most recent visit. While the majority of the team exhibits exemplary professionalism and courtesy, I did notice that a few individuals seemed to approach their roles with a sense of authority that bordered on rigidity. It appeared that, at times, their position was interpreted as a form of power or entitlement rather than a service-oriented responsibility. As a guest, I believe that the true role of a hotelier is to serve and assist, regardless of one's title or position. The spirit of hospitality, in my view, lies in creating an environment where guests feel valued and respected, without the presence of any sense of hierarchy or authority overshadowing the experience.

I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos. The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly. When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice. Will definitely be back. Grand Hyatt <3 !

All of the reviews in Google are correct. It's a very pretty, stylish hotel. But it's also weirdly inconvenient: pay W56000 for the outside pool on top of the price of the room, W30000 extra for the sauna; slow elevators with a weird system (3 different circuits that don't communicate, dedicated rooftop elevator after 6pm - so even though I had a room on the 18th floor, I needed to go down and then up to the 19th floor); loud music with the outside pool that can be heard inside the rooms on that side; champoo bottle in the shower didn't work, the bathtub comes only with a soap bar; etc. The staff were wonderful, and the service excellent: when something was found wrong with my room, an adequate solution was found immediately. But I do expect an overall easier experience than what I received in the past few days.

Its location is perfect. Near the City hall station and the airport limousine stop. It is also walking distance to important places in Seoul like Gwanghwamun square, Gyeongbokgung palace and Cheonggyecheon. The staff are also accommodating and very helpful. This place is a little off the touristy streets and quiet at night so just perfect to have that reset a long day of travel and tour in the city.

From the Incheon airport, you can take AREX and change to line 1 at Seoul Station. You can change to line 4 from Seoul station and get off at the next station, Hoehyeon station. You can go to exit 3. Unfortunately, there is no escalator, so if you have heavy luggage and things, you must go up the stairs yourself. Except for this drawback, the location was good, near Myeondong, and I also went to the Namsan cable car on foot. The welcoming and check-in process was easy. The breakfast selection was varied and a little bit crowded. Room cleaning is not satisfactory, cause the inside door area of my room was sticky and it remained for three consecutive days. The gym and pool were small. To sum up, I would love to stay again next time.

Room has a view of the N Seoul Tower, has a smoking corner at the Annex building and self service laundry is available. Friendly staff My only complain about Sejong Hotel, out of the 4 nights that I stayed, the aircon to the room was switched off for the first 2 nights, 3rd night was ok but during the last night, the aircon was switched off around 8pm! Luckily the weather is cold so we just open the window to let the natural air to cool down the room

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Metro Line 5. However, reaching Line 2 or Line 4 involves a significant walk, as you have to navigate past the Line 5 station area, which takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. On the plus side, there's a convenient airport shuttle bus stop nearby, making travel to the airport very easy. My experience wasn't entirely positive, though. I was assigned a room at the very end of the corridor, and the Wi-Fi was extremely poor. Specifically, from the bed closer to the exterior wall, I could barely connect at all.

I enjoyed staying at the KOREANA and would stay again. The breakfast is a nice mix of western and Chinese. A previous review I read said the bacon was too hard. Well, it was just right for me. The hotel must've read that review because they had soft bacon clearly separated from the hard bacon. There are several restaurants in the hotel, a fitness center, and coin laundry. The airport shuttle dropoff/pickup is directly in front of the hotel. The hotel is dated but it is still quite comfortable. Dated in a, it gives it character, type of way. Check in was easy. They had a small fire extinguisher and safety flashlight in the room and extinguishers all throughout the hallway. I honestly had not considered those types of safety measures in hotels until I saw them and I appreciate that they were there. Subway is down the street a short distance. I would stay again.

I've been staying at this hotel for a decade, and its location has always been superb. However, the facilities have really gone downhill and are now almost at a hostel standard, especially the bedding. On this most recent stay, upon entering the ground floor lobby, I was immediately hit by a strong sewage smell, which also permeated my room. The carpet in the room felt visibly dirty. It feels like the hotel is in desperate need of a major renovation and upgrade. On a positive note, the staff's service attitude was excellent.

The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 14 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park subway station (though my navigation suggested 10 minutes via main roads, there's a convenient shortcut). The lobby on the 14th floor is very spacious. The room was impressively large, bigger than other properties of the same brand I've stayed at, including one nearby and another in Jeju Island (this is my third time staying with this chain). The bed was nothing special, about 1 meter wide, but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler. If I return to the area, this would absolutely be my top choice! The attached photo is of Hongdae – I completely forgot to take pictures of the hotel itself!

The location was superb. It was just a few minutes walk away from Euljiro 4-ga station and 5mins.wall from Chungmuro station. You can take the airport limousine bus in front of Hotel Kukdo, near Euljiro 4-ga. This is our second booking. We stayed in the standard twin room. It was spacious enough for 2 pax. The room was clean and the amenities were good - bedroom slippers, bathing robes, bathing towels, hand towels, cups, teas and coffee bags. TV was working but quite small and far from the first bed. Bathroom was quite small as the toilet bowl, basin and bathtub were just besides each other. Toilet has a bidet. Housekeeping service was good too. Staff were polite and welcoming. As compared to our previous booking on the Premium triple room, this room pales in terms of space and amenities. The previous one was spacious, TV was big at the center of the room and the teas given were of better quality.

This is basically a traditional business hotel. Where there is still telephone and safe box in the room. Deposit by cash or credit card is also collected during check in. First of all, checking in hotel is handled by a not so friendly staff. Her colleagues did better and more professional. Maybe the staff is new and need training in customer service. A brief look at the room i found a few defects. Went to feedback to the staff on night duty. He is friendly and professional. Thanks to his efficiency, the problems was solved the next day. There are options to book airport taxi or to train station. Euljiro 3 station for Line 2 and 3 is only 7-8 mins walking. There are several cafes, bakeries and restaurants around the hotel. Seoul N tower and Namsan park is also within walking distance. Seoul station is also 10-15 mins by taxi and if there is no luggage or less luggage then one can even walk there while enjoying the streets of Seoul. The hotel is new (2013) and we had a view of the tower and the Namsan mountain from the room. Myeongdong shopping street is also around 10 mins walk. It was the first time for me to be in South Korean and didn’t know what is the best location to travel with family but this was it!!! About one hour from Inchon airport by train(Airport Line: Gongdeok Station), no transfer and about 5 mins walking to the hotel. The environment was safe and lots of restaurants nearby, not too busy but very convenient. Early to access to famous sightseeing places and cities. The hotel was clean and the service was good, not particularly excellent but almost no complaints except one. We choose to stay in a twin room and the beds were pretty small.. Asian single beds. I am a small Asian woman but still felt very small!! I would recommend one double bed! 5 USB power outlets and no problems to charge your mobiles with only USB codes, didn’t need any power exchangers.

This hotel is simply fantastic! First off, regarding accessibility: if you're coming from the airport with light luggage, it's a direct 5-minute walk from Gongde Station Exit 1. If you have a lot of luggage, you can take the elevator at Exit 8, then walk a short distance and cross the street. Mapo Station Exit 2 also has an elevator, but getting there would require a transfer, and subway transfers in Korea often mean a considerable walk – so it's generally better to stick to the Gongde exits. Being close to two subway stations (Gongde and Mapo) makes getting around incredibly convenient. Secondly, right downstairs from the hotel, there's a local Korean coffee chain, and their bingsu (shaved ice) is quite good. However, for coffee, I'd recommend sticking to the complimentary options in the hotel lobby, as the downstairs shop tends to add too much sugar. To the right of the hotel entrance, you'll find an Olive Young (which is often less crowded, making tax refunds easier), Samdeok Fried Chicken (offering delicious pineapple makgeolli and tteokbokki, with long operating hours), McDonald's, and Subway. To the left, there's 'Niuyue,' which offers high-quality beef offal dishes, and a 7-11 convenience store. Across the street, you'll find a Starbucks, and if you venture further down the alley just past it, you'll discover a vibrant food street. I particularly recommend the breakfast served at the Gyeongbokgung restaurant on the hotel's 2nd floor. They offer 6 authentic Korean dishes of excellent quality. Just remember not to compare them to Chinese cuisine, as Korean dishes are generally simpler overall. Additionally, the Korean BBQ on the 2nd floor also offers excellent quality. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are authentic, and the atmosphere is quite private. Naturally, the prices are on the higher side, but they also offer various set menus and fixed-price meals. The hotel facilities themselves are excellent. The room size is decent, and each room comes with both a shower and a bathtub. Housekeeping cleans the rooms punctually every day. Complementary amenities such as an ice machine, microwave, washing machine, dryer, and gym are also readily available. If I ever visit Seoul again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

Good Location, But Room Size & Soundproofing Could Be Better Stayed at Crown Park Hotel Myeongdong during my trip to Seoul. The location is definitely the highlight — just a short walk to Myeongdong shopping street, subway stations, and lots of food and convenience stores nearby. Super convenient for exploring the city! The room was clean and modern, but a bit smaller than expected, even by Seoul standards. It felt a little cramped for two people with luggage. Also, the soundproofing wasn’t great — I could hear hallway noise and some sounds from neighboring rooms. On the plus side, staff were polite and helpful, and I appreciated the late checkout at 2PM without extra charge. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you’re prioritizing location, but might not be the most comfortable if you’re sensitive to noise or need more space.

Conveniently located next to IFC mall. There is a walkway at L1 that leads you directly to the mall with many high end stores. However, I am not quite happy with their pool. Half of the pool is blocked for play. There are about 20-30 kids there. I doubt they are all hotel guests. The remaining two lanes are ”members only,” and ”laps.” I am not sure what kind of membership you need to be able to swim on the members only lane. That lane is usually not occupied. The lap lane is busy. People jump in and out wihtout notifying the people alreay in the lane. I hit severl people by accident because of the lack of warning. When I asked whether I can use the members only lane. I was told no. Again, I am a paying guest for the hotel. Why can't I use the members only lane? In addition, they have to clean the pool every two hours for 15 minutes (pool is closed during the cleaning). I have never seen a pool that needs cleaning every two hours. Very poor management there.

Amongst Koreans The Shilla Seoul is the Undisputed Quintessential Luxury Hotel. This is due to many factors that can't be found elsewhere, starting with the Beautiful Location that can't be matched you just have to go there to find out, 2nd the engraved legacy in the Korean collective consciousness, the years following 1979 birthday of the Hotel are Korean GDP expansion years, leaving a healthy mix of nostalgia and legacy amongst long-lifespan last big generation of Koreans and their offpsring. Spending a night in a room fully decorated with Cinnamoroll—would it be worth it? I expected it would be, and so I booked the Cinnamoroll character room at Novotel Suites Ambassador Yongsan. My child was even happier than I had imagined, and we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing time together. The swimming pool was a bit small, but since there weren’t many people at the time we used it, we were able to enjoy a peaceful swim. The food package included in the Cinnamoroll room package was perfect for our hungry post-swim time. It tasted great and came with pizza, steak, salad, and drinks—an excellent combination. However, despite booking for two adults and one child, the room was only prepared for two people in terms of towels, slippers, and bottled water. That lack of attention to detail was a bit disappointing. Also, the robe and plush toy provided as part of the Cinnamoroll amenities weren’t packed in anything, which made them inconvenient to carry. It would be great if the hotel could consider things more from the guest's perspective.

The Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences delivers a generally good stay. The rooms are a comfortable size, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, making it easy to unwind after a busy day in the city. The fitness center and pool area exceed expectations—spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. However, there are a few drawbacks that can impact your experience. Weekend breakfast service is limited to just three fixed time slots (6:30, 8:00, and 9:30 AM). Arriving at 9:00 AM means a 30-minute wait, which feels frustrating compared to hotels that offer rolling buffet times or extra seating. Similarly, the pool requires reservations for certain time windows, and children under 16 aren’t permitted in the locker or changing rooms. This policy makes it awkward for a parent and child—while you can change, your daughter cannot, which seems poorly thought out. Overall, the Sofitel Ambassador offers top-tier accommodations and amenities, but its rigid scheduling and family-unfriendly pool policies detract slightly from an otherwise wonderful hotel.
