It was my first time using the hotel, and it was very helpful as it had a wide range of amenities. I made a reservation based on the reviews here and enjoyed the large communal bath and ramen in the evening. The woman at the reception was very polite and made me feel comfortable! Also, the breakfast buffet was very delicious. I would like to use it again next time.
It was a new hotel, so it was very clean. The female staff were very friendly. There were two things I didn't like. The first was that the male staff were quite cold. The second was that the refrigerator had a peculiar smell, and the smell got onto the plastic bottles I put in it. If these two points could be improved, I would like to stay again. The view from the hotel was amazing.
Great room, clean, the breakfast is good, typical Japanese and the location is close to the train station. There are several establishments in the area, restaurants, markets and convenience stores. I loved it!!
The hotel staff is exceptionally courteous, and the room perfectly matches the description on their website—immaculately clean and comfortable. It's just a 5-minute walk to the ski resort, and the food is not only delicious but also diverse and freshly prepared for every meal. During our stay over Christmas, the hotel even crafted a special Christmas menu for us. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return if I decide to ski at Hirugano Kogen again.
The hotel is very close to Hashima Station and the environment is pretty good. The single rooms are small and exquisite, with complete facilities and excellent service attitude. The only downside is that there is no dedicated parking lot.
In order to ensure the utmost level of relaxation, the guestrooms feature an inviting design and are equipped with all basic necessities, creating a delightful stay experience. To ensure your satisfaction, certain rooms in the hotel come fitted with air conditioning for a more pleasant stay.Selected rooms offer in-room amusement like television as a source of entertainment for guests to enjoy.Within specific rooms, a refrigerator and instant tea is conveniently available for your use. Understanding the significance of bathroom facilities in enhancing visitor contentment, hotel offers a hair dryer, toiletries, bathrobes and towels within a few chosen chambers.
I used the guest house for the first time, but it was very clean, beautiful and the parking lot was close.
There is a kitchen, coffee is free, and the service is ◯
I think it's △ that it's a little difficult to understand how to enter the guest house and that the shower room is a little cramped for adult men.
But it's very affordable, so I would like to use it if I come nearby again!
The hotel is near bus station. Hotel onsen is nice. Dinner is pretty good, but breakfast is mostly pickled vegetables and rice, which is very average. Biggest downside is no private bathroom. The whole hotel, only the biggest room has the private bathroom, other smaller rooms have no private bathroom. I woke up at 4 am and had to go to bathroom on the first floor, which felt pretty creepy. Anyway, if you have kids or old people who need to pee often, I won’t recommend it. And no elevator in hotel either. Good luck carry suitcase upstairs .
The location is moderate and convenient, and the price is very cost-effective. I stayed in a traditional Japanese-style room. Although it was older, the cleanliness of the room and shared facilities was pretty good. There is a small refrigerator in the room and no kettle, but hot water bottles are provided every day. The proprietress is very kind and only speaks Japanese, so she uses translation software to communicate.

DDuboisTristanThis place was absolute amazing! By far our favorite place from our whole trip. The location was absolutely perfect for the Takyama festival. We were literally right there with shops and street vendors 50 yards away and the parades would have been right there as well if they weren't canceled due to rain. The rooms were humble and traditional and really added to the experience. The tea in the room was exceptionally good and the traditional Japanese breakfast they served was also delicious and fun to eat. We didn't even know they had a legitimate hot spring on site, but they did! They are Japanese style baths so be ready for that, but the water was therapeutic and so relaxing. I cant recommend this place enough and I would absolute make it a point to visit Takyama and stay here again for a few days on our next trip to Japan. They were such great kind hosts. And I cant believe the price, what an great value. Do yourself a favor and stay here. I'm not sure why the other bad reviews are here I read some of them and they sound like entitled stupid American tourists so ignore them and stay here.
GGuest UserThe hotel is 15 minutes walk from the railway station bus stop, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The hotel is run by several elderly people. It is already a 65-year-old hotel. Starting from the boss's grandfather, the house has a history of 125 years and is very Japanese. The ornaments in the house can be shot for an hour. There is a special doll, and I am fortunate to see the dolls of the boys' day. The old people are very enthusiastic, the breakfast is delicious, it is served by a Japanese grandmother. It is really like a grandmother in anime. It is very similar to talking and walking. The breakfast is very harmonious. I still remember the fish.
GGuest UserPure self-service remote check-in, convenient and flexible management mode. Although Airbnb is unmanaged, the overall facilities, hygiene, kitchen, lobby and other details are in place, bringing convenience and self-discipline to travelers.
The location is about 12 minutes' walk from the JR station, which is a bit far. It is very close to the morning market, Takayama Jinya, etc. If you are in a room with a river window, you can directly see the morning market, which is very convenient.
GGuest UserI think it's a good room. At first I was worried that if I had to sleep with others, it would be noisy, but everyone was very quiet and I slept very well. The bed was quite easy to sleep on, and there were towels, toothpaste, and toothbrushes provided. I was quite satisfied.
GGregorio GastaldiA very nice place with a warm feeling, beginning with the kind staff. Gerard specially is a wonderful host. The kitchen is great, big and full equipped. I loved the small garden and the dinning or resting place full of board games. There is also a traditional Japanese stove to cook for rent. Location is good. If I need to name one disadvantage I could say that both the beds and floors are noisy while moving. I tried not to but every step or movement in the bed was heard. Of course, it’s an old house and makes sense but still is the only thing I could say, the rest perfect and 100% recommended. Even the other guests were all fun.
WWenjing_susieTransportation: After arriving at Takayama Bus Station, take a bus to Fukuchi Onsenkou, which is about an hour's drive. You can see the hotel when you get off the bus, which is very convenient.
Environment: Traditional Japanese inn, the overall environment is good, and the wood is very elegant. The facilities in the room are a bit old, but clean. The room is quite large. The hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor, and there are two private baths. There is no extra charge. You can go in and use them when no one is there. You can enjoy the public pool alone during non-peak hours, which is very comfortable. Since the hotel is far away from the bus terminal, there are more local tourists than hotels near the terminal. There are fewer people overall and the experience is good.
Service: Non-Japanese native speakers have difficulty communicating, and the waiters generally do not understand English, so it is difficult to provide services. The service is not very enthusiastic, but it can basically meet the needs. There is no bed-making service at night, so you need to do it yourself.
Food and Beverage: The room rate includes two meals, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are both Japanese, and dinner includes Hida beef. The quantity is quite large, and you can eat full, and the taste is acceptable.
The overall level is good, especially the price is very affordable among all hot spring hotels. It is a choice I would recommend to my friends.
DDemi.9.22nd time using this place, and as usual, been a really pleasant and enjoyable one
For the price that you pay for, the location is near the train station, bus terminal and walkable distance to the old town as well. Extremely convenient and efficient place.
As usual, staff who was working there were really helpful! And there was this pretty japanese lady, who by the end of our stay went out of her way to assist in sending my snowboard all the way over to hokkaido to my next hotel.
Best services ever 🫰
Location was amongst all the best food the city could provide too!

GGuest UserVery nice hotel, cost-effective, located just opposite the Hirayuhan! I like the hotel's hot springs very much. We stayed at the Hirayuhan on the first day, and the Hirayuhan was full on the second day, so we moved here to stay another night! I personally think it is better than the Hirayuhan opposite! I will stay at this hotel next time I come
