The Museum of Crosses and Shrines in Wola Libertowska

The Antoni Toborowicz Gallery is not an ordinary place, it is the essence of the surrounding landscape. In the construction of the gallery, not only the stones found in the nearby fields were used, but also the surviving fragments from the castle in Żarnowiec, or the old floor from the church in Miechów. Roadside crosses and shrines, protected against the destructive effects of people and time, also found shelter here. The Museum of Crosses and Shrines is located in the village of Wola Libertowska, north-east of Olkusz, in the Silesian Voivodeship. The museum's collections are located in a private mansion designed by the owner Antioni Borowicz, who is also the creator of the exhibits. The owner has gathered in his gallery a large collection of roadside crosses and chapels, as well as sacral sculptures. #poland #museum
