Museum of the University of Opole

A museum that collects collections relating to the history and activities of the University of Opole and the Opole universities from which it was established. It was created thanks to the initiative of the then rector of the University of Opole, prof. Stanisław Nicieja. Since its inauguration, March 10, 2014, it has been based at Collegium Maius of the University of Opole. The aim of the museum is to collect collections regarding the history and activities of the University of Opole and the Opole universities from which it was created (the Higher Pedagogical School in Opole and the Opole branch of the Catholic University of Lublin). In addition, it will organize exhibitions and lectures on culture, science and art. The museum has five exhibition rooms in which it exhibits both its own collections and deposits from other institutions, and also includes a chapel dedicated to St. Saint Wojciech from the 14th century (rebuilt many times, with post-war decoration).
