Nanxun Ancient Town: A historic and cultural town in China, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a National 5A Tourist Attraction. Located in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, at the border of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, it is a famous silk town in Jiangnan, renowned for its silk production during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The ancient town is characterized by a network of rivers, wide stone streets, and residential buildings along the riverbanks, forming a cross-shaped layout. The town is home to numerous high-quality private mansions and gardens, creating a unique blend of small bridges, flowing water, and grand gardens. Notable attractions include the Baijianlou Residential Complex, Hongji Bridge, Guanghui Bridge, Husi Museum, Zhang Mansion, Liu's Ladder Hall, and Xiaolianzhuang. The town is rich in cultural resources, with architecture that combines Chinese and Western styles, exuding the unique charm of Jiangnan's water towns and a deep historical and cultural heritage. It is also one of the best-preserved riverside residential complexes in Jiangnan. As we strolled through the ancient town at sunset, we admired the small bridges, flowing water, long corridors, and pavilions. As the lights came on, the town's light show was equally captivating.
