Huzhou: Encounter the poetic scroll of Jiangnan water towns The first time I heard the name Huzhou, my heart was quietly stirred by the poetic charm that lingers between the mountains and rivers. When the holiday came, I couldn't wait to pack my bags and embark on a romantic journey to Huzhou, eager to explore the gentle charm hidden deep in the years. The moment I stepped into Nanxun Ancient Town, it was as if time had flowed backward, and the old days came rushing back. The bluestone road underfoot winds and twists, and after years of wear and tear, it has lost its original edges and corners, becoming smooth and gentle. Every step feels like a deep conversation with history. The ancient houses along the street are neatly arranged, with white walls and black tiles exuding a simple and rich charm, like a light ink painting. Walking slowly along the river, the black awning boats glide across the water like lively water birds. The oars gently stir the clear river, creating ripples that are the unique gentle traces of the water town. Each ancient bridge stands silently over the river, witnessing countless changes and connecting the lively families on both sides. Entering the Jiayetang Library, the fragrance of books fills the room, with ancient books neatly arranged, recording history and carrying rich cultural heritage, whispering stories of the past. After leaving Nanxun Ancient Town, I arrived at Mogan Mountain. Climbing the winding mountain road, the scenery unfolds like a beautiful painting. The bamboo grows wildly, and the wind rustles the leaves, creating a beautiful symphony of nature. Reaching the top, the rolling mountains and misty clouds create a dreamlike fairyland. The homestays in Mogan Mountain are unique, each with its own style and story. The one I stayed in was surrounded by mountains, and waking up to the birds' songs, I opened the window to fresh air and the scent of grass and trees. The endless greenery was a natural gift. Leaving Mogan Mountain, I arrived at Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park. This vast water world is filled with swaying reeds and water birds flying or resting. The clear lake reveals fish swimming happily. On the island, lush vegetation and rare plants thrive, showing vibrant life. Walking on the wetland boardwalk, I felt the tranquility and beauty of nature, and my worries and fatigue disappeared. During my time in Huzhou, I deliberately slowed down to savor the city's scenery and beauty. The landscape, ancient town charm, and cultural atmosphere left a deep impression on me. Huzhou, like a dazzling pearl in Jiangnan, exudes a unique charm that makes it hard to leave once you step in.
