Ulasan Yang Shuo Senior Leader International Youth Hostel (West Street Lijiang Branch)

If anybody rated this Hostel more than a one must’ve had their eyes closed and their nose plugged. I’ve been staying hostels since 1993  around the world and this was the poorest condition of Hostel I’ve ever stayed in The pictures shown on Trip.com must’ve been Photoshop because where I stayed. Didn’t anyone come quotes that I’ll be posting pictures of what Trip.com has and with the reality is The bed mattress was made of plywood. No mattress I was afraid to put my head on the pillow. I had my towel. I thought I’d get lice or something. The room had a smell to it. Give me a headache no piles of garbage empty bags just about every corner the curtain that separated my bed from the outside from the room was hanging there, not fully attached to the rod, the entry path going from the main street to the hostile scary not flat just the whole overall appearance of the outside and inside was like whoever’s managing this hostile doesn’t care about how things look and be an easy cleanup. Someone just cared. This is the first time the rating and the comments that I read from Trip.com were absolutely not true, fortunately I just spent one night and I’m glad I did From time to time I’ve been known to sleep on chairs at airports on benches outside and I’d rather sleep at an airport or a bench outside then staying in this hostel surprised that I didn’t see rats and cockroaches. Maybe I didn’t have my eyes open wide enough. I have downloaded pictures you see that Trip.com posted and then you can see the ones that I took. Can you tell the difference?

I went to this International Youth Hostel for 5 days during the national vacation of China. The staff was very welcoming and the room very clean. The room are for 4 peoples only and it’s not mixte so I field very secure and comfortable. I pay less then 10€/ per day with breakfast and all first necessary cares like toothpaste and shampoo. The bed have curtains so it’s look like a little room with charger and light to not disturb others (and you at the same time). If you are a student like me with a low income it’s the perfect place for you ! ❤️😊

Perfect Hostel for the Price. Nice and clean rooms. You got unlimited free water, oats and Snacks. In the Morning Even some Toast for breakfest. Toilets Were solid and clean. Internet Connection was also okay. Lobby is very nice and you can chill and sit there an Talk to the people in the Hostel. For foreigner could be difficult to Check in because there isnt always someone there from the Staff you have to call them or wechat. Overall very solid Hostel for the Price would recommend.

The hostel is fine overall—clean rooms, decent facilities, and good location. The main issue is that it’s nearly impossible to get in touch with the owners if you have a concern. While the place is well-kept, having more accessible management would make the experience much better.

The room made my things smell like cigarettes because people were smoking inside. Place felt abandonned but it was okay for a couple of nights.

I was droppy off by my tour bus in Yangshuo downtown so I booked a Didi to the hostel for only 9 kuai. Take note that the hostel is not along a major street. From the pinned location, cross to the other side and walk straight. There is an old building bearing the name Lao Ban Cheng but that is not the one. Head forward and you'll find the neon sign. The check-in was fast and I was given to a bunk bed room for two people but I was the only one in the room. There is a private toilet and bathroom and they have a water heater and hair dryer. The location is only near West Street for good food and shopping. I found a restaurant that offers RMB 68 for a set meal of beer fish, veggies, and stir fried chicken (I think). I don't eat rice so I devoured everything on my own. The Yangshuo Railway Station is about 50 minutes away from the hostel. You can take a bus from West Street to Downtown Yangshuo for RMB 2 and then bus to the railway station for RMB 22. But I was lazy so I just booked Didi and left the hostel at 8:30. I paid RMB 68. IT was a good decision as I still saw more karst mountains. The hostel offers basic breakfast of bread and hot drinks but I was not up to it. But this is a big plus for a budget accommodation. I would book this hostel again if I find myself in Yangshuo again.

The hostel isn't where the reception is. There is an attached building where the rooms are. It is quiet and the staff are helpful. They rent electric scooter as well.

A bit weird that there is very rarely someone at the front desk but all in all it's ok

Great hostel. Nice common area to meet other travelers. Location is good. Beds in the shared dorms are bigger than expected

Perfect location near West Street. Confortable and spacious beds (for dorms). The owner was really nice and helpful. Only thing is the bathroom could have been cleaner.

This establishment might offer the most inexpensive hotel rooms in Yangshuo for the given standard - only $11 AUD per night for a double bed (comfortable) room. Is super clean, hot water strong, TV, large bathroom, effective air-con, sockets and lighting switches within arms reach. Offer free breakfast. Located near Police station, about 200m from old Yangshuo, Get a lot for not much money!

Good stay! Location good and people nice. Kitchen was very dirty however
