One of the best hotel and food was amazing

The hotel is in a good location, close to all the attractions. The room is large and the facilities are relatively new. The service is good, and there is a dedicated person to check in. The hotel's dining is very good, with many choices for breakfast and dinner, and the taste is also good, suitable for Chinese stomachs.

The room is big and the buffet restaurant has a lot of food, but I can't eat enough.

Hotels in Sri Lanka generally have low value for money, and most of the well-known heritage hotels have outdated facilities. In comparison, Golden Crown is a relatively new hotel with fairly complete facilities. The location is good and the lobby decoration is very unique. It happened to be Valentine's Day when we checked in, and red balloons were placed on the bed, which was very warm.

Average room, not worth the price, breakfast is ok

Clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The chefs in the restaurant assisted me with my allergies and prepared food specially. Prabath Nayana, housekeeping supervisor on the 4th was very helpful ensuring we had all that we needed in our rooms. All staff were so polite and willing to assist. Great gym with all equipment. Beautiful infinity pool. Highly recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at the Golden Crown in Kandy. I was attracted to the hotel based on the pictures, particularly of the infinity pool and the landscape behind it. I am pleased to say that the pictures don’t do it justice because it is truly magical in person. From the moment that I checked in, I was welcomed by the staff. They went out of their way to make my stay relaxing and comfortable. First and foremost, I am truly grateful to Mihirini who greeted me at the restaurant and went out of her way to ensure that I had an excellent stay. She also arranged an excursion to Pidurangala Rock and Sigiriya Rock. As I was going for a sunrise hike, she arranged a packed breakfast for me to take which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The food at this hotel is outstanding! I especially loved the Nasi Goreng! The food selection was wonderful. There was a wide variety of Sri Lankan dishes and I particularly enjoyed the curry and dhal. There were also a lot of Western options. The food was displayed beautifully each day, and the desserts are not to be missed! I found all of the restaurant staff to be kind, helpful and welcoming. I am especially grateful to Moksha who looked after me at the restaurant and also arranged a packed breakfast on the day that I was checking out. The housekeeping staff were wonderful as well, especially Madusanka. The atmosphere was very relaxing. It felt like a retreat with the spectacular infinity pool and the lush green hills and palm trees. I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the pool and the sunsets were just as fantastic! I really loved that the staff wore traditional Sri Lankan clothing, it was a really beautiful touch. My only regret is that I wish I had booked a longer stay at this amazing hotel!

Really enjoyed the stay at Golden Crown. Food was very good and the buffet has everthing. Desert table vert nice. Hospitality and service was exellent. Infinity pool with pool bar was very nice and relaxing. Sun beds was exellent. Nice and large rooms with nice balcony.

The facilities, reception, staff, housekeeping, and breakfast buffet are all superb. This is truly a 5-star hotel. Such an outstanding staff and excellent food in the restaurant. Our experience in the restaurant was made memorable by Mr. Nilankan the buffet manager, Mr. Lakshita and Mihirini who each went out of their way to help us out with the smallest need and request. It was a very pleasant experience and made especially so by the staff - each and every one was extremely polite and solicitous. I think the Golden Crown trains their staff very well - otherwise you would not see the consistency in service. I must mention housekeeping as well - Erang from housekeeping went out of his way to promptly and graciously respond to our every need. What can we say - we would go back again and again to the Golden Crown, and recommend it to all friends and family.

Wonderful hotel. The room was large and well decorated with a very spacious bathroom. The bed was big and very comfortable. The staff were all very polite and helpful and Ajith especially so. The buffet breakfast and dinner were amazing with so much choice.
