Fantastic hotel in Udaipur. Most amazing views of the lake from the beautiful pool/restaurant area. Hi***shu was very welcoming and helpful! Lovely room - very clean. Large bathroom… the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Perfect location as main attractions in walking distance.

Location - yes you need to walk 5 mins or take a short Tuktuk because it’s in the old city. The location is great though - 2-3 minutes to city palace or down to the old ghat by the lake. Lots of great shops and tailors nearby. Rooftop - really nice rooftop restaurant with good food and service. We arrived after dark and it was great to enjoy the view of the lake, city palace and the city. Decor - the rooms are nice. ‘Heritage’ rooms don’t have views but are nice size and design. We were in standard en suite, comfortable enough (though we had to move rooms after first night due to the mattress). Pool - this was cool, towels provided, and what a view. Staff - the team were brilliant - responsive to requests and fun on Holi itself. Price - pretty good, we thought, for what you get. It’s not a five star hotel. The rooms all open onto central open landings and not all guests respect early bedtimes and late lie-ins - and I mean foreigners too. Overall we had a very happy stay. Thank you!

The views from the rooftop restaurant and pool helps make this hotel extra special and outstanding for the price. The room was clean and pretty. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. However try for a room at the back. Our room was at the front and directly under the breakfast area so it was noisy. Street dogs fighting woke us up as did people coming and going, hence the suggestion of the back rooms. Food and drinks were very good too

Hotel in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of everything. Great rooftop pool to relax and watch the sunset after a day of exploring. Bright, spacious rooms, (worth noting the times of the hot water- morning and evening to ensure a lovely hot shower). Due to the nature of the building and location, you are able to hear some local sounds- light sleepers might benefit from earplugs. Delicious and plentiful breakfast, (highly recommend banana pancakes) again with the wonderful view!

Stunning views of Pichola Lake from the rooftop 4. Helpful staff who genuinely strive to assist guests Cons: 1. Not disabled-friendly or senior citizen-friendly 2. Taxis cannot reach the hotel entrance; guests must take an auto-rickshaw and walk the last 100 meters 3. Dirty road leading to the hotel with occasional animal feces 4. Lift access requires climbing a few stairs 5. Restaurant is located on the top floor, which is not accessible by elevator 6. None of the rooms have a view, and some rooms lack proper ventilation, leading to persistent odors 7. Street dogs may bark at night, and nearby hotels may play loud music, disrupting sleep 8. Staff appears to be untrained in customer service and hotel ***agement 9. Lack of a general ***ager 10. Apparent disconnect between the hotel and the restaurant 11. Restaurant staff may not seem friendly or accommodating 12. Absence of a ***ager to address customer concerns 13. Staff lacks adequate training to handle senior citizen or general customer issues Overall Recommendation: I would recommend this hotel with caution, considering the mixed reviews and potential drawbacks. The hotel's convenient location and helpful staff are its strong points, but the lack of accessibility, unpleasant surroundings, and inconsistent service could detract from the overall experience.

The hotel is located in a narrow dirty lane and not approachable by cars or scooter ricksaws. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The deluxe rooms are spacious though TV doesn't provide any entertainment. The bathroom is spacious and clean. No cupboard is provided. The rooftop restaurant is ***aged by a separate ***agement. One has to climb steep stairs to reach the rooftop restaurant.

I reached the hotel only to find it was in an alley with dogs roaming and laying all over the front if hotel. The hotel appeared old and in need of maintenance from the outside. I did not stay for the night. I left and they did not refund me.

This is a very friendly, relaxed hotel, with one of the best views in the city. The staff are great and never tire of the conversation about the Exotic Marigold Hotel - indeed they sometimes show the film on their rooftop restaurant. The a**osphere leads to much conversation amongst guests too - so all in all a very positive experience. It is also very good value for money. The food is good too. And there’s a rooftop swimming pool

This hotel was lovely to stay at. I had the heritage room, which was not only beautifully decorated but very comfortable. Highlights include the service, the sunset views from the rooftop terrace, the food and the sense of safety and care. If I'm ever back in Udaipur, I'll be staying here again.
