Blu Tropea Maison

I love this B&B in the city center, we had an incredible weekend in Tropea. It is located in the most centric area of Tropea near to restaurants bars and beaches, Ornella and Kona were taking care of everything and they were also able to arrange a perfect gluten free breakfast. I recommend this B&B to everyone!

Location perfect !! Staff are friendly and eager to provide any assistance regarding all facets of tropea. Antonello and Cora assisted me with organising trips to the beach clubs etc. Shower is a bit small but it’s the view to the beach that Is simply amazing

Presenting itself as a quaint B&B in the town center, Blu Tropea Maison is in fact part of notorious Valentour.it, a ghost company that takes reservations, charges entire stay in advance, then diverts travelers at check-in to an off site property of meager accommodations. They offered my wife room via private email (though they were already beyond capacity) but we immediately learned from our holiday party that they too were being sent to another off site property. In researching their company profile and Ministry of Tourism we discovered they have a long history of deceiving travelers. We were forced to make other arrangements. The voucher they provide was invalid.

This was our favorite little property in Tropea. We have stayed there 4 times. When Covid hit they broke our written contract stating we "PAY AT HOTEL DIRECTLY AT CHECK-IN" by charging our card the full amount on March 17th and then canceled our reservation a month later. We understood the finacial crises they must have been in, and we were empathetic though we were also facing the same hardships. The whole world was. But to violate a contract this way without warning or consent was unusual. We were promised a return stay once we met international vaccine guidelines which we were able to finally get medical clearance for. We sent new dates and they refused to honor stating their own contract language "Reservation cannot be changed. THEY had changed it. Every other propety in Rome, Amalfi, Scilla, Taormina and Palermo honored our reservation as did the airlines, ferries, Trenitalia and private car services. Blue Tropea Maison was the ONLY establishment to act dishonorably and illegally. We have a flight, train cabin, car service and literally no hotel room because they kept all our money.

We booked a night at Vantour's Blu Tropea Maison expecting a stay at one of Italy's great vistas with a balcony overlooking the sea. Instead we ended up spending an entire evening being lied to, insulted and finally threatened. The room, it turns out, did not exist - there was sudden, acute "water damage to the roof" (26 degrees C and sunny all day) at exactly the time of our arrival, even though we saw guests, who probably had also payed for the same room, walk in and out of the property... We were forced to come to a shabby, discount resort outside of town to voice our frustration, at which point we were offered a room at said, soulless compound with no appologies. No thank you! NEVER touch this company!

Soggiorno perfetto! Struttura storica stupenda, in centro, vista mozzafiato sullo splendido mare di Tropea! Personale cordiale e preparato, nota di merito per Giorgia della reception e Ornella della colazione, persone magnifiche! Esperienza consigliata vivamente

Благодаря самой гостеприимной итальянской женщине ОРНЕЛЛЕ отдых в данном отеле был незабываемым и по-домашнему уютным! Все было чисто-чисто и завтраки вкусные, а кофе восхитительный) Отель имеет шикарное месторасположение, и потрясающие виды на море. Рекомендую 👌♥️

Delizioso palazzo, ambiente accogliente, colazione generosa. Sito nel centro di Tropea, la camera con vista mare è sensazionale! Personale molto gentile e veramente disponibile. Complimenti! Un soggiorno stupendo, nella cittadina di Tropea, vero gioiello del nostro Paese.
