Spent two nights here in a cabin, and we wished it was longer. Negatives were: Bed mattress could use replacing. Gopher got in the house- need a screen door! Wifi was supposed to be included for two devices. We lost the one inch square they print the wifi code on. Asked for a new one and was charged $4 for each device for each day. Wasn’t happy but not the end of the world. Pool hours were only 11-7pm. That wasn’t published anywhere I could find. it meant we never got into the pool, which was the reason we booked this location. Cabins have a few minor rough edges, scratches here and there, stairs to the back door a bit crooked, back door sticks, shower door needs to be sort of lifted as it’s closed etc. minor stuff. It’s a cabin. The GOOD: . Compared to a fancy hotel, it might not stack up, but compared to other cabin rentals, it’s incredible value with terrific amenities. Furnishings are decent, comfy, and sturdy. Attractive neutral decor in grey, black and white. Great Adirondack double chair/table combo on the deck. So comfy and cute! well stocked kitchen- all pots and pans, even some bake ware, proper oven, plates, cutlery , glassware etc.. bring oil, salt and pepper and all other spices. Coffee and tea provided. (someone stole the table knives- only 2 left. Please restock) Plenty of linens -comforter blankets, towels, etc. good pillows, Sofa bed decent to sleep on- actually comfortable. Beautiful grounds . Gorgeous location right on the river. River side campsites looked gorgeous. Almost unique in the area, there are many well shaded camp sites, as well as some open ones, suitable for large rigs. Showers and toilets easily available for small rigs and tenting . Laundromat on site- very nice perk. Canoe rentals. Wood for purchase. Dumping for sewer for rvs, water and electric hookups Friendly staff, everyone has a smile all the time. They try hard to please. Quiet. No parties or yelling and hollering at night. (Some might not like, but for non partners, very nice!) Little store isn’t hugely stocked, but had the family camping essentials to help you when you run out of things: bacon, eggs, butter, milk, s’mores, snacks, ice, pop, juice and milk, basic hygiene supplies, you get it. Prices are reasonable for the cabins. Idk about camping site prices. The ugly: the roads into the resort we’re heaved and had holes which I worried would damage my vehicle. Hoping this was not the norm, but result of a storm or something, I would go back. It has a good atmosphere. Fun, everything you could want is available, although there are fees for use of many of the amenities .
