The Roses Heritage Inn

I found this traditional Newfoundland-villa and hoped for the best. Yes - I had a great room with great a**osphere and very comfy bed, nice decors, it was quiet at night despite the road attached. It's a bit of a walk to George-street, though it takes you along streets with colourful houses, beautiful!

Amazing stay! All my needs were taken care of by the friendliest of staff. The host could not do enough to make my stay memorable. Can’t wait to return.

My opinion is that the owner doesn't care about it anymore. Everything and everyone else was top-notch. I stayed there from you on November 31st, 2023, until March 29th, 2024. I saw all the good and the bad. They hire more staff during the summer. In the winter I wouldn't advise staying longer than month cause it doesn't work. I tried to bring issues up with the owner with no prevailing. Some of which were they didn't dust my room in the 5 months I was there, the smell of **** and tobacco through the whole place coildnt get anythinv fixed cause they didn't have a maintenance worker. So, in conclusion, it's a beautiful place where you get to meet a lot of cool people, and the 24/7 on site care taker is really good you call him he will be there cause he is that good. He can really tell you a lot of the history of the Rose Inn as well. Always text the caretaker if you want to get something done. Fire exits were blocked with snow all winter until the owner asked me to do it. Took from that, what you will. I hope you enjoy your stay.

What we loved most: the easy keyless checkin, the bed and the breakfast is awesome (Brie and Megan are top notch!). Parking across the street in the church parking lot was worth the $5 or $10. We loved the water pressure in the shower. The room was neat and clean and wonderfully decorated. The location is on the east side of St. John's making it very accessible to Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi. We had great conversations with other guests. There really wasn't any down side. The city is super walkable. The Parlour Gelato and Espresso bar is up the street.

I will have stayed here for 3-4 months when it's all said and done. I will have a full in-depth review on my last day. The review will be going up on all platforms, so stay tuned Nice place. I have been enjoying myself, and it deserves a very detailed review. Coming soon.

They have amazing security coded door locks. Also it feels very homie and clean. Never had to worry about anything. Just text the 24/7 caretaker and he will help you out. Close to everything. Amazing experience. Also very informative. Great place to stay.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Loved the room, the staff were and the location was perfect. I stayed for a month and I will definitely be going back. It was my first time in Newfoundland and it was quite an experience. The staff recommended some local restaurants and sights to visit and each suggestion was very enjoyable.

Please stay away from this business it was one of the most inappropriate experiences we’ve ever had staying anywhere. When requested to checkout 10days early Carol refused to refund our money! We were under surveillance our every step… privacy was invaded .. locked out of my room and my every move was being scrutinized. Worst experience I’ve ever had staying anywhere
