Solomons Victorian Inn

Posting a review is not something I normally do, but in this case I feel compelled. When in search of a B&B or Inn for a getaway one naturally focuses on the features you can view on-line (the accommodations, the amenities, the location/view, etc.) – all very important. And in fact, all those factors were what initially encouraged us to choose the Solomons Victorian Inn over all the offerings at Solomons, MD. And none of those disappointed. The Inn itself is beautiful and charming, quaint and clean, and perfectly set across from a small and quiet marina on Back Creek. But the B&B is owned and operated by husband-and-wife Steve and Shawn, and it is these two wonderful people who take this Inn to the next level. They are welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and do all they can do to make your stay with them warm and hospitable. A full breakfast is included, and Shawn makes a breakfast that is to die for. She cheerfully accommodates any dietary restrictions you may have, not by eliminating the dish, but adjusting the ingredients so you still enjoy the full breakfast experience. And Steve is by her side serving, and pouring, and doing whatever is necessary to meet your every need. They live on the premises and are always available to you. So, if Solomons MD is your destination, Solomons Victorian Inn is highly recommended. Steve and Shawn make you feel like part of their family, not guests!

We visited the Inn for our wedding anniversary. It was wonderful and truly relaxing for us. Perfect breakfasts and homemade cookies in the afternoon. Walking distance of shops and restaurants. Owners treated us like family, what more could we want!

First, the Inn is lovely, IDEAL location with water views, everything is within walking distance and more. Rooms were comfortable with a "homey" feel and we slept like champs! You can not go wrong staying here as Shawn (she:), and Steven treat you like part of their family! They stay in constant contact with you via text if you need anything. Also, breakfast in the morning is outstanding. My wife and I will only stay here when visiting!

This is our 4th stay at Solomons Victorian Inn, and we will be back! A lovely setting, plenty to do in the area, beautiful views from the Islandscape room in the carriage house, and dependable, delicious breakfast. Steve and Shawn are always attentive. This is the best B&B we've ever been to.

We had an excellent experience. The location was ideal, the rooms well-appointed and the Innkeepers were very hospitable and gracious hosts. The birthday cupcakes were a very special touch. This was one of our very best Inn experiences. Highly recommend this location.
