La Solana Suites and Resort

I booked this hotel via online and did last minute request with regard to my dietary prefereences as i have type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately none from the customer service representative replied. However the owner accomodated my request when i discussed her my request upon check in. I have have rolled oats with me and needs to be heat up just for 5 minutes during my stay here at La Solana. I was expecting a restaurant as featured in the on line hotel booking site but none. Room was very spacious but no wifi. I had to stay in the terrace just to get internet connection. Found thick dusty window when i pulled out the curtain. This hotel is too far from the main beach wherein we need to do approximately 15 minutes walk. We were about to use the swimming pool but we changed our mind as we found it blurry and greasy. Hotel staffs,majority are interns are very accomodating. Apparently its a very quiet and safe place. I love thier 3 cute shih tzus. The lady owner assisted us to book inland tour and transporation going back to the port on our check out date. Constructively, you may improve some your facilties.

Very affordable and good value for what they can offer. Has its own pool and the place is quiet, away from the noisy beach front especially at night, here you can relax, dip in the pool without the noise in the beach front. They offer food and service going the beach as well. Very courteous staff and easy check-in/check-out process. The room was okay, do not expect a 4-star comfort since you paid a cheap price but I slept well and all your basic needs will be provided.

The resort is a bit far from the beach, though just around 5mins or so, so it isn’t too much of an issue. It will cost P50 to ride a tricycle to the beach. Rooms were clean with sufficient water pressure. The place overall was good place to relax, however the rating of 3 came from the fact that the pool was not clean. They did not turn on the filter of the pool in the 3D2N. It was disappointing as we were looking forward to swim when we do not want to go to the beach. Fortunately, the people were nice and accommodating so that saved their rating a bit. FYI. We saw a cleaner that filters the large debris in the pool. But that wasn’t enough to really clean the pool. TL;DR: Place is good but do not book this place for the pool. Place is 5 mins from the beach.
