Olympia Hotel

Umm, the hotel is adequate the staff friendly and helpful, but no snack bar as advertised. The location isn’t great, surrounded by residential blocks of apartments, bins, cars, cats and dust and just not very clean looking. Our room - Well what can you say we were put in a room (4) at the back of the block, overlooking someone else’s patio with the main staircase right beside us so we had to put up with everyone walking past, someone’s kid bouncing a ball down the steps & entering our outside area every few minutes and never seeing the sun. Inside wasn’t any better you couldn’t swing a cat in it, to open the wardrobe doors you had to move the bed. It was poorly equipped, a couple of cups, glasses, plates and a few pots & pans, nothing matched it was all very old & didn’t look particularly clean. The upside was it had great air con & a lovely modern shower room. My biggest moan would be that it was booked through Jet2 and they certainly don’t show photos of the room we were allocated !!

Impossible to contact hotel. No email or Web Address available. Very disappointing stay, im afraid. Very basic accomadation. No toaster or microwave. Most rooms on the ground floor had drainage problems and a constant smell. Rules abound around the pool. Or should I say, pond. Dirty to the extreme. Pebble dash floor, not tiled even in the kids pool. Very sharp and dangerous, as one child found out. No snack bar as descibed, and no outside food permitted around pool area. The only plus side I can think of for this hotel, the rooms were kept clean.

Long walk from bus drop off about 6-7 mins walk hard doing in the red hot heat .Got put in my room 101 it was right in the corner no sunlight at all morning or ever had to have light on all the time in room i had a double bed and a single bed and by what other people said their room was minute but mine wastnt to bad with a small window.Asked to be moved receptionist said they had an agency who sorted that and i could not move room when i finally saw jet2 rep think she fell sorry for me i am a solo pensioner when i was coming back at nite pitch dark to get to my room in the corner there was the engine room noise and permanant pool of water out of my room .So i wasnt happy with my room there is not enough sunbeds they were very strict on loads of things 9am to fight to get your bed you cant put inflatables in pool the staff are watching and telling you off was like being at school the cleaners were the only friendly faces there was honestly i hated being there couldnt wait to get home first time in Halkidiki didnt like it will stick going to the Greek Islands also the Olympia said there was a snack bar but i had heard the cook walked out was not happy at all at my stay and god help you if you get 101

A wonderful little hotel with only around 30+ rooms, decorated simply but comfortably. The staff are all amazing, friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble to fix. Breakfast is very tasty with the options of hot food, cereals, breads, cold meats, cheeses and tomatoes, sweet breads and cakes, all self-service. Esme is there to offer hot drinks and bring them to you, whilst cold juices and water are also available to help yourself. Everything is limitless. The pool and area is kept clean by an army of cleaners who always seem happy. There are plenty of loungers around the pool with tables and chairs in the shade and on an upper level over the pool. Lunch is served anywhere poolside or in the dining area where the breakfast was served, limitted menu but large portions and very tasty. No dinner served but there is a plethora of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets nearby. If u don’t like cats, it’s not the place for you, they can become quite vocal at times but not usually a problem. Would definitely return to stay again. The reason I haven’t scored max for sleep is due to the cats being vocal at times but can’t blame that on the hotel.

Recently returned from a great week at Olympia Hotel, we booked this hotel as we found it last year while staying at the Anna Hotel. We found that our stay was great, lovely view over little garden and pool area. Room was great and we made full use of the balcony. Staff there were fantastic, constantly on the go with cleaning and keeping everything in order. We would have no issues at all staying here again. A big thanks from us. Only issue was the sunbeds, altho they were very comfortable we had a stay where there was a party of 7 or 8 women who would claim nearly half of the sunbeds within seconds of the pool access opening at 9am, actually coming down to sit near the pool 15mins before access was available. we would highly recommend this hotel, as for Pefkohori - its fabulous.

This hotel is over rated. My room 307 was so tiny it was not suitable for 2 people. There was an old brown blanket for the bed which hasn’t seen soap and water since forever it was filthy!! The cleaners were the most friendly staff in the hotel. The hotel staff were not accommodating at all. I had 3 rooms booked for my holiday. Due to a late flight I asked the receptionist if I could extend my check out time by a couple of hours. She couldn’t accommodate not 1 room and stated the she has earlier arrival checking in. My family and I sat at the reception area for 5 hours until our transportation arrived. During that time the invisible guests arrived, because we left and didn’t see anyone checking in. I can honestly state that the location of the MOTEL is very good and deserves the 3 stars.
