Hotel Villa Rita

The food is absolutely gorgeous, all locally sourced and the owners are really friendly. The Ravioli was the best we have ever had, the black cherry mille-feuille was tremendous , also how can a salad taste so good. Top top place to eat. Accommodation was quirky, clean and very functional

This hotel is a gem! Not only is it in Paestum, one of the important sites for Greco-Roman history, it is a beautiful, family-run knock-out of a place to stay. I recommend it highly.

Pleasant home like a**osphere in traditional Italian country house, a change from standard hotels. Within walking distance of the Greek temples & museum, a major advantage on busy weekends. Very good breakfast. Air conditioning & refrigerator not very cold. Nice high ceilings in rooms.

This is a beautiful hotel in the countryside with lovely rooms, a great dining area and a swimming pool. Yet, it is also very well located and a very easy walk to the Greek Temples and the beach. The dinners they served were excellent and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It is a very relaxing place to say.

Lovely hotel, perfectly placed for Paestum archaeological site. Room was good with air conditioning and breakfast had to be pre-booked. Swimming pool was welcome although we had to buy a hat to wear in the water, 3 euros, and 1 euro to hire a towel. Didn't realize until afterwards that there was a drying rail outside our window to hang wet costumes. Staff were all very friendly and organized a taxi back to the station (walked from station on way in but it was a decent walk, 20 minutes, and very hot) and printed out some seat reservations for us. The only gripe concerned the need to change our towels when we were only there for 2 nights so absolutely not necessary. Also the room was tidied on the first morning, when the new towels arrived we guess, which we weren't expecting nor wanted. The room was messy and things like passports were left on show so was a bit cross that someone had been in. I know it was done with the best of intentions but we were unaware that this would happen. Maybe have some notices to hang on the outside of the door saying room cleaning/ towels not required. Most hotels try not to change towels as often as they did for environmental reasons which we encourage. Apart from that, this family-run hotel was very good.

We stayed at this family run hotel while visiting the archeological site at Paestum and had a great experience - fantastic meals, very flexible staff, pleasant and clean swimming pool. The side rooms where we stayed are basic and the bathrooms small but still offer every thing one needs. The main house gives a great homey feeling and we could hang out there not only for the meals (great menus) but also for a game of cards in the evenings. The owner's daughter Rita was particularly friendly and helpful with tips about visiting the region. We highly recommend this place.

This beautiful and elegant family run Villa is an oasis we really enjoyed staying at during our short visit to see the archeological museums in Paestum. There is plenty of parking, and Rita's check in was quick and efficient. Our room, especially the beds, was very comfortable, and one of the best we had during our 2 months in Italy. It also had a lovely peaceful view from the balcony. We had requested a quiet room and were pleased that it turned out to be so. The walk to the archeological sites was an easy and pleasant 10 minutes. The personal attention by the staff showed their commi**ent to its guests. The environment was also informal enough to feel right at home. The breakfast and coffee was good, prepared by very friendly Rosa. They also prepared sandwiches for our lunch at our request. We really wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Rita and family!

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at the Hotel Villa Rita. The rooms and property are beautiful. There is a beautiful pool with a view of the mountains and amazing landscape all around the property. It is perfectly located- right by the ruins and also by the beach. But most of all the service. As soon as I walked into the hotel I was met with warm ness. They are there if you need anything, patient, and kind. They really make the hotel feel like a home away from home. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone and I cant want to come back!
