Midtown Lodge

I booked into for one night as I was only in Nottingham for one night for work. When I arrived I was met by a lovely member of staff who showed me the facilities and which bed I was sleeping in, he also told me the few house rules (no eating in the dorms, no loud music, don't be a d*ck). I was in a 6 person room and it looked clean, the bed was comfortable enough for one night. The kitchen was well equipped and there was free tea and coffee. There were only two showers but the one I used was decent and the water was hot. The toilets were clean and there was plenty of loo roll (I think this is an indicator of whether a place is well run and looked after) The hostel doesn't have parking, and that was quite expensive (it cost me almost as much as the hostel stay did). That's not the fault of the hostel, but it is something to be aware of. My bed cost me £20 for the night, and I think that is great value for money. This hostel far exceeded my expectations. Would I stay there again? Yes.
