Blackwood Park Cottages Mole Creek

Great property with beautiful views.. really nice. Used our hot tub a lot and central to so many treks, towns and things to see. Cooking facilities are included and other than pub food was important with Woolies only half hour drive away.

My wife researched and booked this accomodation, bloody good selection. We we’re treated by Simon and his 2 friendly dogs, received a rundown on the amenities then left alone. A hour later an awesome platter of local cured meats and cheeses . . . And a rundown on the truffles. Very nice. After a day’s walk at Cradle Mountain the hot tub was extremely well received. Provisions for breakfast were again all local (even the Beerenberg jams are just up the road from our place in Adelaide . . . Hahndorf 😘) Even with an overcast day the scenery from the porch was fantastic, so much to see, so much to do but sipping wine reading a book suited us just fine. Combustion heater and ample firewood added to the experience. Anyone who asks, more than happy to recommend this spot. For those inclined, 4G was available and wifi along with Netflix was easily available (Not sure you’d need it)

The most appalling experience we had in a week in Tasmania. We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4. Arrived to find out the rooms were on separate properties 2.3km apart. The owner Shane seemed to think this acceptable and said he had informed me of this 2mths prior. When we looked at the message, there is no mention of the distance between the room. After questioning the wifi that my wife couldn’t get to work, I was told he was surprised, “I was able to even get myself there”. After we checking out a night early, we were then sent a message accusing us of “stealing glass wear” - we took a bottle to the other room and left it there. Common sense defies putting a family 2.3km apart. No logic and unacceptable. Stay at your peril.

The cottages are quaint, comfortable and spotless. The animals on the farm make the experience even more enjoyable. , especially the dogs who are just gorgeous. The host, Shane is super friendly and loves a good chat talking about the area,. The breakfast included is next level, fresh bacon from a nearby pig farm, eggs from the chickens where you stay and the most delicious home made jams and more.. we would absolutely stay here again when next in town.
