Hotel Cervetta 5

This was our second visit to this charming small hotel in the heart of old Modena. Since our last visit, rather a few years ago, the style has changed to fashionable shabby chic. Not really our style, but all beautifully done with everything of the highest quality. Really great bed and bedding - so comfortable. And such a large room too, with every conceivable facility. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff who are on duty 24 hours. The garaging is brilliant and we were frequently in and out to get things from the car, which was no trouble at all Last time we discovered that satnav does not always work that well in the narrow streets, and guests’ permission to drive in the centre of the city is limited to just one route. The hotel now give very clear instructions for entrance and exit, which was a great help. Can more than recommend staying here if visiting lively Modena. There are, too, many good restaurants very close by - just a few steps away in some cases.

We were in Modena for two nights at this hotel. The lobby smells very nice upon entry. There are many small decorating items in the lobby and in the rooms. Must be a nightmare to dust all these little decorative touches. We had two rooms one double and single. The rooms were very small. The bathrooms are tiny. Everything was clean, the linens, the towels. Hotel is well located. We would stay there again.

A great hotel in the old town of Modena, an excellent location to wander around the city. Atmosphere of the hotel is very nice, quality of the rooms very good for only 3 stars, and decoration of rooms very nice. Excellent response in booking, easy check-in.

Perfect hotel for central Modena everything was in walking distance. Rooms are clean if more basic than we are used to but for our stay was perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, they sorted our airport transfers, made excellent recommendations for dinner and explained how to get to the various locations we were trying to find. Breakfast was ok and plenty of it. We’re used to having water, tea coffee facilities in the room. But you had to go to reception if you wanted a drink. If we go back to Modena would stay here without hesitation.

Absolutely the best location for access to the old city, restaurants, tourist attractions & information; around the corner is a market with top rated food stalls and wine bars with quite affordable prices. .Parking next store for 15e, a perk for those driving. Clean, comfortable rooms, accommodating maid service and friendly , accommodating desk staff. Breakfast for 10e; optional. Coffee and teas at front desk available 24/7 w/o fee. Internet access, good-not great. Downside ~ no elevator; however, staff always offering to help trek up & down with luggage. Definitely we would stay again for work or leisure.

Clean, quiet, comfortable room in the heart of Modena. It is in an older building and the office staff made it very clear from the time of booking and though our arrival process that there were no elevators, only stairs, to the rooms. They also provided detailed instructions for our arrival route to the hotel, as many of the streets were closed for maintenance when we arrived. We added on the breakfast each morning and it was delicious and served with a smile by woman who worked there. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, and even stored some cheeses for us that needed to be refrigerated. At checkout, they provided them to us without being asked! Very attentive team.
