Dar Najat

This riad is absolutely wonderful, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly attentive, helpful, and friendly. Amine, in particular, was exceptionally kind, providing us with great recommendations and treating us more like friends than guests. The location is ideal, with main attractions and excellent restaurants just a short distance away. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate—book this place, and you’ll experience the comfort of a home away from home!

What a little gem this place is. We had a few Riad’s booked for our trip, including Dar Najat. Dar Najat was our favourite based on pictures and the brilliant reviews it gets, hence why we stayed here over the others. Now i’ve visited, I fully appreciate why the reviews are so good and why so many people have previously left good reviews. Firstly the staff are second to none, their hospitality is outstanding. The welcome we got was brilliant, meeting Ahmed on arrival, he took our bags and got us a freshly squeezed fruit juice and started telling us about the city, where to eat, where to visit, etc. He said this place is your home, so treat it like that. All the staff were fantastic. Rooms cleaned everyday, towels changed everyday, new towel art daily too. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming in the Riad. The rooms are great, our room had a double 4 poster bed, private facilities and air con, as well as all the other things you’d expect a room to have. Breakfast was also a show stopper. Freshly squeezed juices every morning, moroccan teas and coffee, followed by fresh eggs, pastries, bread, waffles/pancakes etc with honey, jams, chocolate spreads. It was lovely as every day it was slightly different, which was nice, all served on the rooftop near to a plunge/splash pool. When checking in, our room was ready on our arrival, and when checking out, we were able to keep our room, until late afternoon, not long before we needed to leave for our flight. On your return you have to have paper boarding passes to enter Marrakech airport (they dont accept mobile boarding passes) and they let us use the Riads printer for our boarding passes, saving us last minute stress! I’d highly recommend this Riad and would stay here again with pleasure. 5 star in every aspect.

From the start to the finish, exceptional experience and I would highly recommended this riad to anyone who is going to Marrakech. Airport transfer went smoothly, the driver Abdou spoke very good English. He helped me get my luggage to the riad, which was less than a minute from where I was dropped off. Riad Dar Najat is in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk away from the main Jemma el Fna square, tucked away in a quite location, felt like an oasis when I was inside it. The staff Amine, Tariq, Mido (and others) are so helpful, they helped me get the SIM in my phone sorted out, and answered all of the (many) questions that I had during my stay. The owner Olli is a fantastic character, there to help you if you need it. The staff ended up feeling like my own friends/family by the time I left. I found the riad was mid-priced, so the other guests were very well behaved, although the riad was fully booked, I hardly knew anyone else was there. I would have happily paid more (for my stay) based on the service level that I got from the staff, which was exceptional, much better than you would get at a 5* hotel. Some of the artwork displayed around the riad, and in the bedrooms could easily be put in an art gallery, in London/Paris/New York. If you have an artistic eye, you will love the paintings dotted all around the riad. If you like taking photos to show to your family/friends, you will get some excellent photos at this riad. The shades of the photos seem to change throughout the day and this seems to give more depth to the photos, so keep snapping away if you are staying there. The lunch/evening meals served at this riad are like Moroccan home cooked food, the chef Marika seems to have the special touch, where food is cooked like a traditional Moroccan would cook at home, fresh, tasty and delicious. I tried the chicken tagine, and on another evening, the kefta tagine. My friend tried the beef tagine, and said that was also delicious. The price of the meals was very reasonable, and an evening meal is a must try if you are staying at this riad. I found my bedroom, bathroom (and the whole riad) was very clean at all times. The bathroom had a walk in shower, with hot water and very good pressure. My room had an air-conditional unit fitted, which was ice cold. There was a fresh cold water bottle left in my room at arrival, which was a very nice touch. In the morning, the breakfast was made to order, there was always a nice mix of breads, eggs, and pastries. The orange juice is fresh and divine, and the coffee was fantastic. Some of the other guests at the riad liked to talk on the terrace (there are two terraces at the riad) whilst other guests just preferred to be left to themselves. The good thing with riad is there are so many areas that you can go to to be by yourself, there are sun loungers on the upper roof terrace, and all over the riad there are comfortable sofas where you can just chill out. A beautiful Riad in the Medina within a few minutes walk to the main square and palaces. I was greeted on my arrival by Armine who is an excellent host who looked after me during my stay at the Dar Najat. He advised me where to go and where to eat and was a pleasure to meet. The breakfast was excellent and keeps you going until the evening, this is a high quality Riad and a great place to stay

Comfortable & chilled Riad with welcoming staff. There are lots of different terraces & areas to sit & relax in or out of the sun. The huge jacuzzi looked fab, sadly only got to dip my toes in it. There are closer riads to the main square than this one, but it’s less than 10 minutes walk & definitely worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay from start to finish at dar najat. Our driver was lovely and had great knowledge of all the things to do during our stay. Our host amine was more than excellent in providing us with the feeling of safety and best ways to get around Marrakech as well as other points of interests and great recommendations for food places. Overall I can’t recommend this riad enough its location is excellent and is situated in the heart of all tourist attractions without the feeling of being too touristy. We will definitely be back
