Meropi Hotel & Apartments

Avoid it! This is the hotel epiphany of terrible service and poor hospitality. Poorly staffed , underqualified personel to meet guest requests and requirements. Zero responsibility from management to follow-up on client requests. Decision makers and ownership not present during the busiest period of the year. This says alot of lackluster service you will receive from Meropi Hotel. Worse vacation experience ever. Tourist trap and poor service reigns supreme. Don't do it!

The hotel is a disappointment maybe a two star hotel at best. The amenities are poor. The room has spider webs, there is no wifi signal. The remote control for the TV was filthy. I waited one hour for the recwption host to turn on my AC. There is a heat wave happening. It is unacceptable. The walls and windows are paper thin so you hear everything outside. There is no relaxation here. The service is 1 star. There is no help. We asked for an upgrade, we would pay for it. We were denied. Only the owner could help us but the owner was "on vacation"....in August. I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the world, this is the worst one.

The room and hotel was lovely, unfortunately the lack of drinks options for all inclusive and the food let this hotel down majorly! If you want decent food go to Anemi Taverna right next door, beautiful food and amazing staff. The hotel staff where unfriendly and unhelpful and the food absolutely vile and cold most of the time.

We booked 1 week vacation here with full board. This is a Hotel apartment, hotel rooms is ok. Foods are also ok. Friendly staffs. The dining time is limited. It’s about 15mins to the bus station to Heraklion and Aghios Nikolaos. 10mins to the beach. There are many supermarkets, restaurants, bars on the main street.

We arrived late last Wednesday night, the room was a nice modern room with a sheltered balcony which was good for bad weather to still be able to sit outside. The pools and amount of sun beds where good for the amount of people staying. It was very clear what the fees where at the hotel for taxes ect. The receptionists where very helpful and answered the questions needed. The food was average, it is a small hotel so the amount of choice wasn’t massive but what choice there was was good apart from some meats which didn’t seem to be fully cooked. However it was okay to eat for an all inclusive. The drinks list was a little disappointing however we didn’t check prior which is our own fault. If the hotel could do anything in regards to the drinks for all inclusive is to have a wider range of what is included and to also keep the all inclusive on all night as that’s what people do pay for at the end of the day. Now to the main reason I will only rate this hotel a 2 at a maximum it would be a 1 if it wasn’t for other things that where good, Having taking jewellery with me and putting it in a safe place hidden due to taking it off not wanting to lose it in the pool ect, my Jewell’s went missing from the hotel room. After speaking to the receptionist she tried to be as helpful as possible, but then speaking to the hotel manager about it, he didn’t want to know just wanted to blame me and my partner and didn’t want to help or be useful at all. The hotel manager said the same cleaner would be cleaning our hotel room each day of the holiday, which is true up until I raised the complaint and frustration and upset about the missing jewellery they switched the cleaner the next day a little suspicious as I’d have wanted to have spoke to the cleaner my self. Going on holiday you shouldn’t have to fear or worry about your things getting stolen or even being rummaged through, however this has seemed to be the case. Which leaves me upset and unhappy. Apart from that it would have been a lovely stay.

Had a couple of lovely nights here with our own pool for my birthday. The rooms are modern and stylish., great pool and patio area with sunbeds, table and chairs. The food here is delicious. There's also a pool and another pool area with slides and a childrens area in it. The hotel is as described. Looked great for kids as there was an area for them to play with activities. The area is nice too... lots of bars for footy, food and beer. Quite a few shops and a nice beach area close by too. was left a bottle of wine as a complimentary birthday gift which was nice.
