Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

We had a 7-night memorable sojourn in Taj Madikeri. It is an idyllic get away in scenic and verdant surroundings. Our stay was made particularly comfortable and memorable because of the dedicated staff of the resort who, through their eye for detail, micro-planning and an overall determination to give value and the best experience to each and every guest, ensured that all our needs were fulfilled in the shortest possible time. My wife and I would specifically like to highlight the contributions of the following members of the resort team: REBITA SINGHA, the Duty Manager of the property during a stay, was most knowledgeable, helpful & proactive in her attitude and offered many suggestions that enriched our 7-night stay. AROOPA, from the Front Office impressed us with her detailed & helpful introductory briefing and was available at all times for any assistance and planning we required, especially related to concierge-services UMESH, the F&B Manager, and his dedicated & tireless team that managed Ferntree, Grills and Hive (amongst other restaurants) to the delight of all guests. NIKHIL waited on us during most of the breakfast sessions in the open area of Ferntree. His breakfast coffee was a treat for any coffee aficionado so we labeled it: "Nikhil's special coffee". To our delight, he served us at Grills as well during an excellent dinner by the poolside. Akshay, with detailed knowledge of the Kodagu cuisine, was always at hand to help us enjoy the finest dinners in Ferntree. Gowtham who curated our in-room dining experience on 3 occasions with care, efficiency and professionalism.

Aarya to start with made sure that everything goes at the reception right from room selection to booking the unforgettable dinner experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and the Team Taj made sure as always to provide the most memorable experience ever. I am very happy that I select Taj properties all the time I travel to any destination where Taj has aproperty. Truly INCREDIBLE. Not to forget Apoora from the front desk for such a warm gesture all the time. Thank you Vikasji and team to make our stay experience the best we always have.

Even though we stayed just one night, it felt like days. Such a serene experience at the property. It’s a lush green property hidden amongst the dense hills. From the moment you enter the lobby up until you exit, you are welcomed like a family with such courteous hospitality. We were fortunate to have been welcomed by Radhika and Deeksha who coordinated our stay from the time we booked till after we left and everything in between, catering to our specific needs as well. It wouldn’t have been the same without them! The housekeeping staff (Sonu and Joel) decorated the room for the birthday and made sure the room is equipped with all essentials and beyond. All other staff and buggy partners were so polite and knew about all hotel premises and services. The food, location, view, service, activities, events are all immersive! It is definitely a worthy retreat!

Great resort with great staff, facilities and food. We enjoyed every minute of our stay surrounded by nature. The care taken by the staff pampered us to a point that we did not want to leave the resort!! Kudos to the well trained staff and the managers and supervisors who trained them

Absolutely stunning property! Where does one even begin? You enter the premises and are gob smacked by the beauty that awaits you at the lobby! One is so mesmerized by the beautiful scenery and landscape that it is difficult to pay attention to the check-in formalities. On check-in, you are greeted with a lovely cup of traditional coffee. The villas are wonderful, so spacious with plenty of room for our family of 4. The resort offers so many activities which we tried - like the paint ball shooting, archery etc. We also saw a local dance performance held at the amphitheater. Sitting out in the open under the star light sky was a magical experience. The food was amazing - personally we liked the breakfast dishes better than what we tried at lunch or over dinner. Huge and special thanks to Arya who greeted us at check-in and was so very prompt and responsive to all our needs. What a gentle, kind and service oriented soul he is! Also tremendous appreciation and thanks to Ricky at the Ferntree and Chef Raja who went out of their way to accommodate my daughter's vegan dietary requirements.
