"Meskipun hotel ini sudah cukup lama beroperasi, fasilitasnya terawat dengan baik. Staf di bagian penerima tamu sangat sadar layanan dan profesional. Saat check-out, saya meminta bantuan staf concierge, Sam, untuk memanggil taksi ke bandara. Setelah taksi tiba, dia membantu memasukkan koper ke bagasi dan mengingatkan saya untuk tidak memasukkan kantong hadiah yang saya pegang (katanya taksi di Makau mengenakan biaya per barang untuk barang bawaan di bagasi belakang 😛). Meskipun bukan masalah besar, perhatian terhadap detail seperti ini membuat saya merasa sangat dihargai. Sarapan yang disajikan berlimpah, dan staf restoran serta koki semuanya sangat sopan."

"Hotelnya sangat bersih, dan staf resepsionisnya juga cukup ramah. Waktu saya check-in kebetulan tidak ada antrean, tapi di hari-hari berikutnya sering terlihat antrean panjang saat saya pulang dari bepergian. Akses menggunakan bus juga cukup mudah, karena ada halte bus di samping dan di belakang hotel. Namun, hotel tidak menyediakan *shuttle bus*. Jika datang dari perbatasan, Anda bisa naik bus ke Hotel StarWorld lalu berjalan kaki ke sini, jaraknya tidak terlalu jauh. Di gang seberang juga banyak pilihan tempat makan. Di lantai satu hotel sendiri ada restoran Cafe de Coral. Di bawah hotel ada minimarket, dan di seberangnya ada dua lagi, salah satunya adalah 7-Eleven. Satu-satunya hal yang disayangkan adalah hotel ini tidak memiliki kasino. Kabarnya dulu ada, tapi sudah tutup. Jika ingin bermain, harus pergi ke Hotel Landmark di sebelah."

"Bus 102 langsung menuju Imigrasi Hengqin. Hotelnya memang sudah sedikit tua, tapi pelayanannya sangat baik. Melihat rombongan kami cukup banyak, mereka bahkan meng-upgrade kami ke kamar keluarga. Sungguh menyenangkan! Ada juga kolam renang kecil, cocok untuk anak-anak bermain. Saya menginap di sini terutama untuk keperluan bisnis, dan lokasinya sangat praktis, tinggal turun ke bawah saja sudah sampai. Di sekitar area kota tua banyak supermarket dan jajanan, di seberangnya ada Fisherman's Wharf. Sangat sepadan dengan harganya."

"Kamarnya luas dan bersih. Lokasinya lumayan, dekat Grand Lisboa, sekitar 5-15 menit jalan kaki, dan mungkin 20 menit jalan kaki ke Senado Square. Resepsionis ramah dan membantu. Namun, staf di area kolam renang tidak banyak berbicara bahasa Inggris dan kami mengalami pelayanan yang tidak menyenangkan di area kolam renang. Staf memprioritaskan apa yang mereka sebut ”wanita tua Tionghoa tetap” yang selalu ada di sana dan dia bertindak seolah-olah dia pemilik kolam renang. Staf di sana berkumpul di sudut, berbicara, menunjuk, dan melihat kami, dan kami tahu mereka membicarakan kami. Saat kami memasuki kolam renang, seolah-olah kami memiliki akal sehat dan tahu apa yang kami lakukan, dan kami hanya berada di tepi kolam, mereka terus mengganggu kami seolah-olah kami seharusnya berada di sisi lain padahal kami hanya di sudut dan sedang menikmati waktu kami sendiri karena wanita tua itu merasa berhak dan berpikir bahwa dia pemilik tempat itu! Hal itu membuat kami merasa terganggu, bukannya bersantai berenang, kami malah merasa tidak disambut. Kami akhirnya kesal dan pergi, lalu kami menuju kamar mandi dan hanya menyentuh handuk. Tiba-tiba seorang wanita tua kembali marah dan mengatakan jangan menyentuh handuk. Dia bertanya apakah kami dari Filipina dan mengatakan kami pasti perlu dibantu dan jangan menyentuh barang-barang. Kami hanya masuk ke kamar mandi selama sekitar 10 detik dan akhirnya terlibat argumen sengit dengan wanita yang kasar itu, dan para staf terus mengobrol satu sama lain dengan bahasa mereka alih-alih menyelesaikan kesalahpahaman antara kami dan wanita tua itu, tidak membiarkan kami begitu saja. Sebelum kami masuk, seorang staf yang baik hati mengatakan kami bisa mengambil handuk di rak itu, dan kemudian staf menjelaskan bahwa wanita-wanita tua Tionghoa yang kasar itu adalah tamu tetap di sana dan kami hanya perlu mengabaikan kekasaran mereka. Mereka jelas dapat didefinisikan sebagai ”orang yang tidak sopan”."
