Jazz House

I could not fault the jazz house. There was someone there to meet us on arrival and take us through the house, there was cereal and milk in the kitchen for us, fresh flowers throughout, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. The house is incredibly decorated and beautiful, comfortable beds, hot showers and great bar for entertaining. It is not a long walk if you want to go into the city. We were a group of 10 staying and all had a great time and each and everyone of us were blown away by the house.

We are a quartet, and we were lucky enough to be put up in this fantastic accomodation. Everything was perfect for us. Strangely yet beautifully decorated with extremely comfortable beds, and our own bathrooms in each room. Very quiet and a fairly well equipped kitchen. Set an a beautiful street of lovely period houses. Much more up market then our usual accomodation options!

Immaculate chilled out vibe Stylish Quirky Comfortable

As a result of a request I made of one of the employees for a room service it was explained to me that rooms are NOT serviced during a guests stay, even for a stay of a week....we stayed 3 nights. After a long discussion when I was advised to ring the proprietor (she was not prepared to call and then I could not contact the owner) she eventually said she would ask the office employee about my request. In the end the room was cleaned. The regular cleaning of rooms is a basic necessary service in the accomodation provision business. The previous day I requested towels and they were left on the landing floor outside our room. This is poor procedure. The practice of supplying nothing a choice of 3 breakfast cereals is unsatisfactory. If the business is not prepared to provide a cooked or even a continental breakfast a minimum of a loaf of bread or croissants should be made available in a middle range guest house whose charges are substantial. The kitchen is equipped to provide a much better offering and despite the costs which would apply it is not unreasonable for guests to expect a little better. Finally a hot tap reversed with the cold in our bathroom and several broken glasses in the kitchen are small matters which with a little application could be easily rectified and the business would be the better for it. Despite writing to the owner and outlining our concerns, we did not receive a reply.

The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful, enabling us to drop off our bags early. The whole house is warm & inviting; the rooms are very comfortable & have a fun, unique decor. Great location for exploring the city and a short walk from the bus station.
