Great place, the communication with the concierge was really good and easy and we got some great tips from him about the city. There is a great coffee place right next door and some great restaurants in the area too. We stayed in a studio and looked exactly like the pictures, the bed was super comfortable and there was kettle, fridge, water in the kitchenette.

My wife and I have just returned from a short break in Lisbon. Whilst we were there we stayed at the On/Set Cinema Apartments in Alfama, Lisbon. Alfama is quite hilly so be prepared for lots of climbing when exploring the area. We had the ground floor apartment which is very comfortable and was absolutely spotless. The apartment was cleaned every day of our stay and on the one day of rain we had whilst we were there, we were left an umbrella which proved to very useful. The apartments are located on Calçadinha do Tijolo which is pedestrian only, and just down from Escolas Gerais with a Tram 28 stop at the intersection. Just a short distance away is a Copenhagen Coffee Lab which is great for light lunches and pastries as well as their coffee. There are dozens of small restaurants and bars near the apartments many of which are very reasonably priced. We also visited Parreirinha de Alfama which is a short walk away for dinner and to listen to Fado singing which I would recommend also. All in all it was a great stay at the apartments which I would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon.

You could not get better service from the concierge service in Lisbon. Pedro was the most helpful person we have met on our journey. The property was so well appointed including clothes washing facilities. You could cook if you wished however we took Pedro’s advice on a local restaurant and went there twice.We had a great experience.

Fantastic apartment in a lovely part of the city. Top quality facilties and customer service. Loved the little extra touches like custard tarts, cake and wine. Close to tram 28 stop, nice restaurants, coffee shop and supermarket. Will definitely book again if returning to Lisbon.

We loved this place. It had character, comfort, and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The concierge Rui Pedro was always available, giving suggestions for dinner and great breakfast place a block away. He made sure we had everything we needed, plus left wine for us. We rented the least expensive apartment, on the ground floor to avoid any steps, but it was nicely equipped, quiet (during the day as well as at night), affordable and pretty easy to get to. If you're elderly and have lots of luggage, you may want to see if Pedro can arrange some help getting you luggage to your apartment. But that's about the only possible, very slightly negative thing I can saw about the place. And it was fun being in Alfama, after previously staying in the Rossio area of Lisbon. There's plenty of character there, and the 28 tram is very close by. We photographed it and we used it. And Lisbon is compact enough so that with the 28, and bolt, uber, and feet (as long as you can deal with cobblestones and hills!) we got around the city to see and do a lot. To choose your apartment, I'd recommend looking at the On/set Alfama Lisbon Cinema Apartments website, which gives more information than the common booking sites. And book early!

Service, location and accommodations were excellent! Concierge Rui made our stay extra special with his warmth and wealth of information about area. Location is close to many main sights and easy to get to by following the 28 tram lines. Close to excellent restaurants, fado and coffee shops- walk everywhere from here. Place was beautifully designed (experience Alfama, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon, but in a clean and completely renovated a/c accommodation). Note: no elevator and like most of Lisbon, lots of hills in area, but steps away from 28 tram line.

Even before we arrived in Lisbon, Rui provided all of the relevant information we required and was available to answer any questions we had, this continued throughout our stay (he is available 24/7) and is such a a lovely guy. We stayed in O Patio, a contemporary apartment on the ground floor. The apartment was spotlessly clean, bright and airy, the air conditioning worked perfectly and there are separately controlled air conditioning units in the kitchen/lounge and in the bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and although we did not prepare any meals at the apartment it did have everything required to do so. A washing machine is also provided which was great and cut down on the amount of luggage/clothes we needed to bring, there are also detergent pods provided (more than sufficient for our stay). The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen and towels of very good quality. Access to the apartment is by key card and it felt very secure. The apartment is in the heart of Alfama, in our view the best and most authentic area of Lisbon, there are a handful of fabulous restaurants within one or two minutes’ walk and it is a perfect place to wander and stop for coffee or a glass of wine. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending On/Set to family and friends (I have already done so!) and if we return to Lisbon there will be no other place to stay

Sits in the Alfama locale on a narrow lane off the main single carriage road where tram 28 passes. Tram stop right at the doorstep. Many friendly local elderly ladies for neighbours. Apartment is superbly quiet at night - add on soundproof windows and it completes the recording studio experience. A very compact apartment nicely fitted with exquisite furnishings and fine household appliances. If there’s anything missing I would say a safe box. Classy decor, with everything properly planned and laid out. Fully equipped for daily living as though it’s your own home. Follow through from booking till check in was smooth and without a glitch. Flexibility accorded to my changes in arrival timing and request for a short extension of checkout time. Rui Pedro was an excellent host. He wasn’t available to receive us personally but provided everything we needed for a smooth check in, followed by a phone call to explain and orientate us on the property. He was always available for queries and assistance through WhatsApp, and prepared to mobilise the housekeeping team in the event of issues. Kudos to the efficient behind the scenes housekeeping team. Unobtrusively made the bed, refilled the water and topped up detergent pods while we were only briefly out for breakfast.

Where to begin: everything was perfect!, the apartment is so beautiful, very well decorated and spacious (even we booked the smallest one), it is well located, there are so many attractions around, but what really makes the difference is the human factor, what a team, all the time they where so attentive and available. We traveled to celebrate my husband birthday and they left him a handwritten note and a bottle of wine. Those are the details that melt your heart. Thank you Rui and all the On/Set team, we are commuting back for sure.
