Mari Kristin Beach Hotel

Wow where do I start ....absolutely love this hotel from the day we arrived until we left everything was perfect..the staff are so helpful and welcoming nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent something different everyday well done to the chef. The cleanliness of the hotel was also excellent. Thank you all so much for a perfect amazing holiday and we will definitely be back in May ❤️

What a lovely warm welcome we received from Mike. Checked in quickly and shown to our room. Then got a lovely surprise that a meal was ready for us. The room was beautiful. The staff were all amazing

Their car reservation services are very very poor, cars are dirty and smells very bad. Me and my family feel cheated but forced of circumstances with our day plan to visit some places, we took the car for the day, felt very sick and uncomfortable in it. Return the car immediately after. I do not recommend to experience that. Be careful what you choose form MARI KRISTIN car reservation. Poor services and quality.

Just had a week with my husband at this lovely hotel which is ideally situated and only 50 yds from beach. Stylish room on 2nd floor with small balcony overlooking side street with a bit of a sea view, which was cleaned to a high standard each day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We stayed half board and food was amazing with a wide variety to suit all tastes. Special mention to the chef, Seb, caretaker and receptionists who were very helpful. Has a relaxing pool area and could always get a sunbed any time of day. You can also get a discount on meals at the beachside restaurant near beach if you stay at hotel. Thought it was a bit much paying 12 euros for sunbeds so mainly stayed round pool area. Could not get English TV channels and I think had to pay for it but not in room that much anyway. I travelling to Crete again would definitely stay here again.

The room was spacious and the beds were big & comfy. There was a full length mirror. Open one-level shower with no shower curtain or shower screen therefore the water splashes inside the whole bathroom. Balcony view was very unpleasing. The receptionist were helpful with booking cabs & recommending things to do but they were not always friendly.

If everithing is going perfectly, then it’s perfect. I mean the totel is very nice, the room was the best, clean, the location is right next to the beach, you have a pool, the food is awesome, thei even have a restaurant right next to the beach where the food is also great if you stay at the hotel you get a discount. There is even a wall full of awards eitch i think they deserve. Unfortunately for us it wasn’t perfect and we were unlucky to see al their flaws…. First. They dont tell you from the beginning that if you want AC, you have to pay extra. It’s disappointing that a 4 star hotel charges extra for AC. Even more that thei hide it. I mean it were 45 degrees Celsius outside, 35 inside we were loking for the AC remote, didn’t find it si i went to the lobby and the guy at the front desk was telling me with a smug on his face that we have to pay extra. The second event that nearly ruind our vacation was when we went home…we were stuck in the lift betwen two floors. For 20 min we shouted for help until some guests went for tue staff. Yes GUESTS not the STAFF the STAFF was absent. When they finally came, thei pulled the lift down we got out, after 45 min. Offcourse we mist the bus to the airport thei were willng to call a taxi but not to pay for it. It took the intervention from the travel agency to convince them to pay for the taxi. All in all it was a nice, i really mean it. It would be fair for them to sai everything from the start, no hidden costs. And offcourse thei need to work more on their safety procedures.

Very nice, friendly and service minded staff. Good location, close to bus stop for Heraklion, and to the airport.

Lovely hotel, very modern. Extremely clean, friendly helpful staff. It always smelled nice too. We stayed in room 210 which was only some doors and a few steps separated us from the reception/restaurant area. So we experienced a fair bit of noise in the corridor in the early hours of the morning from people coming back to the hotel after the night out. And again noisy in the morning when it was breakfast time. The room was on the smaller side, but perfect for what we needed. The balcony was small, but adequate. The room was well equipped, clean and modern. The rainfall shower flooded the bathroom when we turned it on, so we chose to use the handheld shower during our trip. The pool area was great, lovely and clean. You can have service from the restaurant to the pool side. The seafront is extremely close, as well as shops bars and restaurants. All in all a great location, and stay!

Everything was perfect, only with the showers has better doors, but seriously was amazing hotel and staff were great and the breakfast perfect!!
