Hotel le Bord'o Vieux Port

Great stay at Hotel Bordo! It’s located just a stone throw from the port, in the old town. Beautifully decorated rooms. Our bed was large double and soft pillows.

Receptionists are very kind and friendly, equipped with hair dryer and air conditioner. Perfect rocation and equipments. I really enjoyed staying at La RochelIe.

We enjoyed the hotel; the staff were friendly and had a pleasant attitude. The room was clean, comfortable and we appreciated the tasteful and saucy decorations. The slight downside was having to carry our bags up and down 2 flights of stairs! Overall though we really like the hotel and the location is excellent.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent position for seeing La Rochelle. Interesting area good choice of eateries in area. Provision of ear plugs needed for some especially on a Saturday night. Downside is the taxi system deplored in the area La Rochelle but hotel managed to book one for us. Xx

Bedroom very ,very small not easy to move , no seats , no armchair no table !!!! And it’s the biggest bedroom j chose !!!! Very nosy inside the hotel Not for us !

The hotel is well located in the bar street near the old port car park. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room is not very big but it is enough. Beware there is noise every day until 1:30 am because of the bars. For those who are sensitive to noise, a room on the third floor is preferred.

Owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very unique property, quirky decor. An excellent stay.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel with my 21 year old daughter in the first week in July. It's in a great position, down a beautiful street & a short walk to all the bustling restaurants along the port. The lady at check in was really lovely, friendly & informative (& again when we came back one night wanting a hot drink to take up to bed with us she helped us with this). The rooms were clean & the beds comfortable (I'm a bit fussy when it comes to what I sleep on but I had a great night sleep). We stayed midweek and didn't experience any issues with noise outside. The walls are a little thin and on rare occasions could hear next door but this didn't bother us at all & what this place offered overall more than made up for it. The shower cubicle was small so wouldn't suit everyone. I've been to La Rochelle many times and stayed at various hotels each time depending on who I'm traveling with (as a couple or large group). This place ticked all of the boxes and we weren't disappointed. On another note: I usually take a taxi from the airport but the queue was horrendous and after half an hour we decided to jump on the bus (it was Illico 1b) and it took us only a couple of minutes walk to the hotel from the Dames Blanches/St Nicholas bus stop....for under 2 euros each...so I'd do this again just to save taxi time, regardless of cost. Recommend this hotel....and of course beautiful La Rochelle. Ps. there's a lovely, buzzy restaurant opposite too with yummy food...it was packed so we had to take ourselves off to a nearby bar to have a drink & wait...worth it though as restaurant had great a**osphere. Enjoy!

This is a quirky (in the good sense) small hotel. In my experience of more than 40 years of travel, this is the most beautiful and most functional small hotel I have encountered. It is beautifully decorated... A good place to stay.
