Avra Imperial Hotel

We stayed 10 days in this hotel and had a wonderful time.
We booked a superior room with swimming pool directly accessible from the terrace. The rooms are big enough and they had all comfort one needs: - TV with easy connections to pc - Good closet - Minibar which was filled once during the entire stay - Good bathroom with shower and separate bath - Good hygienic products - Large terrace with 2 sunbeds and table/chairs - Good wifi in the entire hotel - Bedlinnen changed several times When we arrived we were also welcomed with some fresh fruit and a good bottle of wine. We had an all inclusive package which is very luxurious. We could choose between all the drinks and food available in the entire hotel.
And it was all premium quality! We could order room service as much as we wanted and we had the possibility to dine at different restaurants. The hotel ambiance is rich and luxurious. Lots of pools and lots of bars with good drinks and food! Classy bar at the lobby (with special mentioning of the waiter Dimitris who made our stay there very welcoming! He knows how to treat his costumers with a great smile and classy service. This man needs to get a promotion!) There is a possibility to use sunbeds at the beach too and there is a bar there as well. The food was great! Perhaps it could have been served a little warmer at the main restaurant but I think this was because of the lack of many tourists at the time of our visit. The turnover of dishes was not that short. If we could give some extra recommendations to improve even more: - Fill up the minibar a bit more then once per stay (softdrinks would be more then enough) - Some more ‘live music’ of ‘activities’ for the guests would have been nice. In brief: keep up the good work! If we ever come back to Chania we will try to be back at your hotel

Me and my partner have just spent a week in The Avra Imperial Hotel early May 2024. We absolutely loved it! The hotel is amazing and so well kept. We stayed in the main hotel, booked a deluxe room with private pool and we were lucky enough to be on the ground floor so no need for lifts and situated right in the centre of the main pool. This room number was 11123. And either side was 11121 and 11125 so either of these rooms would be great if you are able to mention when booking, as even when we went back up to our private patio/pool area we still felt close enough to the pool to be part of the a**osphere. As we were there earlier in the season it was really quiet which suited us. There were a mix of families and couples. The staff were so great and helpful and couldn't fault them at all. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, 2 big bottles of water and a fruit basket on arrival. The cleaners also topped us up with two complimentary big bottles of water every time they cleaned the room daily also. We went half board so breakfast and evening meal in the Basilico buffet style restaurant. The food was great. So much choice. Filling up on breakfast and we weren't really hungry until evening meal. The salads and bread etc on evening meal for starters was so good and the main choices we found good too. Stuff for everyone. They had a kids section too and we nabbed the odd chip from there ;0) Having a private pool was great, the shower in the room was lovely, just the whole experience for us was top drawer. The surrounding area is real quiet which suited us and there is a local supermarket literally 2 minute down the road. Got the bus to Chania (stop right outside hotel) for €3 and loved that place. Wanted to go again on last night but it rained. Such a nice place and so much character. Restaurants, leather shops, gelatories, bakeries, etc etc... the odd fake handbags etc. Then when we got the bus back we ended up on an air conditioned coach which was nice, the staff at the bus station were brilliant. I think the next bus just keeps coming to one place at the station and then the female staff in the blue t-shirts will go up and down the walkway asking everyone where they are going and make sure you get on the bus if that one is for you, real easy to do. They were so helpful. Bit of a big review but wanted to get as much in to help people if they are thinking of going. Not lots to do at night, suited us but people looking for a livelier place may prefer elsewhere but for a chilled holiday it couldn't have been better for us. Although as mentioned we were at the quieter start of the season. Didn't get into the spa area but it looked nice. Shout out to Manolis who brought our bags to our room the first night, proper gent and couldn't do enough for you, top man 😎👍 So we will definitely be back for another holiday at some point. We visited and stay at this mind blowing hotel for ten days in beautiful and spacious Suite with private pool and jacuzzi. Our meal plan was all inclusive and we really enjoyed the rich culinary program with four outlets. The service was attentive and friendly all over. Especially the housekeeping delivered an amazing in-room experience with premium amenities, turn down service and high level of cleaning service. It is surely one of the most value for money holidays we ever had. I strongly recommend it

My fiancé and myself have just returned from the most amazing 2 week holiday here. We went for my 40th birthday and thought it was the most beautiful place. We were absolutely spoiled in a modern and relaxing environment When we got to our Suite it had birthday banners on the door, champagne on ice inside, a cake with happy birthday message and the bed had was decorated with rose petals, lovely touch. The Suite was really nice and spacious with the jacuzzi bath in bathroom and large separate shower. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. All of the waiters and waitresses in the main lobby, buffet restaurant and a la carte restaurants were amazing. The entertainment is light but there was always something happening. The food was really lovely, always something to suit from the main buffet, to snacks at the poolside with fresh salads, burgers, fries and more. The Seaside bar and restaurant was great too, we loved the ceviche & fish options. We tried all the a la Carte restaurants. Asian restaurant was our favourite as we love sushi rolls and crispy duck. I went over to Apivita spa for a back neck & shoulder massage and to use the facilities and I have to say it was out of this world. I was told it was one of the best and biggest spas in Chania. We didn't have any complaints at all and would definitely return to Avra Imperial for another WOW stay.

Have just recently returned from a week at the Avra Imperial - sensational would be a word to describe our holiday. Service - impeccable - every member of staff was helpful, friendly, accommodating to our needs and absolutely beautiful with our daughter. A special mention must go to Irene from SayCheese (The on site photographer) she was unbelievable, helpful, kind, and so lovely with us - she captured our holiday perfectly and left us with a huge range of memories we can cherish forever. Food - all Al a Carte resteraunts we’re amazing - fresh, tasty food - quick tip - dine at the Italian for lunch - it’s the same menu as the evening! Room - bathroom a little basic but what do you expect. No iron in the room And limited on site which can be tricky but overall - clean, towels changed daily - bedding every other day - comfy pillows and very comfortable bed and air con was great. Pool area and hotel - amazing - we spent most days by the beach pool as was a little quieter and better sunbeds with cushions + shallow pool for our 4 year old. There isn’t that way of much entertainment but that suited us perfectly as after a long day in the sun we’re in bed most nights early with a little one! Will be returning next year!

All perfect… very nice hotel, friendly staff , good food at many restaurants , very nice pool, kid’s club, , perfect for holiday with children… We had garden view that had a nice view and aldo very quiet… Room was clean modern, cleaning lady very nice, one day leave us some flowers… I recommend for a perfect holiday!

Beautiful hotel and friendly, serviceminded staff & nice to kids, especially Dimitri & the girl who ran the poolbar and the cleaningstaff, but allot of quite tasteless big cantina foods, fewer but better options in the buffe would be better and the beds needed their extra matrass to work

Subject: A hotel vacation experience at the Avra Imperial Hotel, Crete, Greece September 24-29, 2023, we stayed at the hotel as guests. We were thrilled and even upgraded our room to the one with the pool. When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that we were not staying at the hotel itself but on the other side of the hotel, across the road. We were very disappointed and felt neglected. At the same time, we requested to immediately change the location of the room to the central hotel rooms since we are no different from the other hotel guests. We begged to move a room and fell on deaf ears. We booked a room in a 5-star hotel and not in a hostel outside the hotel. We immediately called the front desk and asked to change a room (name # Maria) she told us that we might change it the next day and they would get back to us and let us know. No one got back to us! After about half an hour the air conditioning in the room did not work. We called reception and they sent a team to clean the air conditioner ducts while we are out of the room. The next day, when we asked to change our room again, we were refused in the name of "sorry" without any explanations. Towards the evening you decided to change our room to a bigger room: a family room called: "Suite" in the same complex. We wanted to change the area not the room. We even offer to waive the pool without a refund Here are the flaws that were in the "Suite": * The entire time we were in the room, our room was not cleaned. Only on the third day after we informed you (picture attached) * During that entire period, the towels in the room were not changed until (again) only after we reminded you on the second day at 16:00. The towels arrived at 19:30. * The room was located next to and behind a large garbage can and we The smell stank all day and night (picture attached) * At the front of the room today are 2 huge generators / refrigerators that continued to make noise (photo + video attached) - 24/7. We couldn't open the balcony door or sit there or talk to each other at all (; * Around and near the room there are constantly workers making noise all day (we asked and understood that a large group should arrive in the next few days to this complex and we need to work there to arrange the "SUKA building" place for them) - as a result the bar by the pool is closed for the entire period. *The shower and toilet in the room were dirty - full of corrosion (picture attached) * The bathroom lock, which is an intimate place - broken (attached photo) * The trash can of the toilet - also broken (picture attached) * TV remote control without batteries. * Mini bar half empty. Until we asked to fill it. (I even ask to pay for the other 2 we drank in the first room) * There is no soap in the dispenser - O.M.G it's basic! * No internet; Because we are not in the hotel itself, there is no internet reception, so the ability to connect the iPhone to the TV fails *The reception service was long, tedious and continuous/ *

I strongly recommend Avra Imperial hotel for summer holiday. Overall a value for money all inclusive package with lots of choice of restaurants and bars. Open spaces, great ambiance, clean and well maintained property ideal for relaxation. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will surely come back
