Garden Resort

Definitely the best option while in Kai Bae since this lovely and well maintained resort is really peacefull and quiet just 2 steps from the busy main street with shops and restaurant as well as the beach. The salted pool is large and very nice.

We loved our stay here we only had 5 nights and it wasn't long enough. Our room was overlooking the pool and I would recommend selecting one of those rooms. Really good breakfasts nice staff and did I mention the owner. It's the place to stay in Kai Bae

Wonderful stay ,staff very good.Our room overlooks the pool peaceful location less than a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and all amenities. Mouse the owner on hand to give any help and advise. Highly recommend. Short walk to the beach you may even see the Elephants coming down to bathe 😀

Had a fantastic holiday at Garden Resort, Koh Chang Wonderful owner "Mause and his wife Jeab (who makes delicious breakfasts). I had a lovely spacious house located by the pool with a beautiful view of the mountains. Daily cleaning and everything is done well. At the beginning of my holiday I was struck by a flu but was well cared for and received my breakfast at home, thank you very much for that! Ik had een heerlijk ruim huisje gelegen aan het zwembad met een mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Dagelijks schoonmaak en alles wordt goed gedaan. Great breakfast, amazing host, great location, access to loads of films. We loved our stay at the Garden Resort!! I wish we had stayed for longer. The hosts made us feel so welcomed and you get the personal attention that bigger resorts lack. They have started an open mic on a Tuesday which was so much fun and included some great talents. I would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!!

What a great place to stay. Management and staff excellent, our rooms were by the pool and rooms had everything you would need in them and very clean. Bed was excellent not hard mattress at all and fluffy pillows. Location is good as plenty of places nearby eat eat at. I personally recommend this place and will be going back.

We can't praise this place enough! From start to finish, our stay at Garden Resort was fabulous! Great location in the think of all the attractions of Kai Bae. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner/manager. Super clean and freshly painted bungalows, well-maintained; bright lighting. Perfectly firm bed and luxurious bed linens. Gorgeous and sparkling clean pool. TV with no commercial channels but with Netflix. All for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, but we purchased separately and it was outstanding.

Check-in went smoothly. I was greeted in a very friendly and welcoming way and the host showed me around and explained the essentials. Emails prior to arrival were answered in a flash. The resort boosts 20 bungalows of various cuts. There is detached, semi detached with connecting doors and finally, apar**ent style with kitchen and living room. The semi-detached ones surround the wonderful pool with its little waterfall. The others are scattered around a wonderful and well-maintained garden. Sun loungers and parasols as well as beach towels are provided. The bungalows are spic and span and of a very good size which even allows for yoga or work-out sessions. Wanting to, you can follow your coach on You tube on the smart-TV which also provides Netflix (use your own account) and a database with hundreds of movies you can access after logging on to the hotel’s WiFi system. The bed is big, mattress is comfy, bed linen have a nice feel to it and there are 3 pillows a person. Power outlets on both sides of the bed, nightstands, a safety box, a big good-working fridge and a decent size wardrobe with mirror, a table and a desk complete the equipment. The bathroom is pretty big and nothing will be flooded when the walk-in shower with good water pressure is in operation. Another nice feature is the patio with comfy arm chairs and a table. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and you will find 2 bottles of water in your fridge every day. A great bonus is breakfast served in the “lobby and bar” area being prepared by the owner “Mouse” and his wife. You won’t go hungry because there is a menu from which you can pick anything you like, eggs and omelet any style, very fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, jam, cheese, cornflakes, cereal, different juices, milk, tea, coffee (coffee maker with grinder) and more. The hotel’s location right smack in the middle of Kai Bae makes it easy to get anywhere quickly. Be it the beach, shops, massage parlors, scooter rental, bars, restaurants or the 7-eleven, which is just 2 doors down. Stepping out into the street you can always flag down a songthaew (shared taxi truck with 2 benches in the back) which takes you wherever you want to go (other beaches, areas around the island) but within Kai Bae “village” you can for sure do everything on foot. I am very glad to have picked garden resort and Kai Bae. I had checked at least 30 other hotels and read their reviews and often I was put off by: rundown place or in the middle of nowhere, unfriendly or incompetent staff, smell in bathroom, people reserving and blocking sun beds, low quality breakfast, loud disrespectful guests, noise from bars next door till late etc. One can really tell that Corona has taken its toll and a lot of places have shut down, are falling apart or are not up and running as usual again. Mouse and the team make this such an amazing place it felt like we had stayed with friends. Rooms are clean, comfortable with a lovely terrace and have an amazing film selection. The pool is an added bonus. Breakfasts are a treat! The location is perfect with some great thai street food restaurants and a 7/11 next door. Tuesday nights are a bonus. It was perfect!
