Ugab Terrace Lodge

You can see the lodge from a distance precariously sitting on top of the cliff. The lodge's 4WD takes you and your luggage up the steep driveway to the top, where you get a delicious welcome drink and then marvel at the view from the terrace. I guess it must be one of the most stunning locations for any lodge. We had a cottage West overlooking the canyon, so were treated to a sensational sunset, whilst relaxing on the bed. The cottage is spacious, with a generous, comfortable bed (the view !!), plenty of space for luggage, a safe and complimentary bottled water. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which features a large, sit-down rain-shower. The pool is a bit small and quirky, but is is refreshing on a hot day and, again, the view !!! I read bad dinner reviews from other travelers, but I cannot share their comments : our meals were delicious and we thanked the chef after. All genuinely friendly staff too.

Stanning view on the Ugab Terraces and Vingerklip. From our bed we saw the sunrise. Room clean, comfortable and spacious Good and professional staff. Good cuisine. Beautiful interior design.

My family enjoyed the festive season stay at Ugab. The views, service and food was excellent, zip lining and morning walks, therapeutic. The only thing i suggest to improve on, there should be shades close to the pool so parents can sit and watch kids from close by.

Flat and level pitch for our vehicle with roof top tent. Private bathroom with an amazing shower and loads of hot water. The lizard living in the toilet made every trip to the loo a treat :-) Views from the lodge terrace are stunning and it's well worth sitting out and enjoying the birds. Great fun doing the zip line!

There are many great spots and lodges in Namibia. Ugab Terrace is surely one of them. What stands out at Ugab is the great service we have experienced. The staff must be able to read minds. We were asked if we want to stay outside for dinner, when she saw that we really enjoy the sunset and the quietness on the terrace. In the morning the other waitress saw we were watching animals while having coffee and approached the table without making the slightest noise in order to not disturb the animal. When we went for a walk the manager gave us a radio in case we would need help. The lodge itself sits on a mountain with a great view. The drive to the lodge is fun. Everything is clean. The food was great. The service is outstanding. My rating is 5 stars with an extra star for the staff.
