"After two weeks in mainland China we were disappointed not only by the lack of amenities at the hotel but also the service. Unfortunately the Hong Kong government no longer permits bottles of water - however this still doesn’t mean the hotel couldn’t provide bottles of boxed water or be a little more creative with its solutions.  In the room itself we had two small towels- no additional towels for hand, and no face towels. The shower curtain is material and a little old / gross. What was most surprising was the service. Checking in at 8pm on a Friday evening we asked for a recommendation for a spot to eat in the area. She assured us multiple times we would find absolutely nothing open except for McDonald’s. For a hotel of this quality we were surprised by the lack of any knowledge whatsoever by the staff, but also a little disgusted by the recommendation.  If you want a better impression of Hong Kong I would advise looking elsewhere."

"Great location and very central. The room will be a bit of a squeeze for two people with large suitcases however. It's sorta like those rooms in Japan. Cleanliness was good, water pressure good, breakfast each morning delivered to your room is such a great idea and it's a good start to the day. The staff are good. A man in particular was so nice, helpful and welcoming. The girl who checked me in was nice but I think she needs to be a bit less sassy. Otherwise all is good and I will stay again. Thank you"

Too many people and also their luggages can get in the lift only 2-3 persons per lift🤣"

"Total gem. Location is fantastic; close to subway and a plethora of eateries. Less than a 10 minute walk to causeway bay. The room was impeccably clean. Simple gym and free laundry room are on same floor as reception. This large of a room is rare in Hong Kong. We liked going out to explore but also enjoyed hanging out in our room. We even had enough space to host an evening with friends. Tip: since this is a serviced apartment, shampoo and body wash are supplied but you will need to pick up your own water and hand soap. There is a shopping store right downstairs. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

BbarlesqueeeWe had a fantastic stay at Royal Plaza Hotel! The room was incredibly spacious, which is a rare find in Hong Kong. The wide bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day out. Everything was clean and well-maintained, giving us a very comfortable experience. The hotel’s location is super convenient—direct access to the MTR makes getting around the city a breeze. It’s connected to a shopping mall, which made dining and shopping very easy, and there’s even a playground that was great for the kids. We also loved how close the hotel is to the night market and several other malls in the area—plenty to explore within walking distance! Highly recommend this hotel for families, couples, or anyone who wants comfort and convenience in the heart of Hong Kong.

EEdiGThe hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak. Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it. Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid. Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all? Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it. Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green. Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen. Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment? Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.

AAizhaneiroStaying at Iclub fortress hill hotel was amazing. Location is very strategic, easy to access to harbor and parks. Metro station is just 5 minutes walk from hotel, there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. Room was 15 m which is much bigger than other options in HK. Bed was comfortable, towels were fresh. They provide all necessary amenities. Only one downside is that the water from their water station has very strange flavor, they don’t provide bottled water:( Overall our stay was great, thanks to this hotel

CCHEILThe hotel was far from the mtr station but they had a free shuttle bus which was very helpful but be mindful of the schedule of the free shuttle bus. And if you don't want to take a ride on the free shuttle bus and need to follow your schedule, the public bus station is accessible from the hotel. Also, you need to buy food before going to the hotel if you do not avail the food of the hotel because there is no restaurant and convenience store near the premises. You can store it in the refrigerator which our room has. Our room is cleaned everyday even if you do not tell them to do so, the staff were kind and our stay in the hotel was very satisfying for most of the kids .

GGuest UserLocated at Wan Chai, one of the main living area at island. Since it was operated by renovation of old house, there are no evaluator at main living building and reception is actually ground floor of building nearby, but they try the best to make them connected by rooftops as public garden and bridge. They make very effective use for space, as there is a pillar at the middle of single room. anyway I think it is good enough for daily lives and the price. Recommended, if you do not need too much space with luxurious. Wish coming here again!

WWhiteEverything about this stay was just ok. The room was small and quite over priced for what you get. No bathmat was annoying and though provided with paper slippers, not being able to properly dry your feet getting out of the shower was not nice. 2 glasses, a kettle, paper slippers. 2 small bath towels and disposable hand towels did not seem adequate for the expensive room price. The window glass is very thin and made me believe the window was open all night due to the was I could hear every sound outside. All in all the hotel is showing it's age and not really a value for the money. I will try a different hotel next time unless the price goes down substantially on this one.

GGuest UserI’d not say that the hotel is the best, but it’s nice. I had everything what I needed, but the AC was very noisy in my room. The beautiful sea view made me happy. Morning breakfast was nice and delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant stops serving dinner very early. So, I enjoyed tasting food somewhere else. I’ve liked walking by the beach, watch some animals and hear birds singing. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing area. There’re many cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. I’ve just had one night, but I could take a rest.

On my most recent hotel stay, the overall experience was very pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located close to major attractions for sightseeing and shopping. When checking in, the staff at the front desk were warm and friendly, completed the procedure quickly and efficiently, and made me feel right at home. The interior of the room is spacious, the decoration is modern and comfortable, and the bed is extremely soft, allowing me to enjoy a good sleep every night. The bathroom is well-equipped, clean and tidy, and the shower has strong water flow, making me feel relaxed every time I take a shower. The hotel's restaurant provides a variety of cuisine, and the breakfast variety is very rich. Whether it is Western breakfast or Asian style, it can meet the needs of different tastes. In addition, the hotel also has a gym and swimming pool, which allows me to stay active during my busy schedule. Overall, the hotel I stayed at this time exceeded my expectations. Both the service and facilities were excellent. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and look forward to visiting again next time.
